I know a guy that lost his license and 19. He paid what he could, and always settled his debts, but through the bureaucracy and steep costs was always unable to get his license back. Between hoops to jump though and paying his regular bills it seemed be never had the $1000, $2000, $3000, $4000 to pay the fines/reinstatement costs that continually accrued. Though he continued to drive to work, every time he would be caught for a minor infraction (a tail light, a headlight, failure to come to a complete stop) it would add thousands of dollars and another time constraint to what it took to reinstate his license. He became a family man, no legal issues, but one mistake, during a time where the state of Tennessee didn't have insurance requirements (determined at fault due to other party having insurance regardless of cause of accident) he lost his license. Total costs over the course of ten years involved multiple trips to jail and tens of thousands of dollars in court costs. And all of it cause by an ambiguous law that wasn't even broken. Failure to provide proof of financial responsibility was the official answer. A record as long as the tattoos on my arm, and only for driving offenses. This was resolved a long, long time ago. But it is something that I still have bitter feelings about. It was nothing more than a way to keep the poor as poor as possible in my opinion and experience. I applaud the law and hope that it is used in good faith and for the good of all.3 points

Just found out about this place 2 months ago. Papas' Old Fashioned BBQ in Erin Tn. Good food and good prices. One of the last meat and three type places left. I've been there 4 times now. Awesome ! The pork is great but they also have BBQ bologna that tastes like they inject marinade and seasonings onto it . The BBQ bologna sandwiches are thick ! Here's a picture of my BBQ bologna sandwich and some mash potatoes and gravy . Just awesome ! Thought I'd pass this on to anyone who may be driving around and want to try a good old mom and pop type place .2 points

My heart doctor had the hospital send me home with a cane because he knows about all of my other issues and one of the things they want you to do after open heart surgery is to talk and because many times the places I am walking are not flat but more like my yard he insists I use a cane to keep from falling. Little did he know but my SIL had a custom cane made for me back 3 years ago as it helped my hips when I would walk to the mail box. Without it I would be in intense pain by the time I got back to the house but with the cane I have almost little to no pain. Normally when I go grocery shopping I park near one of the cart traps for putting shopping carts in and I grab 1 out of there and push it inside and use it to shop. It eliminates all my hip pain by doing that. I'm always looking for new ways to do things that help with daily chores so I don't have to depend on pain meds unless I have zero options and then just stopping what I am doing and sit down and rest. I had to give up one of the loves of my life back in 2011 and that was bass fishing. It got to be to much on my body so SON IN LAW has my Skeeter Bass boat now and ever so often he will get a short day at work and call me and we go and bass fish on Percy Priest lake cause I can sit on the back seat and fish and he runs the trolling motor and does all the fetching for me when I need something. I have not been in over a year cause of his work but thats fine. He takes good care of my daughter and grand children and thats more important than fishing. I really don't have any issues with my life at present. I see many folks a lot worse off than I am and it is what keeps me going..................2 points

Well truthfully cities are similar everywhere. More and more we see you need rural property to comfortably set up a no hassle range. You can't assume you're gonna move to TN and be able to shoot anywhere. I'd also note that every year we're a little less country than the year before. It's the reason I support my local range. Of course my local range owns several hundred acres....2 points

Well according to my doctor I have some form of arthritus in every joint in my body which all relates back to that truck back in 1978. The only time I am not in some kind of pain is when I am not moving. Or maybe when I am sleeping as long as I don't try to move or roll over and then it might wake me up. I have learned to live with it until it's gets unbearable due mostly to weather. Damp days are worse and then I take something for it. I can tell it's raining just by standing up in the morning while getting out of bed. Just grit my teeth and head for the coffee pot letting Darby out on the trip.1 point

Great. I plan on picking one or two up the next time I am there to use for this and other items. Not foolproof as we have said, but provides that extra layer and time involvement that might make bad guys pass it for an easier target.1 point

Thanks. I picked this up yesterday in the Harbor Freight store. Didnt have the coupon, so i paid 19.99 for it, but its worth that to me. Seems pretty solidly built and secure. The cable is better than many others ive seen. Like was mentioned above, its not for long term storage just for the few times i cant carry inside somewhere...also as was mentioned above, I can use this if i ever fly.1 point

I was talking with my grandson about getting me a deer for the freezer and he said he would. He said they finally have stopped the poachers from coming on the property. They decided after being arrested 3 different times that is was getting to expensive to keep poaching on my sons land so will have a chance to get some deer this year as they are seeing some on the cameras. They have 4 ffod plots planted and I asked him about rubs and he said he has not see many rubs yet but he also said he has one deer rubbing cedar trees in 3 different locations and he is rubbing trunks of 3 and 4 inch Cedars and has them cleaned. He is hoping to see him on one of the cameras as he move two of them in the area of the rubs. He said it has got to be a huge deer as he is rubbing up at least 4 feet up the trees. I ask him to send me any videos he may get of the deer on his cameras and he said he would.1 point

If MagPul were to take the current Henry AR-7 and modernize it, I think it would be amazing. Heck, MagPul could probably release a "stock" that is 100% compatible with the Henry AR-7. Fashion the "buttplate" so that it somehow locks/screws in resulting in a 100% waterproof and floatable package. Add some sort of M.O.L.L.E. webbing feature on the left or right side of the stock so you can literally strap the thing securely to a pack. To be fair, the Henry setup is pretty nice, but it still leaves a bit to be desired in my opinion.1 point

June 9, 1973 - In one of the most awesome displays of dominance in sports history, Secretariat wins the Belmont Stakes by 31 lengths, winning the Triple Crown of United States Thoroughbred Racing for the first time since 1948. Hard to put this into context, but when sports writers put the greatest achievements in sporting history in perspective, somewhere on that list, will likely be a non-human participant, and that participant will be Secretariat. By winning the Belmont Stakes and therefore, the first Triple Crown in twenty-five years, Secretariat became a legend in the horse racing world. But it was in the world in general, when the horse won that race in record time, 2:24 flat for the 1.5 mile race, and won by thirty-one lengths, it was perhaps the most dominant sport achievement in history. Over fifty-two percent of the television viewing public watched the race, fifteen million viewers. He had been the prohibitive favorite, at 1 to 10 odds in the five horse race with jockey Ron Turcotte at the helm. The time of the race is still, more than forty years later, the Belmont Stakes record, as well as the American record on dirt for one and one half miles.1 point
