  1. There are so many taco shell IWBs, I think it is preference and experience. I think you're in line with price point, my best guess is good kydex bounces from $55 - $90 Are you specifically looking for 320 compatibility?
  2. Casualties for the great powers exceeded the number of soldiers in their standing armies in 1914.
  3. Jeff Shaara's 'To the Last Man' is a great piece of historical fiction. 116k US casualties, 63k disease, 53k combat, 12 ish months of engagement.
  4. The Great War ended and created the geo political world we live in today https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/11/on-the-11th-month-the-11th-day-at-the-11th-hour-100-years-ago-today-the-great-war-ended/ Happy Rememberance Day!
  5. Listening to Joy 620, one of the radio pastors hit on something I found helpful in terms of living with some purpose. How am investing my time, treasure and talent? From the Christian view, it should be stuff pleasing to God. How am I spending my time? During waking hours, it's probably the only thing I really own. Like most, work is required, but common to everyone I know. I believe we are created to do stuff, so binge watching Hell on Wheels (guilty) or simply existing on a couch off work hours is probably not pleasing to God, and truthfully, not particularly productive. When I feel couch like, I am now more aware and will force myself to do something. Investing your treasure biblically refers to tithing, supporting the church, and helping those who need a hand up. For believers and non believers alike, are you a good steward with your income both with saving and borrowing? If you are drawn to charitable giving, is your chairty a good steward with your investment? Remember, the dollars in your pocket and the stuff you buy tangibly represent your time investment in the work portion of your life. Is that thing worth the X number of hours you spent at work? I think this forum is a great example of investing talent. Shared experiences, best practices, encourage, enlightment, and education have been present and maintained during my tenure. It hasn't been all gun stuff!!! Opportunities will present themselves for us to share talents (gun and otherwise) out on the world of real people. May the peace and love of Jesus Christ be with all of you!
  6. Can probably do both. Anyone want to carpool to Dalton?
  7. Not personally, wife does. I have seen them sold and purchased, approved and funded on auto loans since 1994. Have one on our personal vehicle. Have seen great to yikes. The "yikes" is why Greg's honesty statement is so important! Know what you are buying, what is included, and maybe more importantly, excluded. At least I know my wife will get to use my life insurance. Most folks don't have $8,000 cash plus to buy a reliable used car. To your point, you can get approved for 10-20% of your monthly gross income for a car payment, just because you can afford and easily budget $600-$800 or more, should you? Not my place, money, or decision, I'm not buying the vehicle and I won't have make 72 perfect payments. It seems to me it's more about buying based on desires and wants vs. actual transportation needs. Want to trade at 30 months with limited trade equity and down payment, let the games begin - with approved credit you can get approved for up to 130% of MSRP so you can roll the negative into your new car. This stems from the lenders needing and wanting loan growth and consumers ignoring math for magic. Lots of great new and used vehicles with good miles for $15-$24k. New full sized trucks, SUVs and fully equipped cars are simply outrageous. And let's not forget about keeping up with the Joneses.
  8. I don't disagree with making a monthly car repair payment to yourself, but what if the repair exceeds you budget? Buying used? Do you want a fixed or variable payment? $400 when life is good, $400 + $1700 for AC? Better deal to buy a service contract for a $440 monthly payment? What's a bad deal or poor value for one is not necessarily for others, especially since life experience and perspective changes. And with the electronic components including steering and suspension, mechanical repairs are comparatively cheap
  9. Dave, a 15 with 29k adding 84 / 100k should give you turn key ownership for the months, doubt you'll hit the miles.
  10. Terry Taylor learned all he could from JM&A, kicked them out of his stores when he stated the TWS division OF AMSI. His brand is First Mile. 1fast makes an EXCELLENT point, while most brand name products are pretty good, service departments are NOT created equal!
  11. Yeah, stay away from these types of used car service contracts, mail or TV solicitation.
  12. It's a great deal for the dealer if you never use it. It's a great deal for the consumer if they do use it, moderate repairs start at $500 and even better if an electronic component fails. Kinda like insurance unless you've got the correct change to self insure. The key is buy the right terms for your driving habits. A 5 year 50k is great, but I'll be out of warranty in 2 years, so I need miles, not time.A person who drives 10k year may be better off with more time vs. miles. Buy the most comprehensive coverage available, power train / power train plus is a joke - most cars don't have drivetrain failures, its all the accessories!
  13. I am knowledgeable. Rates adjust by vehicle, mileage on the vehicle, coverage and term. 2000-3500 for a good service contract (factory like) is not unreasonable. You should be able to extend your GM or purchase a CNA (about the best non factory and private label for some mfg'ers) Service inspection, probably $150 to avoid the "pre existing" issue. I've got virtually all the franchise dealers from Athens to Trigger Cities as clients, let me know if I can refer you!
  14. Full disclosure, Randy is my friend. Because I like his teaching style and course content, I am willing to travel and pay for training. I also enjoyed the company and conversation, so while we got off schedule, I was satisfied with the instruction, corrected one problem (low right) and possibly identified the cause for problem 2 (slight right) when I got home. Some practical take aways: More dry work, 10 minutes, 2, 3 times per day. When I switched to my P224 with flush mag, it was tragic. Odd grip to adjust to, fatter front sight, shorter sight radius. After a mag or two, got mostly on target, but for serious work, I've got to have the 12 round P229 mag for a full grip. Being the slowest cat in class AND appearing even slower, having the pleasure of witnessing some Dark, Light, and dare I say, Turbo-level skill exhibited, made me think a little more tactically. Specifically, I need a little more time if I have engage, do I have other options, including, paying attention and trying to evade or escape if the situation merits? Gives me time and space, in the meantime, practice. This particular class was skill assessment with preparation through dry work and basic warm up. The timed drills were challenging and I thought pretty fun to shoot. Hope everyone made it home safe! Randy - happy early birthday!
  15. Can any one verify an episode of Consumer Probe, Candace Bergen and Irving Mainway, investigating the source of Mainway's source of milk to the NY Public Schools? The source was rat's milk and Irving went on to describe how they milked them. Saw it once, never again and now, the dangerous Halloween costume and Christmas present bits seem suppressed with the resurrection of Candace.
  16. Whoa there Tex, I still have and use my Realistic Chronomatic 230. It was a Christmas gift from my Grandparents, I was 10ish? After 40 years, do I have a valid claim in the divorce?
  17. I'm enjoying your project!
  18. And 007, leave the Beretta...
  19. Which, according to Major Boothroyd, will blow a man through a plate glass window.
  20. I am committed, hope to see some familiar faces and make some new friends
  21. In my less than learned opinion, most .380/9mm pocket guns are perfect for the 3-3-3 rule. If you are proficient drawing from the pocket or carry position, it is reliable with a good .380 round and you've spent some time practicing to actually be able to shoot it well. Depending on level of concealment, I've found it's grip height vs. thickness which increases concealability. There are time when I need the size of an LCP, in my case, it's a Kimber Micro with flush mag. Heavier than, but worth it since the few extra ounces make it a fun shooter. .380 is also a little more affordable to practice with, I've seen shelf prices 12.99-14.99/50. One line, as cheap as 9 I also have a PK380, which is bigger, not sure how it compares to your Remington, but is also a great SD/HD/range gun.
  22. Raoul, thanks for the endorsement. Mrs GtG has some issue that CBDs should / could help. Knowing someone reputable and legit has found relief with the product gives me more confidence to investigate. I am a FIRM believer in medicinal use and application for all forms or marijuana, science don't lie (much) Enjoy 9 months of terminal cancer with a loved one and see the therapuetic impact. Recreational use (get out your tin foil hats) is for tax revenues and another way for .gov to dumb down and control the masses...
  23. Thanks for the clarification! Sin occurs when one has desire and opportunity.
  24. I don't have a dog in this fight and won't put myself in a position to fight it. The question is how many able bodied shooters bought a brace to be used as designed? My guess is not many. Letter vs. spirit I know and agree legal gun owners don't do bad things with SBRs, taxed and tagged or otherwise. Adding in the double standards, supression of information, supporting docs, or evidence, I dont have a few thousand extra to pay an attorney (for federal charges!) to play a game I shouldn't have to play.
  25. Which town is most convenient?
