  1. I'd take that on as a project. But I have an unhealthy love for Sears branded items.
  2. I didn't say he was.
  3. I love defense. I hate high scoring football. College football is awful. This wasn't a defensive showcase. The offenses were just that terrible. The game MVP didn't even have a touchdown.
  4. There was nothing super about that game.
  5. 600 yards. But the price isn't just for the long range rifle. Its for all of the disciplines. There is a old west town for the SASS guys. An Action Pistol range for the IDPA/IPSC and 3 gun guys. Trap and Skeet and a trail through the woods and a wobble stand for the shotguns. A static pistol range. There is an archery range and two ponds to fish.
  6. Yes they will be able to repair more easily. But they can’t provide it. You’d still have to send it to them and they do the repairs.
  7. There you go. Sometimes, over-engineering, even if unnecessary leads to advancements that we couldn't have seen otherwise. Plus, from the design and way that they wrote the article, I'm thinking that is designed more with an eye towards .mil applications with belt feds. If it manages to mitigate heat, even back to the barrel, it keeps that gun in the fight longer.
  8. I don't think the moving parts are to accomplish the sound reduction. I think the moving parts are to do more than one thing.
  9. Now if only they would release the CZ75 SA suppressor ready that I want.
  10. Where did you get the numbers from? The article says sub 140s which would mean below 140. And perhaps having the quietest can wasn't the goal.
  11. Don't just look at the sales tax though. Look at the overall tax burden in the state and we are the third lowest taxed state. https://wallethub.com/edu/states-with-highest-lowest-tax-burden/20494/
  12. I don't necessarily disagree. I have a Harris I move between rifles now. I like it plenty and don't necessarily see a reason to spend more.
  13. People have been buying Atlas bipods that cost that much for years. Even though its high, people are going to spend the money for quality products.
  14. Guys are using 1500 dollar tripods now. This bipod is cheap is comparison.
  15. I could be. Like I said, I don’t see it. But that doesn’t mean that it ain’t there.
  16. There are a couple of new products but I'm going to focus on this one. The AAC Jaeger 30. MSRP $449. Sounds awesome. A very affordable can rated for 300 win mag and smaller. https://www.advanced-armament.com/Jaeger-30_p_752.html?_bta_tid=26896381835476429281285461836602537231131002527621154498876057792524250710884059197117094903527809609254 Everything sounds amazing until you get to that aluminum mono core. I'm very curious how long that would last shooting 300 win mag through it.
  17. I was talking to some friends the other day and we were discussing online orders and they compared a price to another and said something about tax. I told them that my policy has always been to assume that they will charge me tax and then just be pleasantly surprised if they didn't. I never let that influence my decision of who to do business with because they are just trying to cover their tails.
  18. According to their instagram and the Scorpion Facebook group, they have already shipped the first batch. I personally don't like the micro or k conversions because I think they are too small. But I also think its amazing that a company saw what the aftermarket was doing and they said, hey, we can offer that from the factory. I love my scorpion SBR. You will love the thing.
  19. I don't really see it. It doesn't mount back over the barrel. It has moving internals and I've never seen an OSS that looked like a heat sink.
  20. Looks like TBAC is launching a bipod. https://www.recoilweb.com/thunder-beast-launches-tbac-bipod-shot-2019-144903.html Kind of looks like it is somewhere in between some Harris offerings and Atlas offerings.
  21. Well this is interesting. A suppressor with what sounds like moving parts. I'm very interested in seeing more from this as it becomes available. https://www.recoilweb.com/state-of-the-art-with-mad-minute-suppressors-146133.html
  22. Dude, I think its time to retire. Maybe take a desk job. Hey @Chucktshoes, maybe this thread is appropriate to discuss the militarization of police, overuse of SWAT and what that has to do with the war on drugs.
  23. I disagree with DaveTN on this. Cops aren't there for you. They work for the prosecutors. I bet its a rare occurrence for a defense attorney to have a cop as a star witness. But the prosecutors sure will. Don't give the cops/prosecution anymore than you absolutely have to until you have an advocate of your own.
  24. It would be Gallatin, not Franklin. And I don't know that the Gallatin plant has made any. I don't think these guns are big sellers so they may do small runs every few years rather than constant production.
  25. I don't see the new hipoint being in demand enough to be at msrp or higher. I expect street price to start at 150 ish. Of course its all speculation. Also, the shield and the hi point are different categories. Pocket guns to full size.
