  1. Two panes. I wasn't seeing it as two panes but that makes a lot of sense. I would still hope that whatever I'm carrying would have the guts two pass through two panes of glass (automotive excepted). But a ricochet makes sense. I'm just really curious.
  2. Upon further inspection, I can see where the bullet hit the glass. Definitely didn't hit the frame. The description said it was still lodged in the glass. I think there is a study in bullets and loads to be taught here but I don't have enough information.
  3. If you make two, I'd bet @Chucktshoeswould want one too.
  4. Can we talk about the glass? Do y'all think it hit the glass or was more likely stopped by the frame and the impact caused the glass breakage? I'm guessing 380 and didn't have enough guts to pass through the aluminum frame.
  5. And the follow up shows how a silencer changes the blast.
  6. I love the color of the Virago. Buddy just picked up a 98 Virago 1100. I'll be helping him get it back on the road this winter.
  7. Get yourself one of those infrared thermometers and check the temp inside the bore. When it's back down close to ambient, you are ready for the second shot. Also be sure to clean the bore between rounds.
  8. Back in January of 2018, Ruger announced the Hawkeye Long Range Target. Until recently, it was only available in 300 win mag. I don't necessarily need 300 win mag so it was nothing more than an extra gun if I ever got one. But they just announced a couple of more calibers including a 6.5 creedmoor. I would like to start trying my hand at some longer distance shooting and only have milsurps and a Ruger GSR that could shoot out that far. I'm not going to scope any of them so I need a new rifle. I love the Mauser based action of the 77s and shooting my GSR has only made me love it more. So does anyone have one and what do you think? Its less than the price of an RPR so I'd be saving money some money there that I could invest in better glass.
  9. IT Crowd is one of my favorite shows.
  10. Went back today with some better ammo. Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle 100 yards iron sights hornady custom 168 Im ridiculously happy with that. I’m gonna get out there a couple more times with this ammo and see if I can repeat it and get the sights adjusted better They’re obviously a little high right now.
  11. When you use the word they, are you admitting that Trump is a Democrat? Just curious.
  12. 90 days to surrender or destroy. No mention of a buyback, because they don't care you paid for it. http://fortune.com/2018/11/29/trump-bump-stock-ban-announcement/?fbclid=IwAR0h9Jr2gXqmaPvyYFGzvlY1qLHPmo9hRHVsNZ37omez5LojNAsc-OXVYbM
  13. Here is a good basic article to start. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-lasvegas-shooting-guns/inventor-of-bump-stock-spent-years-fighting-for-device-and-lost-idUSKBN1CB2TF
  14. Challenged how? He tried. He lost. He did challenge it and lost.
  15. Again, no. This has happened before. Bill Akins spent years after they changed their minds trying to get something. Instead, it bankrupted him and that's entirely on him according to them.
  16. In order to make it happen, they would have to have an amnesty period. Technically, they would be post 86 but registered during an amnesty making them trannies. Doesn't matter, it is not going to happen.
  17. You should find a way to watch the entire episode. Its not just about gun control but also about the interpretation of the second amendment and how attitudes of guns in general have changed through recent history. It's as unbiased a look at firearms as I've ever seen. Adam Winkler's appearance was a nice touch.
  18. Give them an inch and see what they do.
  19. $300, at most. I'd be happy for the mags but I'd have to throw away that awful grip immediately and buying a replacement isn't cheap.
  20. I was just happy to see them portray Reagan for who he really was.
  21. Pretty sure that it started out as a CollegeHumor show on YouTube meant for millennials. I can certainly see it not appealing to adults.
  22. I joined when it was 400 initiation and 240 per year. It was steep but I had no place else to shoot rifle so I made it work. I haven't regretted it yet.
  23. The big private range in Memphis has a similar fee. Everyone says the same thing and after they visit, they start seriously considering paying. Most can afford it and find a way. Some can't. I think you find that it's worth it.
