Glock 44 ... 9mm

While not holding my breath, I will line up for a single stack 9mm Glock that is near 42 size. Every day I see those 300.00 NIB Shields makes me want to get one, but I will wait to see if Glock produces a Shield beater.

Same here. I am a Glock man through and through but just recently bought a Shield 9 and am very impressed with it but if Glock made a comparable size pistol I woukd be all over it. Just not as fast though since the Shield has filled my pocket carry/deep concealment needs.

Now that would be a pocket cannon. Probably feel like shooting a Nano.

Ruger did the LC9 instead. I'm thinking twice the chamber pressure really matters. I think that if Glock does a single stack 9, it's gonna be a good 'un. I just doubt that it's gonna weigh 5 oz less than a Shield.

I've not shot the LC9. After holding it, I just wasn't attracted to it. The LC9s however, feels better to me. And of course, the change to striker fire trigger is just great as far as I'm concerned.

But again, that's just based on feel. When I get the chance to fire one, it might change. I'm pretty well attached to the Shield. So it will take a lot to make me change over.

As to my earlier comment, post 54, about the Beretta Nano; I really hated it. I found it to be as bad as the PF9. I just did not like the recoil I felt from shooting it.

Wimpy hands maybe, but I compared it to shooting one of the Smith Titanium snubbies. Just about brutal.

I'm saying no to another LC9 or the LC9s and could be on the 9mmP Shield if Glock doesn't come though. Even then either the Shield or Glock will have to measure up to my XDs9 to convince me. But anything is possible.

I went from a Shield(40) to a XDS(45) and then back to a Shield(9). To me the Shield in either chambering is a better gun for less money. I can't imagine a ss glock in 9mm doing anything my Shield can't do. I lose some rounds but my Shield already handles and shoots better than larger Glocks.

The LC9 trigger sucks. My girlfriend has one. I haven't shot it. It's a lot bigger than the LCP. The striker version should be great.

I haven't tried the XDs9, but have heard many good things about them. I'm almost afraid to try, I'm too heavily invested in the 2 Shields that I bought for my wife and myself. lol And she didn't like hers. So I have 2.

Seriously though, I do have my carry and one stashed as a house gun.

Yes, the LC9 trigger is is long and well to be charitable...stinky as far as I am concerned.

Sizewise, the LCP which I had pre Shield, is probably, at a guess, 20% smaller overall than the LC9.
