It's way cheaper to just send mine off to be milled. One of the options is a set back cut that deletes the rear sight and pushes the RDS to the rear of the slide. I'm not sure I'd like that, but if anyone has a convincing argument for it, I'd sincerely appreciate hearing it. Would you consider the set back cut or stick with the standard cut? However, I like being able to pocket carry my P365 in certain circumstances. Once I put an RDS on my milled slide, I won't be taking it off just because I wanna stuff it in a pocket holster. If I buy a pre-cut slide, I could quickly/easily swap slides. I'm not sure that convenience is worth the price. What would you do? I like to know who I'm working with when possible, so I strongly prefer to drop it off at a shop to have the work done and then pick it back up. Anyone have any advice on face-to-face vs mailing off a slide?

Same here. The tongue weight limit of my Jeep is 350# though, so I try not to go too heavy, especially on the end.

WOW! I've never seen the whole headstamp blow off cleanly like that from inside the rim. Quite impressive. I'm glad your gun wasn't damaged.

I wear glasses, so I find a drop-down sun screen is a minimal requirement for helmets for me. When you go shopping, try on a Scorpion, if you can find one. It's the comfiest moderately priced brand I've tried. HJC makes good helmets in that price range too but my noggin isn't round, so they don't fit. Have you tried one of these clip on visors? They can sometimes be just the little extra height you need to send the wind over your head and is quite a bit cheaper than a tall screen.

That is one gorgeous looking bike!!!! I love that color.

Do you see a ridge around the base of the brass? This could indicated the ammo was fired one or more times out of handgun with an unsupported chamber (most famously in gen 3 or earlier Glocks). The brass is reshaped (stretched) in stage 1 or the reloading process, which makes this area weak. If that brass was reloaded and fired out of the same gun with an unsupported chamber you increase the chance of a blowout. This might also be noticeable by a case that is slightly longer than the others. When I bring home range brass, my first step is to toss out the ones with that Glock bulge just in case. I'd bet even a small company wouldn't take time to do that. I do use a fast powder (Bullseye mostly). So, I would also quit reloading if I couldn't control the powder charge any better than a 4.5 - 5.2 gr range. That's a 15% range of inconsistency, which is a lot IMHO.

@pop pop I couldn't agree with you more, sir. That's how it is with camping. I'm too old for hammock camping or pitching a tent, but pulling a teardrop or travel trailer is perfect for me. I have a cousin who sold her house in FL and sunk all their savings into a Class A with all the bells and whistles and although that's too much for me, she's happy.

My wife was enthusiastic about camping with me and our grandson. We did one night in a local state park and a week at Fall Creek Falls. She hasn't gone since. This made me grateful that I settled for a small squaredrop camper instead of something bigger, because now it's just me and my grandson and we have plenty of room (queen bed).

Welcome to TN and to the forum. Glad to have ya.

If I'd had a cell phone when I was growing up I would have missed out on valuable label information like: almost every shampoo contains something called sodium lauryl sulfate, but my HS Chemistry teacher didn't even know what it was you shouldn't swallow toothpaste...and I've been tempted a few times benzalkonium chloride is the active ingredient in Lysol spray, but I still can't pronounce the first word

My EPS only has a dot and I wish I had a circle+dot for faster follow-up shots.

Are you looking for a travel trailer with kitchen/bath? Would a teardrop/squaredrop camper just to sleep in be too small for your family?

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service.

My first pocket/backup gun was a Kel-Tec P-32. I still have it and love it. GLWS.

If it's an art museum, I might be on the kids' side here, LOL.

I took my P-09 C back out today after a more thorough clean/lube and shot up a fortune in mixed ammo. I took some Federal AE 124 gr, Blazer brass 124 gr, Blazer aluminum 115 gr, various reloads, and more of the Monarch brass 124 gr that I had issues with last time. I shot everything but the Monarch first and noticed the slide still locks back with one round left in the mag on 2 of my 5 mags consistently. One other mag did it once, but that was all. So, I feel like I shot enough ammo to trust the gun, but those 2 mags are suspect. As far as accuracy goes, I couldn't be happier. Without much effort I got decent groups with all kinds of ammo. Unlike some of the other P-09 C owners here, I don't mind the factory sights. I mostly used the red dot, but I'm still not fast enough with it for quick follow-up shots. The splatter target is a mix of red dot and iron sights. I could tell I need more red dot practice because my shots spread quite a bit more when I didn't use the iron sights. Just to be sure, I ended the day shooting the Monarch ammo and immediately had all kinds of issue with my 3 "good" mags. I had one double feed, a dozen light primer strikes, one failure to extract, and 3 failures to feed. The light primer strikes were so frustrating I could barely shoot 2 rounds in a row without dropping the hammer 2 or more times. I've reloaded with hard primer cups before, like Wolf and CCI, but they were never a problem with factory hammer springs, they only failed to ignite with the extra soft springs in my Shadow and heavily modified SP-01. This is just terrible ammo. I think the feeding/extracting issues were related to underpowered rounds. I could definitely feel the difference in recoil on the rounds that failed to cycle. I still want to have one more trip to the range without the Monarch ammo and to run at least a couple of mags of SD ammo through it. I have a lot more confidence in this gun than I did after the first range trip. Unless something goes horribly wrong on the next trip in 2 weeks, I'll have about 500 rds through it by then and I hope to be switching to the P-09 C soon as my carry gun.

I just mentally filed that image away in case I ever need it.

Anyone know how to get Dr. Pepper out of a keyboard, I just sprayed it everywhere when I saw this one.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Olight mini being on sale. Those will make good gifts.

I think Victorinox is running out of names. My new favorite keychain model is this one. They just call it the Nail Clip 580...not a very clever name, but it's one of the best nail clips I've tried. I carry it everywhere with that little Olight, like @DAdams has.
