  3. Wolf didn't jump out of the way. I hit a utility pole once and it didn't jump out of the way either.
  4. We need to hear from West Tn. It's just cloudy here in Oak Ridge but we've got 12 plow trucks loaded and ready. Now we wait

  9. Very nice job. I'm jealous because I have no skill when it comes to fabrication.
  10. Being in Knoxville this post is about the elderly in general not about Care All or any specific provider. My mother has been in and out of a nursing home for about 7 years and completly confined to one for the past 4. Last fall I also had to put my father in one. Prior to 2006 while Dad was trying to care for Mother at home we tried various home health services. I couldn't tell you who the vendors were. What I can tell you is that we weren't very successful with them. It wasn't because of any problem with the providers it was because neither of my parents would cooperate. They alway said they didn't need them, didn't want them in the house, if one specific person didn't show up the minute the appt. was for they assumed they weren't coming and complained, etc. I admire you for trying to do this yourself but you most likely can't. Even with them having around the clock care just taking care of their Dr. appts., fianances and their house is a strain on my house and marrage.
  11. Last year I posted a thread about a squirrel that ate the gas line off of my F-150. My next door neighbor also has a truck that mostly sits in his driveway as do a lot of the residents in my neighborhood. Now the squirrels have attacked his truck. Instead of fuel lines they went after the brake hoses and wiring and one built a nest on the frame rail near the tail lights. My question is does anyone know of something we can use as a repellant? Maybe something to put on the frame and/or under the hood. Anything I put on the ground under the truck will just get washed away by rain. to squirrels.
  12. I fly a flag on the front of my house and installed a flood light so that it will be illuminated at night. I saw a few posts back that they are not supposed to be displayed in the rain. I wasn't aware of that. Can someone advise me on the proper rule(s) regarding weather? Thanks in advance.
  13. I got my Droid yesterday afternoon. I've figured out the basics and it's way cool. I've been trying to get the user manual on-line but the web site just keeps freezing up.
  14. I'm glad his doctor's name wasn't Bobbit
  15. I was born in 56 also but I confess that living in what was then the country (now the City of Farragut) we left the doors unlocked and I had no idea what a hippie was. I can remember riding my bicycle in the middle of Kingston Pike (our family still owns the home on Kingston Pike and it's one of the few single family residences left) and thinking nothing of it. Those were good times. (I know that to the folks from other parts of the state (or nation) Kingston Pike means nothing but it's one of the busiest main streets in Knoxville. )
  16. Bring on Summer
  17. I'm getting one this afternoon but it may be tomorrow before IT makes it over to sync it our server. I'm encouraged by all of the postive posts.
  18. Welcome to Tennessee. Send your guns to me for safe keeping.
  19. I may be wrong but I don't beleive that a LEO is actually "obligated" to protect anyone other than him/her self.
  20. Rained all night
  21. What a Hoot
  22. This thread is like the "Three Word Thread" (which I personally find entertaining) it just keeps going & going.

  25. I think there should be a shirt with the moon over Obama, Biden & Clinton
