  1. Wow, that dude is deranged.
  2. Congrats to you and to them. TTU is a fine school. I went there in 1988. What did your boys major in?
  3. I have literally taken pics of holsters at gun shows with the seller's card for the sole purpose of going home and copying the idea (for my own use, not to sell). I feel like that may even be worse than just kicking the tires.
  4. I gave my wife a choice of 6 pistols to choose from for her first carry gun. I did this so she didn't wind up choosing a bad gun because it was cute, LOL. Well, she picked out a two-tone Bersa Thunder .380 and I was so proud of her. It's a great gun and has been very reliable. Sadly, she never got her HCP, so it just sits in the safe in a cute pink gun case.
  5. That looks like a CZ 75 Compact clone. How's the trigger? All my CZs except my Shadow had gritty triggers to start, but nothing 200-300 rounds didn't cure. I'm only just getting into red dots too. I have a CZ P-09 C w/ a Holosun EPS. I'm struggling to get used to picking up the dot, but it's coming along. I dig it enough that I'm already planning to get my P365 slide milled for a red dot. I'm glad you like the Osight, because for the price and the fact that I've had excellent experience with their lights, I think I'll go with an Osight.
  6. It's been my experience with making holsters that @jredbryant nailed it. Gun show customers act like they're at a yard sale and seem to have no sense of what things cost.
  7. That is some REALLY good advice right there.
  8. My wife told me about a Mike Rowe movie I missed called Something To Stand For. I watched it last night. It was great. He's telling heroic stories from American history in the Paul Harvey style from "The Rest of the Story". Here's the trailer:
  9. That is one of the best shooting CZs ever made. I love mine so much I bought it twice, LOL. GLWS
  10. I'll definitely check out Wager Machining, thanks @larry1096. Did you have to strip the slide and remove the sights before sending it in?

I'm trying to instill those same loves in my grandson. Kids need more outdoors, don't they?
  12. Sign me up. Mike Rowe is a national treasure. I'll watch for sure.
  13. I have no idea why I let stuff like this bother me, bit at least it's not as bad as this:
  14. I've left my wallet at home and didn't go back, just paid with my phone. I've left my phone and didn't go back. I've only forgotten my carry pistol once and I went straight back home. LOL It really made the Mrs angry.
  15. WOW! Thanks for posting this. That's WAY too good of a price to pass up, even as a spare.
  16. I think I went to HS with that guy
  17. That GT Air is a great helmet especially if you got a deal on it. congrats
  18. looks like the link to your pic is broken Pic working now, must've been a glitch on my end
  19. That was a pretty smart table design. I appreciate your ingenuity.
  20. Praise the Lord my God, Jesus Christ
  21. You can't argue with science.
  22. It's way cheaper to just send mine off to be milled. One of the options is a set back cut that deletes the rear sight and pushes the RDS to the rear of the slide. I'm not sure I'd like that, but if anyone has a convincing argument for it, I'd sincerely appreciate hearing it. Would you consider the set back cut or stick with the standard cut? However, I like being able to pocket carry my P365 in certain circumstances. Once I put an RDS on my milled slide, I won't be taking it off just because I wanna stuff it in a pocket holster. If I buy a pre-cut slide, I could quickly/easily swap slides. I'm not sure that convenience is worth the price. What would you do? I like to know who I'm working with when possible, so I strongly prefer to drop it off at a shop to have the work done and then pick it back up. Anyone have any advice on face-to-face vs mailing off a slide?
  23. Same here. The tongue weight limit of my Jeep is 350# though, so I try not to go too heavy, especially on the end.
  24. WOW! I've never seen the whole headstamp blow off cleanly like that from inside the rim. Quite impressive. I'm glad your gun wasn't damaged.
