To anyone thinking of an xds...

The XDS 9 is a good gun. One of my buds has one and I shot it several times.

Tempting...but I went with a 9mm Shield (got a good deal on it online) and I'm quite pleased with it. I like the Shield's trigger much better and I deplore grip safeties on any make handgun.

Just my personal bias.

My XD-s came with a paddle holster, double mag holder, at least 2 mags (can't recall if it was 2 or 3), and other accessories in a very nice case. Do they even offer that package anymore? All I've seen lately is the pistol and a mag or 2, but at least the price went way down.

My summer EDC is an XDs 3.3" 9mm, it is definitely easy to carry IWB. But, my winter carry is an XDm compact 9mm. The XDm trigger is far better than the XDs, plus it'll carry 13 +1 with the standard mag. I'd carry the XDm year round, but being on the skinny side it's harder to conceal the XDm with just a T-shirt.

I've had several people comment how good a "shooter" the XDm is.
