I've got one, base model. Prefer shooting it with the extended mag (medium sized hands) Mags are affordable. Fit and finish are top notch. Zero issues. Trigger is pretty good at mimicing a 1911 even though hinged. Kimber now offers an improved recoil spring and guide rod, I am still on the original (wire coil vs flat spring with diff rod and cheap to replace if I recall) It fits a great carry niche for me both in height and weight. I launched the safety plunger and spring, called Kimber, sent me one for free. The extras of flared and lowered ejection port, beveled mag well, slightly melted edges (on mine) are all nice features. With the flush mag it is the same height as a G26

Agree with Moped. I'm carrying a .380 right now - I have no issues with the caliber. Precision One and the new Sig Vcrown perfoms well in YouTube tests. If I was heavy into .380, I'd probably get the carbine. Great back up home defense, truck, range gun. (I think better carry options, but it'll do in a pinch) With .380 at $12/50, it's pretty darn affordable to shoot

I can arrange something out in the valley. 25 ish yards max, ground conditions are inconsistent. Brass scavenging is encouraged.

I probably need to buy this vs. upgrading my hipoint stock.

Not sure if a Grail, but when I saw one review refer to it as a hipster round, I was all in. It is nichey, just like .357 mag for SD. For my hipster persona, my 224 is the modern, quick reload version of my 3" SP101. I am also very impressed with the pistol shooting the round, so that is my only point of reference. Being thrifty, it's not wallet friendly, though the Sig brand of ammo is about the cheapest of the shelf I've seen (SMKW)

https://www.hightowerarmory.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HTAMBS95 I've about convinced myself to be the TGO test bed for this HP upgrade. Another $275 into my original $175 investment, why not. In hold'em, I believe the term is pot committed. One of the reviews said the bull pup trigger is average, which has to be an improvement over the well broken and not particularly good stock trigger. Full ambi should be a plus, though curious if they got left handed operator and ejection patterns right.

My house got shot up last night, by an idiot with an airgun
A.J. Holst replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Training Discussions
Shooter did not hold up under questioning. After denying his BB gun could not fly that far and do damage, I offered the opportunity to do another test, right now. He then volunteered he may heard BBs hitting something, did not relate to hitting my house. Had a positive conversation and teaching moment about proper gun handling, offered to loan him a target stand and nicely, calmly said, "don't ever shoot my stuff again." Neighbor again confirmed intent to fix. -
The majestic, biting moose of the fjords is in the opening credits...I probably shouldn't know that. Not coyote related, but Fawlty Towers is Cleese genius.

My house got shot up last night, by an idiot with an airgun
A.J. Holst replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Training Discussions
Rentors down the hill are horrified and will get it fixed. Grandson was shooting, Stella said he was shooting towards the woods (there is a target in a safe area). No idea he changed directions. I think he changed directions because he couldn't see and used the porch light for illumination. From his perspective, shooting up hill, if I over shoot, no way I'll hit that house (if it even registered) -
We've been enjoying a trio the last 3 weeks. 1 male (red throat) and two females - beautiful green stripe down their backs. The females do compete and will chase each other. (2 feeders, store bought hummingbird safe pre mixed nectar)

As hard as they tried to spin the CMP as evil, all they could come up with was more guns end up on the streets, those now illegal guns can be traced back to the guv'mint, and it's a give away - .gov should retain the profits from the sales. 1. Other than theft, I am unaware of an effort to move surplus M1, M1C, 1903 or 1911s into the criminal element. 2. Traced back to the original purchasers, who are CMP members. 3. What would a new .gov bureaucracy to handle the disposition of CMP eligible weapons cost...CMP thinks they'll make $18m from 1911 sales, .gov would be lucky to break even. I hope it causes some of the libs who are able to think, actually think.

My house got shot up last night, by an idiot with an airgun
A.J. Holst replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Training Discussions
Last night I was in my office which faces the rear of the house, I hear what sounds like a spring recoiling. Look around, nothing out of ordinary, perhaps structure contracting as it cools off, maybe the spring in a window track finally gave up the ghost. Head off to bed. This morning, I notice an imperfection in the window, closer inspection, a BB hit. More inspection reveals my lower patio door has one shattered glass panel with obvious BB impact and multiple impacts in the vinyl siding. Filed on line report with BCSO. Then noticed some cans and a box on the rental porch down the hill. A quick, covert mission revealed can and box used for targets, with exit holes oriented towards my house. My house became the back stop. I'll be knocking on the door in about 20 minutes. Know your target and what's beyond Don't point your projectile thrower towards anything you don't wish to destroy of poke holes in What if I had been downstairs when that door shattered? Not being tactically trained, I have a pretty simple set of non John Wick moves. I know I would have drawn and moved to acquire a good position, screamed for Mrs. GtGs to dial 911 (yes, she understands her job for this big IF) Using some rehearsed phrases, in an outside voice, encourage the BG, to stop his encroachment. I suspect my next moves are predicted upon the BG proceeding with the forced entry. Be safe my friends! -
Are these Equadorian Mountain or Mexican Whooping Llamas? If the seller was dishonest, you may actually have North Chillean Guanacos. And yes, this is an obscure reference to a British comedy movie and my odd sense of humor.

Glad you found a solution! I've used a non tuckable N82 for years and Steel is not exaggerating the comfort. Shame they don't offer shirts with square cut tails design to be worn untucked. Maybe buy a few, get them logo'd and show up, doubt you'd get sent home.

Having attended many active shooter seminars, I was under the impression that LE procedure is first responder (s) are to engage the shooter as back up is on the way. I've posted before I'm not trained nor inclined to run towards gun fire, but if I can make a difference, I hope I have the courage and presence of mind to fight vs. flight or freeze.

Having just added .357 Sig (and .40) because of an awesome gun deal, I've been learning about this round. I was NOT planning on adding another caliber to my mix. It's early in the process, but I think I shoot the .357 better than .40 As an original .357 mag guy, I think it's a pretty cool roound and beginning an emotional attachment. I like how it mimics .357 magnum, just not sure if the improved barrier penetration is needed, considering the Hornady Critical Duty in 9mm does well. A PCC or PDW in .357 Sig would be awesome. I saw a chassis for Glock and Sig. Practice ammo price is a deterrent. Off the shelf I can buy 9 for $10/50, .40/.380 for $13/50 and .357 Sig jumps to $25-$40/50 (similar to .357 mag) SD ammo is surprising affordable, price per round in line with most 9/.40/.45 I compared it to. Welcome aboard!
