  1. Yours would not be the first. They have a huge lot.
  2. Very cool. Nice work.
  3. They are both nice places. I have shot at both and like Royal Range better. To me it seems to have a better atmosphere than the Armory. Plus RR has a 70 yard rifle range which comes in handy.
  4. That sounds really interesting.
  5. It was going to be for a hunting rifle. After seeing what I would have to invest for a good can I decided it was not worth it for something I was only going to shoot a couple times a year. Decided to just put that money towards another gun.
  6. That wood is gorgeous. Congrats!
  7. Prayers
  8. Federal Premium usually run 1.5-1.75 per round. I hope these will be priced similar. I will buy several boxes at that price. I bet they are closer to $40-45 bucks a box. The Federal Premium have really good ballistics and these above are still beating them by approx 5% in ft/s and 10% in energy. I look forward to trying them out.
  9. If the ballistics they put out are accurate then I am guessing that this will be expensive ammo. Those numbers are far superior to Reminington Core Lokt. At 300 yards the Sierra is over 500 ft/s faster and carrying 50% more energy.
  10. That .308 load looks interesting.
  11. Why not?
  12. I know what you mean. On their .350 legend page it say more energy than a .30-30 but on their .30-30 page it shows the opposite. They didn't say more energy than ALL .30-30's so I guess it is technically correct. That's marketing fo you.
  13. I believe so. It like what Capbyrd said. I know there are a couple of people at that Publix who were wondering why people needed to carry a gun if they are going to be irresponsible like that. For people who are not leaning one way or the other in the gun control debate, things like this leaves a bad impression.
  14. The first place I found was on gun data.org. I then checked on Winchesters own sight. It shows the same. That there .30-30 is sightly better. I also checked Hornady. Their .30-30 was slightly worse than the .350 legend. Here are the links: http://gundata.org/blog/post/30-30-ballistics-chart/ https://winchester.com/Products/Ammunition/Rifle/Deer-Season-XP/X3030DS
  15. I know it can be used in a ar15 but the ballistics are slightly worse than a .30-30. A little slower, a little less energy and a little more drop. It does have more energy than .300 bo but it also drops more. It might find a niche where it is popular but I do not see it being a huge success. Hopefully I am wrong but I guess we will have to wait and see.
  16. Hope this was not one of our members. So I stop by the Publix on Hwy 100 in Bellevue and the police are there filling out some paperwork. I casually mill around and eavesdrop on what is going on. Turns out that some guy left a gun in the sink in the handicap stall in the bathroom. One of the workers found it and turned it in to management who called the police. I am guessing the dude upholstered when he sat down to do his business and just forgot it. Not sure how you forget your gun. Makes all hip holders look bad when one of us does something like this. I am just glad a kid didn't find it. So just remember, if nature calls when you are out in public, DO NOT FORGET YOUR GUN!
  17. It will be interesting to see the ballistics on this round. Not sure where this will fit in. Guess we will have to wait and see.
  18. Those are great pics
  19. Start taking pics and get descriptions and post here. I am sure people here will be able to help you.
  20. Kinda cool but looks like it would be hard to deploy very fast if you need it.
  21. That is really cool. Hope you get a better pic of him.
  22. Not sure. Have not held a 26. The grips are a lot thinner than the 19
  23. I was very skeptical when they announced this. With the dimensions they were reporting It just did not seem like a big difference from the 19. Boy was i wrong. I went over to Royal Range and fondled a 48, 43X and a 19. The 43X and the 48 have to be the best feeling glocks I have ever held. The difference between the 48 and 19 were night and day. I can see myself carrying a 43X or 48 because of the grip. The 43X is really compact and closer to what I normally carry but the longer sight radius on the 48 is really nice. I also held a Sig P365 to compare. It also felt really good in the hand but the grip is to short for my liking. The rest of the gun felt really solid. The 43X and 48 are the first Glocks I have actually been excited about.
  24. They ask if you keep guns in your car or truck. The survey results would make a great shopping list for someone looking to steal a gun.
