I wonder if this is a Tennessee thing. I was in Alabama (again) this last weekend and the ammo shelves at Dicks were stocked. Remington .223 for 9.xx a box. They had .45, 9mm, .22, the only thing I didn't find was .380.

Dick's at cool springs had a full stock of everything but 380 tonight. Hundreds of boxes of 9mm, .40, 5.56, and 45. First selection of more than one brand of 45 I've seen in a while. I left every bit of it for you guys, too. Didn't buy a thing.

Since this is my first Prvi Partizan ammo, just had to investigate. Lifted this from their website:

"You are preparing for hunting. You know that fresh air, untouched nature and hidden animals are waiting for you. You are packing your things. The box of Prvi Partizan ammunition is also there, your true friend who has never let you down, you know that for sure. You are ready now. This ammunition has gained thousands and thousands of trophies until now, there is at least one waiting for you."

That gibberish has nothing to do with .380, but it still sounds mighty triumphant!

Edited for .380

"You are preparing for shopping with the wife. You know that stale city air, untouched by wind and greenery, and hidden lowlifes are waiting for you. You are packing your things. The box of Prvi Partizan ammunition is also there, your true friend who has never let you down, you know that for sure. You are ready now. This ammunition has gained thousands and thousands of bad guys until now, there is at least one waiting for you."

Yep...I was in Florence. If I had to run and hide somewhere that would be a good place to start!!

Dick's on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga had a dozen boxes of .40 S&W and 9mm yesterday. Also worth noting, MidwayUSA backorder date for some of their lower priced stuff seems to be 6/20. I think this shortage is coming to a close.

Nonetheless, if anyone sees any .40 S&W JHP at a Wal-Mart within a reasonable distance of Chattanooga, let me know.

You're joking, right? 40S&W is everywhere, Cleveland, Signal Mtn Blvd, etc. It's about the only thing consistently in stock besides 25, 32 and 44 mag.

Was told by the person working in the Wal-Mart ammo section of Old Fort Parkway store in Murfreesboro that he got in eight cases of WWB 9mm Lugar 100 value boxes a few days ago. But, I was there last night... none on the shelves. He called other local WM stores, and no one had it. Looks like if you're not there when they open the shipment, you're out of luck.

I'm finally able to shoot the .380's guilt free. I don't see any of the Ultramax.......they must have sold out quickly. I'm not a big fan, but for the price I would have tried some. I see they have some buffalo bore +P's at midway though!

Now if I can find some .45 I'll be happy.

My girlfriend started looking at me funny when all the people at Walmart greet me by name as I head to sporting goods. Blazer Brass .45 where are you!!!

Doh! Reading is fundamental. Sorry!

:cool:No sweat... but since you've obviously been checking the WMs, do let me know if you see JHP. The clerk at the Hixson location said they DO get it in but very rarely. I'm certain when they do get it in, the price can't be beat!

Buds has aguila 380 but they want 30 a box. Nuts to that.

Coal creek had about 10 boxes of .380 last weekend. They wanted $40 per box. It was the cheap no-name crap too. :woohoo:

Randy's guns and knives in Fountain City had plenty of .45 today when I was in there at lunch.
