  1. Someone in the NFA group was talking about their conversion for these recently. I think it was Jeb Burnett in Arkansas that does them. Looked like a solid conversion that was removable if you ever saw the need.
  2. When a gun is so big that it gets classified as a DD, its amazing and I want it.
  3. That may be more true than I care to believe. I was accused by an angry liberal of being an incel recently.
  4. Oh I'm perfectly aware. But I'm a Ruger nut. I've wanted an AC556 since I was a kid watching the A-Team. It's an itch that I can't get to go away and I'm going to have to scratch it at some point. I'll still get a Mac, it just won't be first.
  5. I chose not to procreate for the very reasons we are discussing.
  6. We've been in trouble for a long time. It's a slow decline. Hopefully I don't live long enough to see the end.
  7. That's awesome. I'd still love to get a Mac but I can't shake the want for an AC556. I really need to start saving for one.
  8. You think very highly of the general public. I fear that you are wrong.
  9. Awesome. Whatcha gettin? And my understanding is that they are hoping to have eform 4's online after the new year.
  10. No. Because we can all change minds one at a time. Its easy to have a reasonable conversation with a person one on one. When you speak to a group, herd mentality takes over and you are demonized rather than respected. And then to demonize the right in the media after it gets shut down. "We tried and they care more about keeping their guns than dead babies."
  11. Just the fingerprint cards and a cover letter. Everything else, trust doc and picture and RPQ are uploaded to the eforms site. Some people are claiming that its only people that are already listed as RP's on FFL's that are getting them back that fast but I haven't seen any confirmation of that. I have seen the approvals so I know that people are getting F1's back in as little as 12 days. I just don't know if they had to send in fingerprint cards or not.
  12. Yall should watch the videos that he creates. Sonic Highways the TV show had a good bit of candid conversation from him about music. And the video for his new solo single has a few minutes as well. He is truly passionate about his art and it comes through.
  13. But even the auction company put the lot value at 800-1100 dollars. What did the buyer and bidders know that we are missing? Yes I know this over a year old but it was just linked in another thread.
  14. This is what I bought and then I found out that I really didn't care for either system. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019CSOQHI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The hangers work okay but if you have a heavier pistol, I don't trust them long term. They tend to flex a little more than I like. The racks are great and I like them okay, but they require the shelf to be moved down farther that I care to do. So I ended up not using them either. My safe just isn't laid out for that system. I ended up buying the Liberty accessory door panel and it is enough storage for now. I can fit about three more pistols before I'll have to figure something else out. At some point, I'd either like to rebuild the interior of the safe or just relegate this one to the longest guns and get a second safe for the shorter rifles and pistols.
  15. I have it labeled as March 2011. I don't see any Jackets so it must have been a warm March or I have the month wrong. Regardless, here is one of the only pictures I have that have you in it. And a playlist of the videos from that day.
  16. Brownell's runs sales on their firearms constantly. I would imagine that this will be regularly available for well under the 2500 MSRP. And it's not that surprising that another 1911 option would pop up in that price range. Even Ruger just announced their "Custom Shop" and the first two guns coming out of it are a 650 dollar 10/22 and a 2500 dollar 1911.
  17. As of a few weeks ago, eForms are back online for Form 1. Anyone else filed anything this go around? I filed one November 1. Seems most people in this new batch are getting them back in 10-15 days. Here's hoping.
  18. You say that it is not a science but then you literally make it into a science. You just described science!
  19. Bump stocks don’t make guns “fully automatic.”
  20. How can a pistol have a length of pull?
  21. I'm a long time subscriber of Destin's. I've seen just about everything he's posted and listen to his podcast. The backwards bicycle is definitely one of the cooler things that he's ever done.
  22. A YouTube channel called SmarterEveryDay recently posted a video about Shockwave Shadows. He uses mirrors and high speed cameras to capture stuff that isn't visible to our naked eyes. His name is Destin. Destin started by filming a 50 cal round moving and then went down to 300blk supers and then subs. And the footage of the subs is really fascinating, especially when he goes to an expert. Then he filmed a revolver with the same technique. Check out all of that gas from the cylinder gap.
  23. Great point. Let's discuss portable safes that you can put your entire car/truck in. GO!
