  2. Quick question: When the hell did we start using "uncommanded" instead of "negligent"? It doesn't fit in my mouth right. It's always been an 'ND'
  3. Well...... good news bad news. The Softail is back together & runs absolutely perfectly. The upgrade to the transmission is something that, now I've done it, I would 100% recommend to anyone with an Evo. It's like shifting gears on a jap bike! (I mean that as a compliment, from someone who grew up with Japanese bikes) No slop, no play, clicks in & out of gear like a mouse button. Shifting is absolutely silent too Hands down, no question a different bike in such a great way! It was a chore getting to it, but the actual trans work itself was about a 30 minute job. I ended up trimming back the 'wings' on the sides of my oil tank to aid reinstallment & with that done, it's a piece of cake to get in & out, so that's a bonus. The other MAJOR bonus, is that it's stopped leaking oil! I could never quite figure out exactly where it was coming from, but wherever it was was obviously either a gasket or seal I just replaced. The Wife is going to be happy! The bad news is that I went to jump on my sporty chop for a quick lunchtime cool off & I noticed that there's a crack in one of my welds, right at the neck, which unfortunately means that I have to completely strip out all the front end, wiring, brake lines & cables, sand off all the powder coat & re-weld it with some extra bracing I'm just going to do that for now & throw some crap paint on it so I can keep riding, but once winter kicks in I'll have to tear it down to the bare frame & have it re-powdercoated. It gives me a chance to clean up a couple of bits I wasn't 100% happy with, but still......

  5. Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO. Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete. Your experience will help others. Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun! None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction. They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns. DON'T DO IT. Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO. Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye. The complete Trading Post Rules and also some more helpful suggestions can be found by clicking this link. Everyone should read them at least once! ~~~ This was an automatic reply ~~~
  6. Anybody got 2 of these laying around they don’t need?
  7. I haven’t had much luck this year So hot no rain I’m buying from the Mennonites I have decided they are more cost efficient than i
  8. Yes take it to a gunsmith if’s it’s a gun you’re going to bet you and your family lives on make sure it’s as reliable as you can make it
  9. ^ throwing it on top one more time before I keep it
  10. Yeah , I used to be able to name off all models.I can’t keep up with them anymore
  11. TRex Arms is offering a free P320 holster exchange. If you bought a P320 holster from them they will send you a holster for a different gun of your choice once you mail your P320 holster to them. It’s actually a solid move on two fronts. Good PR move at a time that they need it and also liability reduction as well since Sig likes to blame holsters for their uncommanded discharges.
  12. I'm not sure it would be right to sell a firearm if you truly believe that it's a safety hazard. My inclination would be to set it aside and hope that one day Sig will do the right thing. If not, then I guess I'd just take the loss and destroy it.
  13. Update... Just purchased the Hogue grip today along with the Night Vision front sight. Looking forward to the evolution of this carry pistol and welcome advice and insight along this journey.
  14. After researching more into my new carry pistol, I have found several accounts of the striker/firing pin breaking or malfunctioning. My concern is should I go ahead and replace this before it becomes an issue? Just want to make certain the pistol when necessary. Appreciate the feedback and stay safe y'all.
  15. I agree with Frog. Sell it. Until Sig admits there is an issue and puts a fix forth to combat this terrifying issue, sell it. If you can. There are just so many more reliable, SAFE, and dependable options out there to keep it around. I had a P320 M17 that was a blast to shoot and play with. Once the uncommented discharges became more of a commonplace issue, I ended up selling it and have not missed it one bit. I do feel for those who don't know about them and the ones that are hurt by them. I don't though, feel for those who keep their head in the sand.
