  1. A good AR should do about 1-1.5inch groups at 100yds. The biggest thing is how you are shooting. If you are shooting while running down a hill, then 6" at 100yds would be phenomenal, but 6" off a rest, you might have an issue. Aimpoints are BA, so I'd think that you should be doing less than 3" off a rest.
  2. ASUS, Gigabyte, Intel, Epox, MSI... all good boards. They all make boards for all kinds of applications. Asus computers are great from what I hear. They are cheap because you aren't paying for a name like Apple. You can build a $1000 Mac equivalent for $250. Dell is guilty of the same namewhoring that Apple does, just not as bad. Dells also are terrible. I have had 1 good Dell and that was nearly a decade ago. The best computer I've ever had is the one I'm using and I built it myself. If you want a good computer, find a computer geek that you trust and ask him to build one for you.

  4. These graphics look very, very good.

    WADDAYATHANK?

I think that rifle is called the XM109. Do not shoot a coyote at any range with a .22lr unless it is attacking you and you have no other option. Unless of course, you just want to injure it. If you want to stay in the same price range and annihilate a coyote at 300yds, pick up a Mosin Nagant. An SKS would also be fairly cheap and do well.
  6. Not studying numerical analysis, that's for sure. +1, I love those sites.
  7. Oh, ok, I've read about that camming. I didn't know that it would differ between otherwise identical guns, that's a good tip. Thanks. The 25rd mags are CZ factory. You can order them off the site.
  8. Me: "Hi, I'm looking for a DA/SA, hammer fired, alloy framed pistol with a decocker." Salesman: "You mean you don't like Glocks? Here, look at this Glock." and one of my favorites Bass Pro Shop Guy: "I don't know anything about these CV's (CZ's), they're foreign guns. I really only mess with Glocks (made in Austria) and Springfields (made in Croatia)."
  9. What exactly is "trigger-camming"? Also, I've been thinking about getting a 75BD so I can get some of the 25rd mags for home and use the 16's for carry. Am I correct in assuming the 25rd'er would have about a 3/4" gap between the bottom of the grip and the baseplate of the mag?

    CZ questions

I am one "sold bass guitar" away from purchasing my first pistol...ever. I have set my sights upon the CZ 75D PCR for its reputation, capacity, alloy frame, ambidextrous decocker, and the general solid feel of the CZ 75 series in my hand. Has anyone here shot a PCR and what were your general impressions of the gun? Is the size difference between it and the SP-01 series big enough to merit losing 4rds capacity? Is the lack of an accessory rail on the frame a big deal when it comes to carry?

    AR Hype

Not sure where you're trying to go with this, but the AR-15 platform is just good. I could carry mine 10mi on rugged terrain without any problem and quickly put 30 shots into the vital regions of a silhouette at 100yds standing without any appreciable fatigue (or reloading ). If you can do that with your m1, then all the talk about AR's is hype. Until then, I like to believe that the AR has gained popularity for a reason. If woes of easily replaceable parts is the worst you can say about the platform, then I recommend you get a couple for yourself.

  14. This AK/Glock/HK/etc. is so rugged/reliable, you could pour a concrete slab on top of it, jackhammer it out, load it with the wrong caliber ammo, and it will shoot without failure, underwater. Birdshot is great for home defense because it won't go through drywall, but since it's a shotgun, it's gonna vaporize the bad guy when you hit him.
  15. Looks like a Saiga that needs to be converted. Ug-lee.
  16. Unbiased Opinion: Handgun Safety Course = Not a forum for political discussion Biased Opinion: This guy is a douche and should be teaching yoga or something since he hates 2A so much.
  17. Is there a picture of it without a dude's hand on it? This looks kinda cool...tacticool.
  18. Whole foods has just about any organic thing you can think of. It is expensive though. I don't like going because the people there seem like a bunch of vegan, yoga-loving, yuppies...so my wife does it for me when we get stuff there.
  19. Mt wife gets us mainly organic foods. You can get them at any grocery, but a cheaper route is to purchase from organic local farmers. You can do that by joining a co-op or going to the farmers market. Organic foods are kinda weird about the pricing. Certain things are close to the price of the regular option and others are considerably more expensive. It is a worthwhile venture, though, to try to eat organic as foods these days have a whole lot of pesticides and hormones in them.

    HK P30

So, I got to hold my buddy's new P30 last night and was really impressed with how good it felt in my hand. I had held a USP before and it was way to bulky for met to even think of carrying it. My question to you gents is, does the HK45/HK45c have the same form factor? Is the grip about the same width and everything? From the website, it looks like it might be pretty close. Also, for a HK45 can you get a threaded barrel?
  21. I've got the left handed model. It's a tack driver, 1/4 MOA all day long.
  22. If they are indeed a nuisance and the meat is being used then it's okay. This is not sportsmanship by any means, it's eradication.
