  1. My best recommendation is to shoot both and pick the one you're most comfortable/accurate with.    How do you intend to carry it and how concerned are you with concealment?  The TCP is clearly a pocket pistol and nearly invisible.... you can buy a phone that's bigger.  The 709 can be a pocket pistol, if you've got big pockets.  Since the 709 is considerably larger, it's likely to be much easier/fun to shoot.         I've found .380 easier to come by than 9mm.  YMMV.
  2. Sissy Hopson did a great job for us... https://m.facebook.com/SissyHopsonRealtor?id=275663619204713&refsrc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FSissyHopsonRealtor
  3. Strange. Looked like she had a retractable leash attached directly to one dog with a simple nylon leash on the other one. I'd like to know what the leash got hung on. Doesn't seem like just the door closing would clamp tight enough to do that? Also didn't look like she saved the dog, looked more like the elevator reached its destination and the doors opened.
  4. How wide is blade at the pivot? Looks pretty beefy. Pocket clip?
  5. My PT145 has been great. I think I've had it for about 10 yrs and carry it fairly regularly.
  6. Give some thought to what you'd do if you ever have to replace that carpet.
  7. While detect a hint of sarcasm... that's really not too far off. Flooding, yes depending on where you live. Doesn't happen often but flash floods are always possible. Meth is everywhere unfortunately. All that said, it's a beautiful area. We lived there for several years and would go back.
  8.    I did indeed.  I even "liked" it.  I guess I'm just slow or stubborn or something.  Regardless....   :surrender:
  9.     Agreed.  Seems to me that increasing the reciprocating mass in a light weight gun would tend to make for more felt recoil, if anything.   And what KKing said too... if the buffer is slamming into the stop and that's the jolt the shooter is feeling, the gas system needs some attention.
  10.     So given all that proficiency, diligence, superior performance, and redundancy and such... You think Boeing would intentionally hide not only the fact that said fictitious tracking device exists from the owner of the aircraft, but also that they receive data from it unbeknownst to anyone?   Lying to customers all over the world who paying you upwards of $300 million for an airplane is due dilligence?  Hiding the tracking device so well that the aircraft owner will never find it is superior performance?  Ever seen an airplane go through a d-check?
  11. That sucks sweaty monkey balls.  Any idea what she wants for it?
  12. So how long have you worked for Boeing?
  13. I like this guy's style...      http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/outposts/post/neighborhood-watch-sign-is-a-guided-missile-launcher-sure-to-give-robbers-pause/
  14. It's an AR, it barely kicks at all.   If the buffer is slamming into the stop, you likely have an over-gassed rifle.
  15. If people were half as interested in their child's education as they are in the minutia surrounding a football team at a university they didn't attend, the world would be a much better place.    Related:  http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/03/whistleblower-says-this-148-word-paper-earned-a-unc-athlete-an-a-minus/
  16.     Except that the only one getting the revenue is the manufacturer of the camera.  I believe they get the lion's share of money.
  17.       Yes.         Technically no it's not Boeing, its Rolls Royce.    Boeing makes the airframe, Rolls Royce made the engines.  Typically, Boeing sells the airframe to some holding company that then leases the airframe to the airline.  Then either the airline or the holding company leases the engines from the manufacturer (Rolls Royce in this case).   The engine data is transmitted back to Rolls Royce, Boeing likely never sees it.  And as has been stated several times previously, that data is only engine operating parameters.  It contains no information related to the aircraft's location.  I presume triangulating the source of the transmission would be possible, but only if the transmission was received by more than one receiver and that's not likely in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
  18. Hey, it doesn't say "no thumbs"....   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Dka54jH9po
  19. Ding! It really, REALLY hurts if you fall on a gun. I slipped and fell on a spot of ice once while carrying SOB. I didn't land squarely on the gun, but it was enough. Just a really nasty bruise but it hurt for weeks. I do not recommend SOB carry for any reason. I've also fallen off the motorcycle a time or two. While they were relatively minor and good gear saved my hide, Having something hard right next to my body would've made things a lot worse. I empty my pockets when I ride.
  20. ... and there aren't hundreds of nuclear power plants simultaneously flying all over the world at 500 mph.
  21. Good riddance....    :hiding:
  22. Reactive targets of any sort....  water balloons, flour balloons, steel targets (dueling tree?), clay birds, jugs full of water with a little food coloring, ...  everybody likes blowing stuff up.    And finish off the day with some tannerite, but don't tell them.  Make up some sort of contest and the winner gets first shot at a "special" target.
  23. I don't carry often on the bike.  I can't run the gun effectively while wearing my riding gloves and it takes far too long to take them off.  Accessing the gun underneath the gear isn't real easy either.
  24.     That's the type of snow we get here.  Wet, sloppy, and the wind just cuts right through you.    If you go to a place where it gets cold and stays cold, the snow isn't so bad.  It's much drier.  I've had colleagues from Winnipeg visit here in the winter and comment on how cold the wind is here.  25 deg here feels as cold or colder than -25 deg there.
  25. Rabbit season! Duck season! Rabbit season! Yes, I sit and watch Looney Tunes with my kids. :) And it just occurred to me.... I will be able to carry around this knife that Dad made for me a while back. :woohoo:
