Maybe even state laws prohibiting the transport of open coffee cups in vehicles without TDOT tested spill guards and cup holders. You know, to protect stupid people from themselves.

My mother-in-law swears by using mothballs to deter rodents. I'm sure it works, I can't stand the smell of those darn things either.

I won't put a cold drink with a lid between my legs in a car, let alone a hot one. If you can't anticipate the possibility of a flimsy plastic lid coming loose, a bump in the road, or just unsteady hands removing a lid, not only do you need to stay away from hot beverages, you need a walking-around helmet. You're probably right, but if it got this far into the news, it may be past that point. Regardless, as consumers, we bear the cost of these frivolous lawsuits and out of court settlements. Every time someone wins these cases, a light bulb comes on in the minds of scandalous people looking for a quick buck. Many of these cases would never see the inside of a court room if we weren't one of the only western democracies that doesn't have a "loser pays" judicial system.

The exterminator tells me that rats are very skiddish of traps, so sometimes it takes days before they'll get anywhere near a trap. Mice, on the other hand, are overly curious and will investigate new things, so traps that haven't caught something in a day or 2 should be relocated. I haven't seen a rat since I was a teenager, so I can't verify this. It's just what I was told.

Check out Mr. Fancy McSpends-a-Lot splurging on magazines, LOL. Seriously though, does anyone actually make aftermarket mags for these?

I got half a case of the 9mm for $6.94/box last weekend and regretted not buying more before I even got out of the store, because they've had none left last 2 times I went in to check.

That thing is freaking beautiful, kudos.

That would be a bad way to start May, if you were here at home with your loved ones. Having to go through that alone in a foreign country is just plain horrible. Sorry to hear it, dude. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Saw a Bumper Sticker the Other Day That Really Made Me Laugh

Same thing -
I'd definitely be up for doing that again, but prefer a little more notice.

I've made a few monkey fists without a jig...not that easy. Doing 2 that are interconnected is impressive work. Kudos

I completely understand that their music may not appeal to someone's personal taste. That is very understandable and I get the same vibe when I hear Tool or Justin Bieber or One Direction or ICP. I just don't have the same knee-jerk sense of hatred that some have for Nickelback. I'm like you, I just change the channel or turn off the radio. Life's too short to waste energy hating anyone besides liberal politicians. -
There's no rule that says he's gotta be pitching instead of catching, LOL!

Any idea where the class is to be held? The map on the website points to the Preston Hotel. -

I never understood the near vitriol with which some people hate Nickelback. I think their music is catchy and fun to listen to. Admittedly, many of their songs sound alike, but I didn't hold that against AC/DC or Metallica or Pink Floyd or a slew of others, so I son't hold it against them either. If you're a hater then hate or flame on or whatever you do, though...don't mind me. :hiding: -
the pic I thought I inserted with TapaTalk, but didn't, LOL

I got this idea from a link that another TGO member (thanks NoBanStan) sent me. So, I had to try it and they turned out pretty good, IMO.

I've only had to send 2 guns back to the factory in all my years. One was the XD-s recall that I still think was a non-issue. They kept my d@mn gun for almost 3 months. The other was my S&W M&P 15-22. My extractor blew off and was lost at the range one day. S&W replaced my entire BCG and had my gun back in my hands in JUST over 2 weeks. Their customer service dept is a class act.

Does "Buy a CZ" count?

I had to run on off last year at my house. It looked like it was trying root up under my foundation. I was surprised how fast they could dig. It did a lot of damage before I was able to urge him to go wreck someone else's yard. I can't shoot one in my residential neighborhood, so next time I'm trying the machete.

scope or red dot with magnifier?
BigK replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I thought I wanted a magnifier with my Vortex red dot too until I tried it. -Without magnification it looks like covering a tennis ball sized target with a tennis ball sized dot. -With magnification it looks like covering a volleyball sized target with a volleyball sized dot. On the other hand, I don't like the idea of a scope on a HD rifle. My first choice would be holographic sight. My second choice would be a green laser and BUIS. -
Quad rail not aligning with upper receiver
BigK replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I only mentioned it because to me it looked like it might be misaligned by too much for him to be able to turn the barrel nut enough to line up the retaining screw without damaging our misaligning the gas tube. I see what you mean, though.
