  1. Nice looking pistols. Never seen that model Springfield. I am curious if your wife has any difficulty racking her slide. Thanks for letting us see your new toys:)
  2. Have considered turning one of my .223(5.56) Saigas into a bullpup, BUT the available stocks looked clunky and expensive. Have an AR in the stable now, but only one STANAG converter, my ugliest Saiga would have sweat beads forming if it could read my mind... Thanks for posting, I know from reading your build posts how excited Paletiger is:)
  3. Nice pistol. Bought a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec a couple years ago, impulse buy, good price, from a customer who's business was closing. So excited until I noticed a very faint FI Brazil on the dustcover. I have Glocks and Russian AKs. But a 1911 has to be Made In America for me to keep it. Range report please. I'd also like to see how the finish holds up. Not so well on a parkerized Springfield.

Reposted that on my Facebook. Nice:)
  5. Really like my Kahr CW9, been eyeballing a CM9... Want to see a few more positive reports from TGO(hint, hint) before I commit.
  6. Sweet P220. I've only shot one that belonged to someone else. Every first shot(DA) hit the bullseye. The rest were close, but I still can't believe I watched him trade it in for a HKUSP Expert. Which I hated. Enjoy your 45, thanks for posting.
  7. I can only wonder why Colt is playing catchup.... to Sig. In America:)
  8. It's nice reading all the different opinions, all from "ordinary" non-influenced shooters. I've never met a 22 I didn't like, but am considering a new one. Thanks for the thread, Kevin
  9. I would've thought a bolt action rifle chambered in 45ACP would be a waste, until I shot yours:) Had to scare of some dogs(coyotes) from my gorgeous ladie's place the other night. Her German Shepherd is in heat for the first time, and my next investment will be some amplified hearing muffs. Further down the road I'll be asking you guys for advice on an ear friendly bolt action. I've imagined a Yugo SKS with the gas cutoff/grenade launcher, but after reading this it looks like a bolt action would be more practical. Always enjoy reading Dolomite_Supafly's posts.
  10. No pictures??? I think you guys are making up stories. Internet=Pictures. Oherwise I'll go back to my HAM radios;)
  11. Beretta makes a tip up barrel Model 86. It is a blowback 380. I haven't shot an 86, but have shot the non tip up barrel Model 85. Recoil feels about the same as my Glock 19 9mm. Ambidextrous safety. 8+1 capacity. Not ideal but seems one handed friendly.
  12. Misread first time around and thought it was 3 FTF from one AK. Maybe the importer will send you some freebies for figuring out their goofup.
  13. The only AK's I have on hand are converted 223 Saigas. Somebody shot the crud out of my first one;) but it still runs like a champ but only with surefire or factory mags with built in feed ramp. My second has a small piece quarterpipe which acts as a bullet guide. I'm curious if Bulgarian AKs have a bullet guide built in. Also curious which AK was having problems.
  14. Looks good, how's it shoot? I'm particularly curious about slug/magnumOO loads... My plain jane 500 hurts my scrawny shoulder.
  15. The pistol looks sweet, any reason why you held out for the full length rail?
  16. You know what they say about guys with big hands.... They shoot big guns:) Sweet Pistol, I drooled over a gun mag featuring the Mark23 until it turned to shreds, Congrats on your purchase. A former acquaintance had a H&K Tactical Model, I enjoyed shooting it 2 handed, but one handed was a lesson in humility. It's practically a sin to not have a matching suppressor;)
  17. Howz she shoot? And more details please, I thought the Swedes only shot Sigs:)
  18. If I would still have a Glock9mm left for every abled body member of my household after trading then yes, but as it stands, I'd just keep drooling over pictures of other peoples high dollar 1911's.
  19. I have a Glock Factory(expensive) "+2" G26 magazine for my gen2.5 G26. I shoot twice as well with it, but I've shot a G19 for 16 years... The extra pinky finger probably helps more with my trigger pull, than with actual recoil. All I know is I almost cried when I first shot my G26 and missed the 4" ShootNC target. Actual mileage may vary;)
  20. "2 in the chest, 1 in the head" = stopping power:)Thanks for the good read!
  21. Congratulations, took me about five years & 2,000 rounds before I learned a proper grip. Thankfully ammo was really cheap in the early 90's. You didn't ask but that won't stop me from throwing advice out anyways. Don't shoot any other pistols. Safely practice dry-firing Safely every day Safely. After proper grip and a few thousand SafeDryFires you will outshoot almost anyone. Unfortunately I've branched out into other pistols and my SafelyDryFiring sessions are few and far in between. Have Fun, Kevin
  22. And it has the rail? You didn't get them to throw in a laser/light?? Or there just wasn't any room left in the clamshell case??? Or did you pay with a $500 bill????
  23. Wow, that's the coolest 22/45 I've ever seen. Let us see how she compares to Ol'Fauthful at the range:)
  24. Thanks for your review. My CW9, AKA the American Made improvement of an Austrian idea, has really grown on me. It's been to cold when I've shot this winter, looking forward to warm weather magazine loading. I see a CM9 in my crystal ball;) keep up the torture test.
  25. Because. Fun to shoot. Easy and unintimidating to shoot, and shoot well. Mine is Tacticool, and every child between 9&13 that has seen it, begged to shoot it. With my Eotech on top, it is more interesting than any videogame, cell phone, computer or TV. Plus I have more "defense" ammo than "practice" ammo in every caliber BUT 22LR. And when I need to, I can shell out $20 for 500 rounds of fun.
