  1. I agree re: the Yoder.  It reminds me of my woodstove it's so heavy that once you get it hot it holds the heat.  I have a vertical propane smoker like Hozzie's electric and bought a smoke tube that is basically like the pellet tray.  I agree it does work well. Thanks to all, I'm just looking for experienced opinions.
  2. Thanks.  The Yoder would be my preference but I'm not physically able to handle the weight.  Both of my step daughters have recently bought Traegers but I see a lot of complaints and they both say the temp varies. I'm actually thinking about the RecTec which is heavier than the Treager but lighter than the Yoder and is supposed to have better electronics.
  3. I'm just curious about what grill you choose. Thanks.
  4. Any one on here have a wood pellet grill/smoker?  I'm thinking about one and have a brand in mind but wanted to ask what any one here thinks.
  5. USA Today chose Knoxville as its top City for retirement.  http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/columnist/brooks/2014/06/03/retirement-baby-boomer/9437373/
  6. I have seen similar and confusing signs @ 2 local businesses.  To my knowledge all Regions banks are posted.  There is an ATM in the lobby of the local Branch that I use.   The outer doors are not posted but the side window on one of the inner doors is.  I take this to mean one can carry @ the ATM but not inside the lobby.  We also have a local bar/grill called Lincolns that is on the posted list but I had to look long and hard and finally found the sign.  It is up high on a window that is 90 degrees to the door as you walk in.
  7. Basically what everyone has said.  The average person will never notice. I usually use a CrossBread IWB tuckable that only has one wide clip at the back.  That clip does not have the cross on it. The clip positions its self so far around my hip that it is basically over my back pocket.  The thing hides so well that when we took some out of town guests sight seeing a couple of weeks ago my wife laid her hand discreetly on my side and asked if I was carrying.  She couldn't see it and was looking for it.
  8. Couple of years ago before leaving for 2 weeks of travel I locked up some handguns and then added my wife's Rolex and rings.  My thinking was that she couldn't forget which sock they were in and which drawer the sock was in.  Problem was I hid the key and forgot where.
  9. I have the same Rossi you describe but in 38 and have been happy with it
  10. Vontor thanks for the sign location. I've always heard Lincolns is posted but after looking for it a few times I decided it wasn't there and just started ordering ice tea and carrying.
  11. S&W Model 37 snub nose.  I bought it for $100 from a co-worker and fired it for the 1st time 3 or 4 years ago.  I still have it.
  12. Yes,  I did mail it.  Didn't know at the time on line renewal was available.
  13. I just renewed.  Sent it off @ the 1st of February and got the confirmation letter on 2-20 but the actual new permit took about 8 weeks.  I still haven't gotten the duplicate that I paid for.
  14. I was in a meeting with my boss a few days ago and heard "Happy Happy Happy" coming from his pocket.  Fell over laughing when he said it's his ringtone.  I think the show is great and have watched all of the old episodes on On Demand.  I hear there is not yet an agreement on whether there will be a 4th season because the Robinson's are asking for large pay increases.
  15. FWIW I went to the Anderson Co. driver license office last week to pick up a renewal app and was told by the clerk that you can not renew by mail.  When I called DOS in Nashville I was advised all they need is the white copy and that the applicant keeps the yellow.  She did not say what to do with the remaining copies so I've chosen to send them.   Having said that my question is: If you renew early by mail does your new permit come back with the new expiration date 4 years from when the old permit was due to expire or does it come back with the new expiration 4 years from when its issued.  For example if you are due in June 2013 but send the renewal off in Janruary 2013 and it takes 60 days meaning you get the new permit around March 30 does the new permit expire 4 years from June 2013 (i.e. June 2017) or does the expiration date change to 4 years from March 30 making it March 30, 2017 meaning you lose 90 days?
  16. I don't have Showtime so I can't see it but it has been talked about so much lately that I would like to. I hope it's available either on Demand (in a few days) or on Netflix which is how I was able to see Dexter.
  17. Had UT been able to score in the last 90 seconds of the game instead of turning over the ball over would they have gone for the extra point and played overtime or gone for the 2 points and the win?
  18. I got stopped in Huntsville AL a few months back by a City officer because the license plate light on my wife's car was out. The officer was polite ran my DL & checked my insurance card. I didn't give him HCP because I wasn't carrying and he didn't ask if the dispatcher advised him. He was most likely also fishing and sent me on my way. When he pulled out I had to laugh because the license plate light on his cruiser was out.
  19. Every few months I'll see someone OC. I saw a lady in the local Wal Mart carrying on her hip. She appered to wearing a pair of fleece type pants similiar to sweat pants. I didn't see a belt. She was wearing a tight short shirt and her pulling at the shirt every 30 seconds to try to cover brought more attention than if she had just open carried. I didn't get close enough to look but what I can't figure out is what held up the holster.
  20. After several years of increases in ticket prices and decreases in wins a lot of people choose to not renew their ticket purchases. This left the Univ. with unsold tickets for the 1st time. In June they came out with a mini season ticket package where you could choose tickets to one high profile game (i.e. Ala. or Fl.) and, as I recall one other home game. I don't know if they are still offering it.
  21. SW may be correct. No indication of whether he was conceled and someone saw it by accident but becasuse several saw it I am lead to beleive he was OC. Also no indication of what form of carry is legal in Conn.
  22. Can't be football season since that's only 32 days. On Wait!! The election, YEA
