The NRA, who sat on their THUMBS for decades, trying to take credit for the elimination of the NFA Taxes.

FFS Fuddclowns, just shut up.

GOA and NAGR are doing all the heavy lifting with FPC helping. NRA is a dinosaur org, full of corruption, which has engaged in a symbiotic relationship with the jack-booted baby burners of the ATF in a kabuki theater of "muh activism".

Been sick of it for a decade, and then some.

FU NRA, go away.

We've had this discussion before on here a few times.  But I'm still of a mind that the NRA shouldn't be doing anything that isn't related to firearm safety, training, and education.  They lost the plot going into legislative influence, and didn't do much of a good job.  Let GOA handle all that, and SAF can work the courts.

The higher ups sure had a good time on our money. When they busted Wayne LaPierre on all his illegal perks to the tune of 5.2 million, it sure shined a light on their corruption. I was no longer an NRA member after almost 30 years.

I'm sure we're kicking a dead horse here, but good to be reminded why gun owners should swing their support to Gun Owners of America and other such pro-gun organizations.

Our local range, Middle Tn Sporting Association, voted to eliminate the long running requirement of belonging to the NRA to be a MTSA member last year. That vote easily passed.

I've been booted off of gun forums (MI) because the owners and Mods were NRA robots who would tolerate no criticism of their beloved Wayne. FUDDscum.

I'm still a member mostly because my gun club requires it. They get my annual dues, but not one cent more. WLP may be gone, but the corruption goes on. 🤬

I'm also a member of and do give extra to GOA, SAF and FPC. 👍

IMO, the NRA is a useful whipping boy. They have the name recognition across pretty much the entire spectrum of political leanings. GOA, FPC, etc, not so much. And I like it that way.

This gives the anti-gunners a big NRA-sized target and leaves those other orgs doing the actual work mostly left in peace to do what they do.

The NRA is sort of a useful idiot.

I'm still going to support the NRA.  They've cleaned house and I think they deserve a second chance.  In spite of themselves they still have done a lot of good and there is still more work to be done.  They are also the name recognition in firearms safety and training.  We are all on the same side and another pro-gun organization is always a good thing.  Hopefully they have learned from their past and will keep a close eye on the purse from here on out.

I see all the good they could have done if there hadn't been so much corruption too. However, I'm with you on this. They aren't perfect, but they CERTAINLY aren't my enemy.
