I'm a fan of this choice of yours. A couple of times I had absolutely no choice but to either pocket carry or rely on my Jason Bourne / MMA/ Seals knife -combat skills. I'm a bit out of practice, so I chose to pocket a Ruger EC9, brother to your Max9 in my pocket . Sandwiched it in a loose bandanna cradle and it was as non-printing as anything could be. I'm a 30 yr '40 S&W' user (never converted to 9mm since I have an embarrassing number of 40's and wheel guns) so I appreciate when the 9mm's got more bang. The EC9 is my wife's "I'm in my tub relaxing and hubby isn't home right now" gun. Actually the EC9 stays in her bathroom palace, 100%. I've had several adrenalin dosed moments in my 70 year life, and I can honestly attest to "silky smooth triggers don't matter a g'damned bit" when it's a defining moment in your life. There's no recoil either. I have my wife practice (95%) with a 'small-ish' Ruger SR22. That is cheap practice, and IMHO is fantastic for developing that intuitive muscle/brain. Plinking, not rigid target shooting, is what's made her proficient. A 22 is the boobies, the bee's knees. Just saying.

Great checkup yesterday, up to 144 lbs, CT shows no cancer. Chemo pills for another 2 weeks.

Protein is added to flour and cornmeal, that's the change you taste in breads. I've searched, thrown out lots of bread because of the taste or smell when toasted. Europe won't buy our flour and corn meal because of the added protein. My son's senior year of high school, 1991. A friend delivers for Pizza Hut, sees that we order a lot for our family of 5. Oh, I have a few left over most every night, I'll bring you one. Sunday morning a week later there are 3 pizza boxes on the counter when I get home from work. An odor is in the air. 3 pizza hut pizzas have green growth on top. All went to the outdoor trashcan. I could drive by one of their locations, get a smell and feel sick. All closed here now.
