Marines go on killing spree in blue on red attack
vontar replied to c.a.willard's topic in General Chat
Just glad no one had to get a purple heart out of it. -
I suspect, right before the show, they will put a tether on him and claim insurance or something. If by chance he does it with out a tether I am sure they will have a 15 second delay on the broadcast just in case. They will not risk showing a fall like that live.

Bars told to stop serving infused alcoholic drinks after 2006 law
vontar replied to Daniel's topic in General Chat
So they are against "bacon-infused martini, vodka flavored with fruit ...." The ABC is against Bacon. However, he is the key I guess "Infused bottles often don't have labels with ingredients or dates of creation and expiration. He also said federal law prohibits infusion without a distillery permit and that it can only be done at a distillery plant, not a bar." Sounds like this places are mixing it up in bottles and pouring on demand? Mixed drinks made on the bar should not be affected in my opinion. I don't drink mixed drinks, just saying there isn't anything wrong in having them for those that do. What is next, Burger King, won't be able to sell a Bacon Sundae? I bet Bloomberg has his hand in this some place. :D -
Man charged with felony for releasing balloons
vontar replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
hmm, brings back memories of grade school trips to the zoo and everyone that had a balloon was not allowed to bring it on the bus and teachers encouraged students to release them. :shake: -
However, there lays a big problem with guy by backs. You never hear them running the serial numbers and returning them to the Rightful owners if they where in the books as stolen.
-
I think someone else has to drive the bus you are thinking about.

This might be a good sign for ammo Today at the local flea market there were several venders selling various ammo. Mostly shotgun shells, Rifles. Didn't really see any pistol or ask prices. No prices on the boxes or tables told me they are probably pretty proud of it. I figure this is either people that contributed to the shortage now trying to unload or the people that keep buying out stock at the stores when it comes in. Either way, I wasn't going to ask the price. I saw others picking it up and laying it back down. Does make me one, any laws against having ammo on school property? even during a non school event like a flea market?

Maybe you are getting promoted to driver.

Perhaps that, that may not hold up in a real court under whats left of the 4th. Wonder if that has ever been tested in court. Sure they do a mandatory FFA safety check and O, we found drugs, I guess it would fall under in plain sight, even if they happened to be checking the inside of the seats at the time.

I carry bicycle playing cards in my bag because if I get lost I can start playing solitaire. Then someone will start playing over my shoulder and maybe I can ask that person for directions.

As far as Lincolns being posted, I wouldn't really call it a good post, but right before you walk in the door, turn 90 degee to the left and look at the window on the side and you will see a small gun buster. I heard they were posted and it took me a few visits to spot it.
-
I thought Wal Mart in Turkey creek sold guns. They sold ammo last time I was there. Of course out of what I wanted.
-
I second Eat at Big Eds Pizza. I would stir away from Lincolns as I have had enough bad experiences there to not go back. Funny thing, I liked it but the people the run it and the work there seem like they always wanted to run me out. Used to go there after work, howeverI don't feel welcome there and I won't let my shadow cross their floor again. In west Knox, Irish Times Pub, and if that is not your style beside it is the Smokey Mtn Brewery.

Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp
vontar replied to DaveS's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
@ TripleDigitRide I think it comes down to, did he start it. as in example, you can't start a fight and then use stand your ground defense to shoot someone. I am however trying not to follow this to closely. -
good, but I liked the Pmags one better.

Hey, the recent news about the NSA gave some credibility to some of those that where tinfoil hats. From The Daily Show "good news, you're not paranoid"

Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp
vontar replied to DaveS's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Texas as the commercial says is a whole another country. They had laws there at least at that time you could shot to protect yours or a neighbors property. That is where the No bill came in. -
In regards to the NSA. "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." In short, if you(government) want my information, have probable cause and get a warrant. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

you all are missing the big picture. Where did he get ammo? DHS supply him out of their 1.8 billion rounds? :D
-
I totally missed this show, but Had I known that I would have made a special trip to see you. I really want to fine .22's in that price range soon. If you were only closer to east TN.
-
I found some .22 ammo in Remington 525 boxes in a store for 80 early this week and in zip lock bags as well. I thought it was strange opening ammo up and repacking in zip lock bags for resell. Made me wonder in the back of my head if they are correctly applying the tax stamps on sales. I kindly passed, said the next guy can have it. Not going to contribution to the high prices like that.
