Boarding dogs in Knoxville.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Just asking your oppinions on another random subject.

We are taking a trip out of state sometime next year. we'll be gone about a week.

The problem is we planned the trip on a week when our female golden retriever will be in heat.

We have two, one male and one female and neither are fixed.

We are trying to decide if we will board both or take one with us. It would be way too hard to take both.

So, will boarding places take dogs that arent fixed, how bout females in heat?

Is there any places youd recomend?

Wagg-n-Purr in Athens is a great place.  We board both of ours there once or twice a year.  They won't take a dog in heat as it disrupts the kennel, as you can imagine, but spaying/neutering is not required.  Any kennel will require that your dogs be current on rabies, parvo, bordetella and distemper shots.  Let me know if you need more info.
