2. Thanks gentlemen. I an trying to find a aluminum or stainless grip
3. This started out as a 223 Savage Striker that I purchased last fall form Dolomite. Not know to keep things as they are, I had plans for it Before I got home with it. Work Work and more work has delayed the completion a lot. But Sunday I was ably to put all the pieces together. And today took it to the range to fire form some brass. I do not have the load figured exactly but I think Im real close. Build consists of Savage Striker action in 6mmbr, Timmney Trigger, 7 Fingers stock( I cant say enough GOOD about this stock) 17.5'' Shilen Barrel, DNZ base and rings (another excellent product) So here is how it turned Load isn't complete yet but I sent some brass down range today and here is the end result at 100yrds. Still need to get a good rest and possibly a scope change Last 5 shot group
4. No one has mentioned it yet. But I love bullseye in my 9. I run 4.8gr with 124gr bullet and get real good results. That's is out of my XD, XDm and XDs. I have also run them thru a 9mm AR an have never had any problems. I do not know my FPS. But it is an Awesome combination
5. 24/7/365. Except at work. They kinda frown on caring in the Jail I work at
6. Congrats.....it's a good feeling when they Finally step over My wife hated guns prior to our dating. Shortly after getting married I talked her into learning about guns and pulling the trigger on at least all (2) of my carry guns "Just in Case" something ever happened. She agreed.........this women can Rock a S&W38. I was shocked. So Yeah she is now the handler for my model 50
7. Good Job on the blade I would vote for wood grips also, If you lived closer to Knoxville I would invite you by my shop I have about 20 different species of wood that would make a nice handle
8. Sweet looking. I have shot the same pistol and they are very accurate. My. Friend uses his for fox and yotes
9. I have one of Spots. They fit very nice in the hand and I have used mine a lot in the past week and this hawk is a tank. I split a wheel barrel load of oak kindling with it. And it didn't cost an arm and a leg ( at least not yet) LOL
10. Jordan, after you left I finished the edge stropped it and this thing will shave. Awesome Hawk Thanks
11. Nice Jordan that is probably going to be our next transaction. That could prove to be very useful when roughing out a carving
12. That's Awesome, I have several from fallen officers and even one from a canine officer.
13. Finally.....Had to get the owner to send me a pic. not the pic I would have went for but yeah well ya know
14. I have been trying to but cumputer issues are holding me up. I can text or email them but posting pics isn't working
15. Nice job. I just finished a set of tiger wood grips for one of the Deputies I work with for his BK-2. Really like the feel and balance. Looking into picking one up soon
16. Smokie Mountain Woodcarvers is an awesome place and I believe it's hawger knob. Not sure but I think that is what the sign says. A well sharpened knife that is used correctly will only need stroping to keep sharp. I'm not talking about knives that second as a hammer. I have not sharpened any of my carving knives in a while. If they feel like they are resistant on cutting the strop makes short work in putting that fine edge back in place I have an old PC of leather on a square PC of oak that my Grand Pa made many years ago. Works great
17. Thanks for all the input, we went to T-Mobil and are currently doing a trial run (2 weeks) to make sure that they work for our area. Price is awesome, we have 2 new IPhones unlimited text talk and data and we are only paying $120. Customer service was very good. We will see how the service is within the next 2 weeks. If this pans out they will be putting a hurt on Verizon. Found out the spent 40million to rent towers from Verizon and at&t.
18. We have Verison now and have had for 15 yrs. prices go up and quality goes down. Wife is wanting to check out T-Mobil. And history out there on service and coverage
19. A man owing me some money paid with about 15 gal of mixed brass, figuring this is all im ever going to see I took it home and started separating it. A lot of odd ball brass and in the bottom of the tub was 12pcs of new 45 basic brass 3 1/4 long. Never seen this before. A quick look on google  and I guess this can be used for 45/70 if cut down but could not find any reference to a firearm using 45 basic. Any Idea of what it was used in/for
20. cant believe I just sat here an hour and watched this. Very interesting, I have my Grand Paw's straight razors, afraid to use them. not much for spending time in the ER.
