Obama is no friend of mine. And I don't have my head in the sand about his politics. But there are SO MANY other things he has done that deserve complaints. For me, this isn't one of them.

I'm beginning to think some of you go through life just looking for things to bitch about. I would hate to live that way.

Really? Give me a break. I really have to problem with the picture. We have much bigger things to worry about than that...

I go to the Sheriff's office and they print me for free. I just bring my fingerprint cards with me and they will do as many as I want. You can get the fingerprint cards from ATF for free too. So I go get printed and then drop my paperwork off with the Sheriff and come pick it up the next day. No big deal, no cost, no hassle. That being said I should have set up a trust when I bought/made my first NFA toy. But I wanted it as fast and cheap as possible, which is pretty common for a 21 year old, and I didn't take the time to have one set up. And I have just done the sign offs ever since. I am going to have one set up soon so I don't end up like dlm and have too many toys to be able to afford to transfer them to a trust.

Amazing words. You are the first person I "know" that has first hand experience of being there. Many thanks for sharing with us.

Where were you on the morning of September 11, 2001?

God I remember it like it was yesterday. I was a freshman in high school. I was sitting in a auto shop class when the teacher came in the room and turned the tv on. The first plane had already hit. Since my Dad is a private pilot I had heard him talk about always putting the saftey of the public before yourself if you had a problem in flight. So I just couldn't wrap my mind around how this could have happend. Then another student in the class said, "man, that plane is flying close to the buildings". That's when the second plane hit. My second class was a math class out in a portable. It had no tv in it. Of course we were all talking about what had happend. The teacher came in and told us all to shut up so we could listen to it on the radio. I don't think there were ten words spoke for the rest class. The rest of the day the whole school was glued to the tv. Some of the teachers were walking around with tears streaming down their faces. An older teacher named Coach Lemley, was angry. He told us that this was the most important event that had ever happened in our lives and to pay attention and remember it. My Great Gandmother passed away unexpectedly the next day so it made it all even more sad. I know that every channel on tv for the next 5-7 days was nothing but news coverage. It was surreal, I had never seen the media do anything like that. -
Ask your son when he thinks you should do. Because the kids are going to know that it was you that got them in trouble, and are probably going to take it out on your boy.

Sorry to hear of your loss. RIP.

Good first weekend of college football. I was at the UT game so I didn't get to see the two big games of LSU/Oregon and BS/UGA. For you guys that watched the LSU/Oregon game, is LSU that good was Oregon just over ranked? The Notre Dame games score is really misleading. I think ND had over 500 yards compaired to the other teams 250 something. It seems like that last few years that ND has kinda played up or down to their opponent. I know this well because UT does it all the time. I'm not a ND fan by any means, but that was just my observations from yesterdays game. It rained like hell for about 1.5 hours at the UT game. We walked up to the concourse and watched it rain in the dry. Lots of people got soaked to the bone though. Next week is big for South Carolina and UGA. Can't wait for it.

This gunsmith buddy of mine was telling me the other day about them. He said they were good to go, and I trust his opinion. He is the man when it comes to custom rifle builds.
-
All I know is they are built like tanks and Hi Point stands behind their warranty. I know a guy who has the .45 carbine and let his buddy shoot it, well the buddy put a .40 round in the mag. It shot the .40 but the case went down the barrel and got stuck, he didnt know this had happened and stacked 5 more .45 bullets behind the stuck case in the barrel. The barrel buldged a little but didnt blow up. Hi Point was contacted and they said send it back and they would take care of it no matter what it was. He had a new rifle in about a week and a half.

I'm glad they got rid of him. Dooley said in his press release about it that no one was bigger than the team and they didn't need that kind of stuff going on. Only 3 days until kick off.

Put me in line. I would like to carry it for a couple of days.

I had this discussion the other day with a family member. To me it is a tool. Just like a flashlight, knife, or a gun. It has more uses that any of those other tools, but it is still a tool to make your life easier. If I want to see if it storming at my house when I am out of town? In less than 30 seconds I can see the radar at my house. Need to know how much money I have in the bank if I find a great deal on a gun, bam look at my checking acount and see to the penny what I have. Breaking news comes across my phone. And I just like the feeling of my family or friends being able to get ahold of me if they need me. And me being able to do the same if I need to. Could I live without it? Sure. Would I want too? Not really.

He was kicked off the team this week for a supposed failed drug test.

Did you notice that she got her teeth fixed for the second season? It also looks like she has had a few "enhancements" too. I don't care for the show because of all the drama that is added. It is the same formula for all discovery reality shows. First have a one week deadline to finish the project, add some fighting/bickering/romance, a problem pops up during the build, they some how make the deadline and the customer loves it. American Chopper was the same exact thing.

From what I have read, Jefferson and Lee battled all through Spring practice and camp for the starting job. I don't think LSU will be much worse without Jefferson. He is like Jansen Jackson was at UT, a big distraction to the team. Coach Dooley got rid of Jackson, I suspect the same will happen to Jefferson at LSU. I'm ready for some football though. It can't get here quick enough. I've already got my tickets for UT.

Nice eye. My buddy that works up there gave me a few of the dragon breaks when they first came out. I think it looks cool and it was what was laying around when the upper was built. I don't know how well it works as a muzzle break. -
A M1 is cool any day of the week.

Not the 7.5". It was built to be a "flame thrower" range toy. It will wear a flash enhancer most of its life. I have a 10.3" MK18 "mod 1" clone that is going to wear a KAC NT4. -
The one I played with ran great. But it's not worth $300 to me. I think they are way out of line price-wise for what you get. But if you're the only game in town you can charge whatever you want.

I know nothing about pipes, but that is a beautiful piece of work.
