An interesting new entry on the pistol scene. I don't want one, but I'd like the chance to fire one.

Arsenal Firearms Strike One Pistol

Russian firm Arsenal Firearms have official specifications of the Strike One pistol have been published. I first wrote about it last month after seeing it in a Russian-language video. The pistol's main innovation is in-line recoil (the barrel recoils straight back, rather than tilting or twisting). This could allow easier control of the gun during recoil

I wonder what the end cost will be on these? Regardless, if it's of good quality, function's correctly, shoot's to point of aim and has an attractive price it might become a serious contender. And yes, I'll be waiting to get a good look at one myself as a potential purchase.

It's a close combat drill. You draw and fire while retreating. He is the first I've ever seen actually put his hand in the target. But the principal is still the same.

No, I get that. Right after. He's just standing there flinching as someone else dumps about 10 or so rounds into the target over his right shoulder.

The cycling is not like the Caracal or the Steyr. The barrel does not drop down when coming out of battery like most other JMB designs. The barrel recoils straight back. This no doubt changes how the recoil feels.

I have always been a fan of the Russian designs. The APS pistol is one I would really like but it will never see our shores.
