  1.   I already have several Berettas that say, "Made in Italy" & "Made in Accokeek, MD" on the slides. One that says "Made in TN" would be a nice addition to the collection.
  2.   I think you forget all the other models Beretta makes. They also produce full size & compact pistols in .40 s&w, .357 sig, & .45 acp. Beretta also shortly produced one of the best quality 1911 style pistols money can buy called the "Steel 1". It's not a true 1911 clone, as it has Beretta's open slide design. Beretta has already stated that they will never produce a 1911 clone. I'd call it an improved 1911. It's all steel construction instead of Beretta's usual alloy frame, SAO trigger w/frame mounted safety, were hand fitted, & available in 9mm & .40 s&w. There was talk recently about Beretta bringing back some discontinued designs. Hopefully this will be the chance. Most people are only familiar with the 92/M9, but Beretta has produced some other really great pistols over the years. I think that the military contract along with the millions of 92 model pistols that have been produced over the years has taken up most of the slack & Beretta has slowed production of newer inovative designs. I would love to see Beretta bring back the Brigadier Elite, Elite II, Steel 1, & the Combat.
  3. I don't know if you heard, but there have been talks about Beretta considering bringing back the Elite line & really I hope they do. I need an Elite II to go with my twins.
  4. Have you seen my member name? I can't be sure, but I think I might have a bit of a Beretta addiction. Last year I traded one of them for a SIG P220 with another TGO member so I'm down to seven right now. The Cougars are my favorite models to shoot & IMO have the best ergonomics, but I can't pass up a sexy 92/96 model. Beretta 8045 F Cougar Beretta 8040 D Cougar Beretta 8045 Mini Cougar Beretta 92FS Inox The Twins ... Beretta 92G Elite & 96G Elite Beretta 90-Two
  5. Anybody ever tried these shotgun slugs out?   http://ddupleks.com/index.php/en/1270-cal/hexolit-32.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxEPUnZHr5M

  8.   You can also click & drag him through some pretty tight spots or shake the blazes out of him. It's amazing the abuse this little @#$% can take. :bat:
  9. It's interactive, clickable, & shows our Blunder in Chief falling almost as fast as his latest approval ratings. A bunch of us have been having fun relieving some of our stress with it. Have fun... http://media.y8.com/system/contents/13365/original/Falling_Obama.swf
  10.   +1. A good example was about a month ago when Zimmerman was back in the news & one media source said he had an "arsenal" of over 100 (yes, one hundred) .22 lr shells. :surrender:
  11. What do you guys use for seasoning? I've used Crisco, plain non-stick cooking spray (which actually seems to work best), & meat fat/oil, but I find myself having to reseason a couple of my pans every few uses. It's the same pans each time too. Any suggestions of what I can use or do to get that beautiful black finish to stay put better? Thanks & really enjoying the thread.
  12.   Same here. I see both sides, but I'm more nervous about some of the bad drivers on the road than I am about people carrying. I'm more likely to get run over by a douche bag texting or drinking & driving than getting shot.
  13.   As stated above, TN has no gun registry. Whe I took my HCP course we were never asked what type of pistol we were using or the serial number so there's no record of what pistol I used to qualify with. If a carry course were to ask me to list my handgun & serial number I think I would find a different class. In TN your handgun is considered private property & you're not required to give out that information.
  14. I don't believe it will change anything. It may hold things up for a little while, but Obama will dance around it & probably try to ban religion. He's already well on his way to abolishing Christianity in the U.S. I've never thought I'd live to see such a crooked POS president get by with what he has. United States is becoming a socialist country as we speak.
  15. I bet these blaspheming idiots even used Skittles & Arizona tea for the Last Supper. What a bunch of morons!
  16. The good news is there's no ammo shortage where I live becuase people simply can't afford to buy it all up anymore. There's plenty of .22lr, 9mm, .45 or whatever else you want. The bad news is, I live way out in BFE & Knoxville's a fairly long drive. What's going on at the gun shows nowadays gun wise? I'm not driving 150+ miles round trip just for an ammo show. I used to enjoy looking for deals or trades on pistols & rifles & accessories like parts & ammo cans etc..., but I haven't been to a show in almost a year. Does anyone buy/sell/trade on guns at gun shows anymore? I'm hoping things will sttle back to normal (or at least semi normal) so this can be a fun hobby again.
  17. Walmart.com has Flambeau pistol cases for $5 shipped (marked down from $15) so I bought a few to give out. These are the same cases SIG uses for their P series. My dad & brother will each have a pistol case & a few boxes of ammo waiting for them under the tree when they visit.   http://www.walmart.com/msharbor/ip/Flambeau-Outdoors-1411-14-Pistol-Case/23578632?wmlspartner=VCSYInvXQp8&sourceid=08215874150683696657&oid=223073.1&affillinktype=10&veh=aff
  18. Question about two of my 8" Lodge skillets. I don't know their ages & they look identical except one is much thicker & heavier than the other. Does that mean one is a lot older or were they simply offered in different weights from Lodge?
  19. All I cook on is cast iron at home. I have several in various brands & sizes including a Griswold & Wagner that are both 70+ years old we still cook with every day. Last year I picked up some Lodge skillets at the Great Smokies Flea market to give to my local Boy Scout troop.
  20. I'm going to have to give Devil's Cut a try next along with a couple others. I picked up some Four Roses single barrel a few weeks ago & honestly hated my first taste of it. It was like a mouth full of charcoal & to be honest it reminded me too much of scotch....& I don't like scotch. Not wanting to give up I've tried it again each weekend for the past month & with just over half the bottle left it seems to have mellowed out a lot (or I've started to aquire a taste for it).
  21. Ouch! That hurts just hearing about it. The only ways a gun ever leaves my house is in a holster or a protective case.
  22.   I hear you. It's 150 mile round trip for me. I'd love to go, but from what I've been hearing from others over the past year most guys are only looking for AR's (& parts) & ammo. Nothing against them, but I'm just not into ARs & I miss going to shows & actually being able to browse, buy/sell/trade pistols & hunting rifles. My dad & I both have pistols we'd like to do some trading on, but it doesn't sound like it's going to be worth the drive & expense this time. Maybe next time.
  23.   True. People that don't think this could eventually happen all over the country are kidding themselves. People didn't think there could be bans on mag capacities, but that's spreading like wildfire along with what the govt. likes to refer to as "assault" rifles. Remember that with enough support laws can be changed & it looks like even our Constitution will eventually be abolished along with our amendments. Also keep in mind that another man named Hitler didn't just take over...he was elected & later took advantage of those people & became the monster. It's been happening here in America piece by piece & I don't see it stopping anytime soon.
