Budsgunshop.com usually has S&W Sigmas on sale on the main page. They also have a search engine that you can type in caliber and price range. This will give you a good list of models in your price range. Good Luck and Safe Shooting!

Ummm... Well to be honest the furthest I've shot a Saiga 223 was at about 25 yards, offhand, at dusk. I actually have the Crazy Bones as Terrorist target hanging on my closet door. My 5 round head shot grouping was about 2 inches with iron sights. That's about the same as my (former)AR. Admittedly I am a poor rifle shooter... I was using Remington 55 grain FMJ. As soon as I can shoot rested at distance I will be sure to post again. The recoil from a 223 AK seems alot less than from the 7.62X39, but alas I couldn't do a side by side comparison. Can't wait to try a 308.

I can always use another set of eyes and ears while shooting at Prentice Cooper. Don't know when, but I'll definitely let you know the next time I'm able to go. You'll be more than welcome to shoot my 2nd Generation G19. I've never shot a Kahr so that will be cool. I'll shoot you a PM whenever it looks like I can sneak away for a few hours. Looking forward to meeting another ChattanoogaShoota.

Personally I've shot a Yugo AMD underfolder, a MAK-90, WASR-10, and a couple of Saiga 223's that we're converted by individuals. They all went bang every time. And were fun to shoot. I have yet to convert one myself but plan on doing a 308 Saiga in the not so distant future. Worth converting? Definitely. Bargain? No. But you get what you pay for. IMO I'd rather have a brand new stock Saiga with a 10 round magazine than a WASR with a 30.

I second the shoot the snot out of it motion. That is a beautiful pistol, if you do send it in please keep us updated. Wait a minute, my Mil-Spec has a black trigger. I don't know how to remove it so maybe we could just trade pistols for convenience sake...

Personally I wouldn't transport any firearm with a chambered round unless it was attached to me. Cars are easy targets so I would recommend keeping it out of sight and as secure as possible. Don't know the legal issues involved but I wouldn't want anyone to know it was in my vehicle.

Forget how it looks, did you hit the target? Or did the welders mask and grinding gloves not allow you to do your best? Keyholes? All in one hole? How did it compare to your LCP's? As far as the range blanket, I've had to use a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beach towel before... Anyways bet your grandfather paid less than $50 OTD before TICS and inflation. Not a bad investment considering its used, worth $75? now AND we all know chrome only goes up in value. Thanks for keeping it real!

Congratulations Sir! And thanks for info about the new models. Can you install gangsta sights on my G19 now?

I would say 90% of 1911 owners don't know how to completely disassemble their 1911's. To be honest I waited 14 years to learn how to disassemble my Glock. Will definitely learn how to do this soon. Congratulations for bettering yourself, and your 1911.

The seam looks like a thin hair on my Mil-Spec barrel and is undetectable by touch. Practically invisible until you know its there. I'm pretty sure that seam is supposed to be flush. Maybe you should contact Springfield? Better safe than sorry...

9X18 is actually a bigger diameter bullet than 9X19 or 9X17(.380). I think in a survival situation that you can safely fire 9X17 in a 9X18. But NO other combination EVER!

Played with one at Sportsman's Warehouse a few months ago. Very Nice! Congratulations. Now shoot the crud out of it.

I'm very curious as to how and why you polished the feed ramp on your Les Baer? It's really cool that we can see your reflection!!!!

SO you've got a good looking and great shooting AR. Not to mention the best CQB sight. Well done, sir. Happy Shooting!

Can't wait to see if a G21 will finally fit my hand.

That looks like an awesome setup! -
I have a Wilson Combat Stainless steel 8 rounder that does the same thing because it was designed that way in order to be more reliable. Doesn't say which model number it is on it but I remember there were a couple of different 8 rounders to choose from. I apologize for my earlier question which was clearly answered in your original post. As far as the magazine you have, I'm guessing it was designed to perform that way. If that is unacceptable for you, maybe you could replace the follower with a different design to give you another 8 + 1 magazine?

Will it lock in when the slide is locked back?

Good choice. You will become bored by its simplicity and reliability. I suggest you shoot the living crud out of it. Clean it, and then take it for granted. Enjoy, Safe Shooting!

I already have a dozen AR mags and plan on building a CMP/varmint/sniper/target AR this summer. However I may just blow my refund on a quality bolt action 223. The converter from Magnolia State Armory is $125. The price is right considering how cheap and available P-Mags are. Kinda looks like I missed the boat on most of the 223 AK/Galil mags from overseas.

Before I order some Arsenal Bulgarian Circle 10 waffle magazines off of the internets I would like to know what my fellow TGO'ers think about all of the various options. Pro-Mag, Tapco, Galil Orlite, Galil Steel (South African & IMI) 35 & 50 rounders, Yugo, Weiger, Surefire, Bulgarian Circle 10's, and factory Saiga. Anyone "converted" AK74 mags to 223? Also let me know if you have experience with any of the AR mag converters. My bullet guide is removable so I can still use factory types for now. I have 2 steel surplus Galil that were skillfully reworked by the former owner. 2 factory 10 rounders. 2 used Surefire 30 rounders. So far no malfunctions. Thanks for your input. Kevin
