  1. Huh, as I recall Ruger paid mine both ways. I do know that overnight service is the only way they will ship it.
  2. When the 'smith knocked my sights out he talked about how bad it was but said, it STILL wasn't as bad as an XD that he had done! lol
  3. I used to live very close to that WM - I didn't even shop at it! I preferring to drive further to the one at Bell road...
  4. I didn't answer because you know more about scopes than I do!   Well, I do know that D&T Arms is an authorized dealer for Vortex. He is a good guy and is located in Goodlettsville (right across from Rivergate Mall). He is also a vendor here on TGO.
  5. Nice review! A lot of people think that they cause or could contribute to having an AD (Accidental Discharge). If you depress the lock tab and withdraw the gun your finger may tend to end-up right on the trigger. I am not saying this to deride or run them down, just to make sure you are aware of a possibility! I would hate for anyone to be shot (accidentally - if you intend to shoot them, well, that is a different matter).
  6. Hey, glad you're here!   As far as those guns go - good luck!
  7. You know, I had never thought about it before but now that you have said that, I fits me to a T.
  8. Sarcasm... I get it (even if I cant spell it)!
  9. I'm in - and thanks!
  10. The base oil in full synthetic is still dino juice... its the additives that are synthetic BUT I agree, it price gouging. Like how a can of coke costs $1.25 in a machine but I can get 24 cans at wally world for less than 6 bucks!
  11. The ONLY problem that I am aware of (based on that Ruger deal) is that according to UPS it MUST BE shipped from a UPS hub (which is Nashville). I laughed out loud when I saw the door you take it into was posted, no carrying (but I didn't think it was to funny, based on their location)!   Good luck!
  12. That is exactly the same way I started mine. I have had no issues with it, even with a faster burning powder (Titegroup). I do know that I actually broke my RCBS inertia bullet puller the other night trying to pop one out but in fairness it was about 40 degrees in my garage and the puller is made out of plastic! lol
  13. Try calling Taurus customer service. I had a similar experience with a Ruger once and he told me what was up (might want to have the gun in front of you, when you call.
  14. NICE! I had a qualified gunsmith with a sight pusher for both of my M&P's and they both needed to be tapped out!
  15. Damn man! I sincerely hope your levels reduce quickly and that you have no lasting effects from this! It was awesome of you to tell your story to try to help others. I will say a prayer for you.
  16.   Excellent information, thanks for posting!   mcurrier - are you by chance an active LEO with Metro (you location is Nashville and you display a LEO badge)? So my question is, how well is this known and if a person ran-across an office that didnt know it, what would be the best way to explain it?
  17. Excellent heads up, thank you! I believe that I bought http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900117598/winchester-small-magnum-pistol-primers-1-1-2m but I will go home and check now, to verify!   I got them at the Reloaders Bench in Mount Juliet (close to Nashville) and they know what I reload. Don't think they would steer me wrong but, as former President Ronald Reagan said "Trust but verify!"
  18. So what calibers are availabe? If SHTF I know I need to head to Shelbyville!
  19. It is an excellent old pistol! Congrats on it actually being more valuable as an heirloom then as an old gun! I agree, way to many people just sell things off, looking to make a buck.
  20. Very nice! Hope you got it at a yard sale price, too!
  21. Welcome! I had been in the Navy myself, but a bit latter than you.
