The letters that they wanted excluded were pertinent the firearm above. The pistol the guy built had a cheek weld receiver extension, not a brace. There was a letter about that. The extension was modified by adding a cane tip to the end. There is a letter about that. Those are the letters that were excluded. The cheek weld was also modified to extend and I don't think there is any letter about that. And most well educated NFA people believe that specific modification is what caused this case.

Again, this case has nothing to do with braces.

That knife is a Randall 1. It's a fighter. Randall calls it an all purpose fighter. But it isn't a bowie. The attached screenshots are from the Randall catalog and they show the Randall bowie models.

Nothing is wrong with it. I just don't think they make the best OTF. I think Microtech has them beat on OTFs.

If your clip looks like his, the pattern is the same as bench made. the hole spacing looks a little smaller but it may be the same. If it is, try and get an aftermarket clip. Perhaps a titanium one. Oh look, found a bunch of options. https://mxggear.com/collections/endura-4

Everyone is focusing on the brace thing. First off, this has nothing to do with an arm brace. It was a cheek weld extension from Maxim Arms. Secondly, the most important part of this case is the ATF and AUSA successfully hiding evidence from the jury (the letters) and then the court sealing the records of the case. This is very bad for us. And I know that the general consensus has always been that if the letter isn't addressed to you that it doesn't apply to you. But the BATFE knows that if you introduce those letters in front of a jury, the jury isn't going to rule that way. The jury is going to say, well you allow it for them, its legal for the defendant too.

I say. Basically, if Randall didn't call his #1 a bowie, but rather just a fighter, then it isn't a bowie. Randall patterned some bowies but they all have the same design feature that most associate with a bowie, an exaggerated clip. Bo Randall is kind of the father of the modern custom knife. Or at least he and Bill Scagel (whom Bo drew lots of inspiration from) are. If Randall didn't call it a bowie, I'm not calling it a bowie. It's a pretty knife E. No doubt about that. But I will continue the previous discussion we had. It's not a bowie. That is more of a Randall #1. It's a beautiful pattern, but not a bowie.

I own a Vortex and I can't remember if it is a diamondback or a crossfire but its a smaller scope that I use on a 22 rifle. I had to send it back because the turret came apart. They took good care of me and returned my scope in short order. A good friend owns a first generation Viper and it is hazy around the edges at full magnification. They claim its normal. Even though that is all of my personal experience with Vortex, I still think they make good stuff for the money and you can't really go wrong.

Although I currently own more SR9 mags, I immediately swapped it to the Glock mag well. I'll be buying a few 33 rounders for it. I also need to order a three lug for it.
