Respectfully, anyone who thinks it makes no difference who is president or who "hates Romney" and will never vote for him needs to reexamine his thouhgs. I don't know that anybody can even save us from the destination we are heading toward. I DO know that Obama will put rocket boosters on the vehicles that will get us there. Obama has to be defeated OR WE HAVE NO CHANCE AT ALL. Obama has given us more debt in 3 years than W gave us in eight...we have $1.6 TRILLION deficits to infinity. Obama bypasses congress with executive orders and czars because the congress won't rubber stamp his agenda. Obama and his policies can destroy our economy with a debt load that exceeds our GDP - our currency will become worth less than the paper that it's printed on and world markets will stop trading in U.S. Dollars...we'll beg for gasoline when we can get it and we'll long for the days when it was "only" $6/gallon.Our economy; hell, our very existence is dependent on energy which means oil...cut us off from that; either physically or due to purchasing power and this country is finished. Whatever isn't destroyed when the economy collapses will be taken care of by the courts...after Obama stacks the lower courts with socialist judges and puts two or three more Kagans on high court - every single gain we've had (you know, such as the two recent pro-second amendment decisions and a few lower court decisions) will be as good as dead. There will effectively be no second amendment protection anymore - Obama and his cronies will find a way to take our guns from us just like England...just like Canada....just like every socialist country. If America is very lucky, it will still "exist" but be relegated to the status of a France or England; a super power turned into a super has-been and "remember when...". Obama has to be defeated OR WE HAVE NO CHANCE AT ALL.5 points

A non-vote = a vote for the incumbent, whoever that may be. Your non-vote may put two more radical socialists on the Supreme Court which will do generations worth of damage. Think about that. There's a lot more at stake here than just the person who sits at the helm in the Oval Office. The repercussions for not voting for anyone can be just as damaging as casting a vote directly for Obama.4 points

Actually extremely short or extremely long either one can cause higher pressure. When you set the bullet really deep it reduce the cases capacity which will cause higher pressure. When you set the bullet to long the bullet has no jump length (distance to the lands) and this will also cause pressure increases. It is generally considered to be safe to go longer (which is generally more accurate to) and work your way up looking for pressure signs with longer loads. Allen2 points

I think I'll repost my Mitt Defense now and then. Think about it. ----------------------------------- Romney will try to run the place like a biz. He's not an ideologue, has no overwhelming agenda of just "how' things should be in some sort of utopian destruct and rebuild -- he'll be pragmatic enough to try to make things work. He cares about America and its traditional greatness, and certainly does not want to change 236 years of our history into some theoretical new construct that simply steals income tax money from the (barely) 50% paying it to the other half that don't while those with an in make extra money from that same pool. Also, though all presidents must be ego maniacal to a certain degree, he'll look like a humble sequestered monk compared to Obama and his over-exalted sense that history will show him to be The Visionary Savior Propelling Us Into The New World EveryDamnThing. Gun rights won't even be on his radar one way or the other; if anything arises, he'll just accede to a (hopefully) GOP majority in both chambers. Perhaps most importantly, his choices for the Supremes will absolutely not change us into a further Amerika over the next 50 years as would Obama's. Romney's main criticism as a "flip flopper" may actually prove to be quite a strength in this crazy world of fast changing priorities -- he won't pursue failing options, but will change to meet realistic changing circumstances, just like a successful CEO. Much like the now Conservative God Ronald Reagan -- let us not forget he was quite the liberal Democrat into the mid 50's. Also, Mitt doesn't care if he makes another single buck the rest of his life, and will demur from trying to write his own history books as he goes along. ------------ - OS2 points

Whatever Romney's failings...no matter how much anyone thinks they shouldn't bother to vote, or should just vote for Obama or vote for a third-party/write in candidate I would simply ask you to think again. If Obama has a second term whatever is left of our republic and especially our second amendment rights will be gone. It's just that simple. Whether he does it by completely bypassing Congress (as he's been doing) or he does it by the two or three supreme court justices he will get to appoint, Obama will destroy the country and our rights. If a drunk, hamster was running on the Republican ticket it would be better for the country to elect the hamster than to return Obama to office.2 points

Hate Crime is code for "Thought Crime". For an explanation, read the book "1984." As far as I can gather, a hate crime is any crime commited against a black person, or a gay person, by a white male, that can somehow be construed into racism or homophobia. If you have documented examples contrary to this, I'd like to see them.1 point

I'd rather someone be an Obama lover than someone who cares so little for our country that they are willing to do nothing and the consequences be damned.1 point
-
Guys, don't get the wrong idea. I believe Obama is hands down the worst president in the history of the country. To call me an Obama lover is to stray as far from truth as possible. What I can't get comfortable with is the idea of voting for a Republican just because he isn't Obama, and hoping he might decide to not be quite as progressive. If that is the best the Republicans are willing to offer; SCREW THEM!!! I don't know what the right answer is, but until one party or the other decides to uphold the constitution, I will support neither. If that contributes to the detriment of our country; so be it. If more would do the same instead of settling for "at least he isn't Obama", we could get something done. Until then, we're toast.1 point

I don't mean to be disagreeable, but seriously, if someone cannot see an enormous difference between Romney and Obama then they just aren't paying attention. There is really no comparison between the two. It is true that Romney is a moderate Republican on many issues (even liberal on some). However, he is nothing like the socialist we have now. You could combine Wilson, FDR, Johnson, and Carter, and they still don't compare to Obama. While I do not always agree with OhShoot, he is spot on his concern about the SCOTUS. Even though things look pretty bad now, if Obama got the opportunity to appoint 2 or 3 justices, then it really is over. Another aspect to consider is what Obama will do in a lame duck term. If you think he is bad now, just imagine what he will do without the worry of having to be reelected. There will be massive amounts of new regulations and executive orders implemented that will make his first term pale in comparison. We still won't have a budget passed for the next 4 years, and the Republican congress are a bunch of milquetoasts who won't defund a lot of this nonsense, and we will end up being over $20 trillion in debt. I was an avid Paul supporter in the primary. I sincerely thought he was the only candidate worth voting for. However, he lost and stands absolutely no chance of winning the nomination. The best we can hope for is that Paul and his campaign have opened the eyes of a lot of people who are going to become politically active. Romney is no prize. It makes no sense for a conservative to delude himself to think otherwise. Nonetheless, I will be voting for Romney in the general, even if his VP pick is a tool as well. The alternative is just too terrifying to even think about.1 point

This isn't about "R" or "D"; it's about survival of America as a democratic republic. I am not optimistic about our chances but I am convinced that Romney on his most liberal day is still a 100% better choice that Obama on his most conservative day. Any president can appoint a justice that may turn out to be liberal even if no one thought they would (we have several examples)...Romney "may" appoint someone more liberal than would, say, Santorum or Paul but Romney isn't going to shut his penis his zipper if he can avoid it so it's likely he'll appoint justices that conservatives can at least tolerate if not get excited about. On the other hand, we already have proof that Obama will appoint not just liberal bur radical liberal justices...there is ZERO reason to think that in a lame-duck term he won't appoint justices that are even more liberal than he already has. I don't "like" Romney either but he has accomplished something in his life besides being a politician. He is, I believe, a decent, moral man who dose have some principles he livers by. He does, I believe love this country and will not knowingly do things that will tear it down. He is a capitalist at heart and believes in the capitalist system. I can say NONE of those things about Obummer....not a single one...those reasons alone are reasons enough not to vote (directly or effectively) for Obama. Getting Obama out of office after one term may not save our country but leaving him in for another four may well assure its demise.1 point

I don't much care for Romney and also have no desire whatsoever to vote for any politician from the Northeast but there really is no other option. I have long despised the Republican party and this year has furthered by belief that they have absolutely no clue as to what they are doing. The crop of candidates they have put up this year is proof to me of that. I look at it this way, if you don't vote for Romney then you are voting for Obama. Even if an independent runs, who will have no chance at all of winning, and you vote for them, it's a vote for Obama. I refuse to not vote, so I will go to the polls, hold my nose and push the button.1 point

If you really think Kerry would have been a better president that "W" then I'd like to try whatever pharmaceuticals you were one because they must have been good ones. Bush senior was a decent man; "W" was also a good, decent man but I wouldn't classify either of them as good presidents (certainly not the worst either)...both "W" and senior were big-government, big-spending Republicans. One "man" can bring down the country when that one man spends more in 3 years than W spent in eight...one man can bring down the country when we have 1.6 trillion dollar deficits to infinity. One man can bring down the country when he bypasses congress with executive orders and czars because the congress won't rubber stamp his agenda. One man can bring down the country because one man and his policies can destroy our economy with a debt load that exceeds our GDP. I think that its far fetched. If there are riots they will be on a very small scale. Believe it or not hard working educated black people are as sick of the behavior of the clowns that keep up all of this crap as people of other races are. I have been chatting with a lot of people this week to gauge their anger about what happened. From what I hear most people dont think that this was a racial matter. Most people that I have spoken with are pissed because they believe that there was not an immediate arrest and that the cops handled Zimmerman with kid gloves. This was my initial opinion until getting more info on SYG. I think that belief was formed because of the immediate information that was given by the media. Most blacks feel that had they been involved in the matter as the shooter they would still be in jail. From what I gather that's the justice that the protesters are seeking. I wish that energy would be used to ensure that they are living their lives right and raising their kids to be productive citizens. If you are at school, work or raising a family you don't have time to protest.1 point

They have no following or credibility. They are on the same level as the self appointed "black leaders". This is their "look at me" moment. If they are lucky they will pick up a few new dues paying members and then go home and pat themselves on the back. I will say it again. When blacks start protesting the daily murders and general black on black crime that occurs everyday then these marches will be taken seriously. Until then it means nothing.1 point

You wish that it were that simple. If you are participating in these threads because you feel that you have to win the discussion then you have already lost. I have moved on from this Zimmerman/Martin fiasco. I made my statement because some people in this country think that a race war/riot is a solution to years of poor legal system, bad government, racial strife and poor personal decisions. Stupid people burning their own neighborhoods and possibly leading to the loss of a innocent life and millions in property damage is nothing to look forward to. Sharpton, Jackson, Limbaugh and others like them have nothing to lose because they will be nowhere in sight when the crap hits the fan. So, if it will make you feel better I will concede that you and your like minded cohorts have already won every dicussion in every thread from this point on. You are a winner!1 point

I would not be suprised if Zero proclaimed Martial Law right before the November election. Say Zimmerman is indicted Tuesday. Say his trial comes to a head and he is found not guilty or charges dropped near the end of October. Riots ensue. The Big O proclaims elections can't happen on account of this. Think it is far fetched. My tin foil is stretched tight over my noggin.1 point

Too funny! We know that Jackson and Sharpton have selfish motives whenever they get involved in social issues, but after reading a lot of these post I have come to realize that they are not alone in their racial hatred. I know, I know. You are not a racist. You are just tired of all of the politically correct crap, the affirmative action, the social program and the overall general existence of the non-white humanoid. Good news for you. You are still in America and it's ok to feel that way, but eagerly anticipating a race war/riot. I'm at a loss for words. I hope that a few years from now people are not talking about what a good sight this was for guns and debate before a bunch of like minded individuals high jacked it to serve their own selfish and hateful purposes.1 point

If they set out to kill Whitey, Florida is a very poor choice, as is Tennessee.1 point

I don't really believe that people here are hoping for race riots. However, I do believe that there is clearly a segment of the "black" population in this country who are truly racists, perhaps the most racists in our country, and who truly want to kill "whitey". Such folks don't give a damn about Martin or the facts or whether Martin is 100% responsible for his death or truly was the victim - it's all about race for them and Martin and the eventual disposition of Zimmerman may well supply the excuse for what they already want to do. People such as these won't be satisfied until they do riot.1 point

Not everyne has an extra grand sitting around so I think this would be a great sub $600 AR. There are better ones for more but this is probably the best prebuilt you can get for that money. DPMS builds decent stuff, I have had 2 including a sportical. I would pick one up at that price play with it for a while to see if the AR is for you and then resell it for $500. At $500 even the gunsnobs would think about picking that up you will sell it same day for that price. You could also go out and get a PCF lower and swap out the lower and charge 750 like the one I saw on here 3 weeks ago and then you could sell the other lower for 250 like the one that is currently on another site. You would have 700 invested and sell it all for 1000 and go out and get a "better" rifle. I love reading the AR discussions because it seems like most people have the opinion that if you don't buy the best then there is no need for having one. I think that getting the best you can for your budget is the best gun.1 point

Though some reports have stated that they take your HCP when renewing, I don't think they actually do. That would be like taking away your drivers license and mailing you a new one if they didn't have the capability to issue the DL immediately. Having said that, going to the DOS to renew is really no better at getting your renewal. They can't issue your HCP there, the receipt they give you just proves you have applied for a renewal, and if you apply in plenty of time before yours expires, by mail allows you to keep your permit IF they did take it at the DOS. Also, they supposedly mail you a receipt when you apply by mail, so if your permit was to expire before you received it, you would have that to show. All in all, I'm for the mail. One reason I also always pay for the renewal and a duplicate at the same time. $55 gets you one and a duplicate. I have found it more comfortable to have a duplicate in case I were to misplace my wallet and not be able to find it for a couple days. (it's happened)1 point

I think you might need to broaden you ideas of drinking. We're not talking about tying one on here. Examples. *Mixed with honey and lemon in a hot tea it will sooth a sore throat and help you sleep. You can even do that one up for the kids in weaker doses. *A shot a few minutes before pulling a tooth, and a diluted shot to GENTLY rinse a few days later, and/or anytime for an oral antiseptic. *If you're man enough....I have tossed it down the hatch on a stomach virus. It's ROUGH, but it will kill the heck out of it. Best to sleep on it. *Speaking of sleep, it can help with that and for flu/colds and fever it can help you sleep it off and sweat it out. Getting hammered in a SHTF situation is just irresponsible.1 point
