I sent out a text today reminding people about D-Day and of of my buddies who is in the military didn't even know when it was. It hurts my heart that a lot of my generation doesn't know or doesn't care about how much those men gave so we can be free. God Bless those men and all military Vets.

It looks like yall had a good trip out. A nice bunch of reef donkeys (AJ's). The little chicken Mahi eat very well too. If you find a weedline you can catch chicken Mahi all day long. OS, I dont know if I believe that the Gulf is as fished out as the FMC and NMFS tries to get people to believe. The captains that I know say that snapper are everywhere. This years snapper season is the shortest in history at 48 days. They say that the quotas are going to be more but we are going to shorten the season because the average snapper size is bigger. This is hurting the charter business in a bad way. Between this and the oil spill a lot of them won't make it.

I have no problem with what he did. I am of the opinion that he helped those people leave the physical world in a comfortable way. It was also in a way that was less traumatic to their family. I think it is better that way than for their family to find them with their brains blown all over the bathroom, or all over the front of a train as some have suggested.

I think that most people don't have a problem with the music the new people are playing, but they have a problem with it being called country. I listen to everything from Bob Marley to Flatt and Scruggs. So I like some of the new and some of the old. I say listen to what you like and forget what they call it.

I hear the same thing ever year before I go to SHOT Show and every year they never make one. I remember a member here on TGO went to take a class down and Glock and he was assured that that year was going to be the year. He came on here talking about it and how it was a sure thing. Guess what? Never happened. You would think that if they wanted to make one, they would have already done it.

Just like dlm said, I was told that Dan gave $2500 for the three guns. I knew it was the 1903 with the Pederson's device and a M1 Carbine, but didn't know the other gun. I was told that Dan wanted $50k for it but that was a few months ago.

My buddy was there the day that dealer bought it. A old man just walked in off the street and he was lucky enough to be the first person to spot it and know what it was. He has had it for 6-7 months. He had it up at Knob Creek trying to sell it.

How long have they been sitting? As Bearman said, drain all the old gas. Ethanol is hell on outboards. And if you are going to run the boat this year, I would only put non-ethanol in it. There could be tons of stuff you need to check depending on how long they have been sitting there.

I think Badger makes the best base and rings in the business. They are high, but worth it. Have you thought about changing the stock out? That is really the only thing I don't care for about the SPS Tac. from the factory.

They are great guns. What kind of glass are you going to put on it? Bases and rings?

I fish the Obey River below Dale Hollow. You need to check and see when they are going to generate before you go, because the water comes up so fast. There is a trout hatchery up at Dale Hollow and they stock some streams around there with rainbow and browns, so you can always wet a fly there if the river is high. I have never used my fly rod in saltwater. I want to catch a bonefish or Jack Crevalle so bad, I just havent been able to get far enough south yet. One day...
