I would not like to change a tire on that thing.

How big do you think that tire is? Last time I saw one of those, was on the giant quarry trucks.

I am 6'3" tall, it has to be at least 8  feet tall.

It is amphibious, it has 2, 3 foot props under the rear.

Thats great and all, but what about mileage? This thing has to make an abrams look like a fuel efficient car.

I love the Lane museum. 

 

They bought that as an operational vehicle. It was brought up the Cumberland river, then driven through Nashville to the museum on Murfreesboro Rd at night with utility crews and a police escort. They have a great photo album and a video of it in the museum. Last time I was there, they also had a pretty decent group of mostly foreign military vehicles.

 

If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by.

I imagine the mileage on this thing is something like 5 gallons per mile?  And much less on the water ;-)

I love driving by and looking at that monstrosity. I bet it was something bringing that down Murfreesboro road.
