"Well honey... it's sort of a new shooting position. I'd have to show you... it's a visual thing." ... ... Later ... ... Wife - "Now tell me again how this is suppose to help?" Angus - "It's tactical... the "SF" guys do it. I guess you wouldn't understand honey."

I hear Obama is looking to lower the stupid tax on people making under 40k a year, but will raise it on everyone who votes for him regardless of income.

I saw a house cat run across the school's parking lot... other than that we're good. (Not saying it wasn't pretty tense while he was running mind you, just we all kept our cool about it.)

Not word for word "JLowe"... but man that brings back some memories! LOL! I used to hear almost that exact thing from my Granddad and StepDad. (Both Retired LEOs.)

Took me 20 minutes to vote against socialism... and for "McCain/Palin". Wife called and said the same place took her 5 minutes, another "McCain/Palin" vote.

I'm hoping that this shows that parents are discussing issues in front of the kids. The kids in turn are reflecting on what they have heard and trying to make some sense of it.

Got home last night and my son said McCain won at his Middle School. All three grades. My youngest in Elementary school said he voted for McCain. I asked him what made him want to vote for him. He said he heard he was once a solider and was captured, and that since we were in a war it only seemed right that he should be in charge. (Then I ssnuck around the corner and did the "Happy Dad" dance! LOL!)

This just keeps getting better and better. The tone, speeches, symbolism at the speeches, calls for civilian guard, threats of bankrupting business if they don't do what they are told, etc... just mirrors what I have read about the early days of Germany,

What Will All You Gun Store Owners Do......
creeky replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
I agree the thread's question is a valid one, and one Im interested in hearing what Gun Dealers on this board have to say... or it may be that they should say nothing. You never know when a small contained office fire might happen. -
It's stainless... He's really conflicted about selling it. Thanks for the info.

Got a very good friend that shot a Kimber last weekend and is wanting one really bad now! (The CDP II one... can't say I blame him.) He's toying with the idea of selling his Colt Officers .45 Bought in 85-86 for work (cop) but then a memo was put out not allowing single action semi autos so it became his off duty gun. Mid 80's he had custom work done to it. One piece guide rod, new trigger, Match barrel, etc. He asked me what I thought it might bring. I'm not up on 1911's especially Colts. I've shot it and it's great. Makes me miss having a .45 again. Anyhoo... just looking for a ballpark figure. Thanks!

My brother-in-law grabbed a wrench (13mm) and slung it at a possum as he was running out his kitchen door one night... there was a klang. Next morning the possum was dead! Got him right in the head. To this day the inside joke is the best caliber for possum hunting is a 13mm.

"How bad do you think it will be?" Pretty much "Dogs and cats... living together."

Bwahahaaha! Needs a cartoon word balloon that says... "Okay, okay already... now you hold the antlers!"

Apparently it wasn't covered on Nickelodeon or I would have noticed it was on. -

Great job! I hope things work out one day where I can try IDPA. I have always wanted to. -
Yeah! See a need... fill a need. Blackwater Offers New Service for The Holidays! By "Creeky" Published: October 28, 2008 Blackwater Worldwide announced today a new seasonal service for Middle Tennessee holiday shoppers. Beginning November 28th 2008, and ending December 24th Midnight, Blackwater Worldwide will be offering fully armed security escorts to and from Hickory Hollow Mall. Erik Prince said in a statement "During these tough economic times it is important to do all we can to both help stimulate the U.S. economy as well as provide the Middle Tennessee shopping public the access they need for affordable airbushed T-Shirts, gold [and silver] jewelry, as well as cricket phones." Blackwater Worldwide has already begun transferring security consultants from Iraq and Afghanistan for immediate deployment around the Antioch Tn area. Do to the deteriorating conditions of the area, Mobile Ground Security Escorts can not be provided this year. "While we are diligently trying to full fill the needs of the Middle Tennessee shopping public, our assessment is that these needs will be best filled through our Aviation Division. The risk to our operators on the ground is simply too great at this time to begin Mobile Ground Security Operations inside Antioch Tn." Erik Prince said as he ate a Gyro in the plush Cool Springs Mall in Franklin Tn. "We will continue to monitor the situation through the 2008 Holiday Season and will re-evaluate the risk factor for the 2009 Holiday Shopping Season." He said while reaching for a napkin. Shoppers will be dropped off on a secured section of the roof on the Hickory Hollow Mall. (In case of sustained small arms fire shoppers should be prepared to "Rope In".) Once shopping is done, patrons need only to make their way back to the roof and "Pop Smoke" for pickup. (Blackwater requests that in the case of small arms fire during pickup that shoppers please provide some level of suppressive fire.) In the event of heavy sustained fire Blackwater will offer to resupply or allow the shoppers a "Harness Rope" extraction. As always... all shoppers using the service will receive a *FREE special edition Red & Green Christmas Hat with the Blackwater logo on it! *Hats are limited to supply on hand and will only be distributed after a safe return back to base.

It's amazing how quickly an area can begin to fall to pieces. You can almost watch as it dissolves.

I am heard that a patch for "Lantus" (the 24 hour time release insulin) is already in the final stages, and is about 10 years away from market. Which would be awesome as the Lantus occasionally burns. (yeah we keep it room temp, vary injection sites, varied the speed of the injection, massage the skin after, etc. sometimes it burns sometimes it don't... we're thinking it has to do with the PH balance at the time of the shot since it is acid based and crystalized. Just a guess though... I'm a printer not a drug rep or lad tech.) David Waldrip... I'm thinking as he gets older and has had this longer he may want to try the camp. I think it would be good for him. But it will be a wait and see. Hyaloid... Before we left the hospital we were informed of everything else we have to watch for. Vision, circulation, dental, etc. At the time it was pretty over whelming but now it seems a little more manageable. nitrous_mike... We're already dreading the "teenage years". A class we took said that is a hard time for "Type I's". The body is majorly changing, hormone productions are causing blood sugar levels to vary, they are wanting more independence, etc. All the more fun for Mom and Dad.
