In 2022 I had been with my music distribution company for 22 years. I was the digital distribution manager and controlled a catalog of around 30,000 individual songs across over 2500 albums by around 500 artists that generated 8 figures in revenue yearly. I loved working in the music industry and the perks that came along with it but I needed a fiscal change. I left in 2022 to become a police dispatcher. Luckily, I didn't need to go back to school or anything. All of the training is OtJ. I've been there three and a half years now and am really trying my best to learn every aspect of the job. Ive already been made a trainer and work with a couple of specialized units within the bureau.

I would not have considered the kid's mental state to be part of the definition of a nuclear family, just whether the parents and child live together in the same household.
-
Prosecutors argued that they purchased the gun used in the shooting for their son and failed to address his mental health concerns, even after being alerted to disturbing drawings he made. I would not call this the typical nuclear family. If I had a son that exhibited mental problems be damned if I buy him a firearm.

The Crumbleys from the Oxford HS shooting came to mind first

And I commend you for this

Lack of affordable and adequate mental health treatment combined with easy access to firearms. We're a pretty sick society. I'm currently holding firearms for a friend because he recognized he didn't trust himself to have them in his home. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to recognize those signs and seek help.

If I recall, that .348 case has a rim that is bigger than a 45-70 .. and THAT alone is huge. Many guys here go; "Meh, only a 35 cal.". Ha ! That case is frikken FAT, with a wonderfully Loooooong neck: Perfect for any size lead slug, keeping any gas-check up from the shoulder, allowing a super heavy slug, 'ala 30-30. That's a match made in heaven. Hmmmm, .348. Hmmm .. . .348. Hmmmmm. I have 2,000 lbs of lead. Hmmm.

I agree that this has a lot to do with it, but several shooters have come from nuclear families right? I think there's also something else at play and I believe it's cultural as well.
