  1. Rural King kinda upset me this afternoon. I have my CCDW in Kentucky, which exempts me from the background check. The biggest reason I have my CCDW is because I seem to get a delay every time a BC is run. I went to RK today to grab a Chiappa 1873-22 because it is a full size rimfire SAA clone. The cat behind the counter was not the most helpful guy and refused to use my CCDW, claiming company policy to use my DL and run a BC. I was miffed, because I knew it would come back as a delay and told him as much. I had planned on going to the range today with my Heathen today with that new pistol, as we go shooting every Saturday. Sure enough, I got hit with a delay, and then the cat forgot to return my DL. I accept a portion of the blame, as it was my DL, but at the time I was bent out of shape about the fact he refused to even acknowledge my CCDW. So I then drive into the `Ville to go shooting, and realize I don't have it. So I get to turn around an hour to drive back to get my license back. I am rather salty about the whole ordeal. I get the idea of the policy. I am legal and clean I know that. But a big reason I got my CCDW was so that I wouldn't have to deal with the Brady Delay EVERY PURCHASE... The fact he forgot to give my DL back was just the icing on the cake. And then you add in that RK is selling the gun for 20% less than anyone else... Anyways, I just wanted to vent about something I completely understand and have no control over, but still upset me.

  2. It's definitely not too expensive for anything with a carburetor. I only use 100% gas in my motorcycle, mowers, weedeater, etc. I wouldn't care if it was $5/gal, I will not put E10 in anything with a carb. Fixing the damage is too much aggravation.

  3. I don't know. Thinking we've spent the last century sucking the Middle East dry of their only natural resource brings a smile to my face.

  4. I’d rather pay 3 bucks a gallon and get the corn out of my gas than have these low prices.

  5. Yeah, Im a little sad that I let it go. It was a great bike and hauled my fat ass without issue, in fact, I got in trouble for doing 95 and not realizing it. But the overall frame was small and I felt cramped and uncomfortable. Specially in long distance. But oddly enough, that was not an issue with the 883.

  6. We do, and I'm one of them. At this point, nobody is denying cougars/mountain lions/puma are in Tennessee. That's not the same as a black one. So far, no evidence exists at all of a black cougar anywhere....ever. There are black jaguars and leopards, but those are not in the USA outside of zoos and Russian mobster's collections. As stated above, TWRA denies a resident population of cougars. They're known to travel a long way so confirmed sightings in TN are not evidence of resident populations so TWRA may be correct....or maybe not.

  7. That is where I am at, the whole experience was so upsetting. The guy behind the counter today was rather distressing. They had my phone number and everything, and no one tried to contact me to inform me that I left my license.

  8. Conceal Carry Deadly Weapons. This took place in Kentucky. The CCDW is the equivalent of the TN HCP, but even more inclusive and liberating. I can carry a blackjack.

  10. I use Stabil in everything even with using 100% gas with no ethanol. I use to use the Red Stabil and then the Marine Blue Stabil came out and I learned that it worked better in my outboards on my bass boat so now I use it in all my small motors like Lawn Mowers, weed eaters, chain saws and everything else and have for about the last 4 years. It sure makes for faster and easier start ups in the Spring when it comes time to begin using the items again. I just put it in each item in Fall and start it up and run it till it gets ran threw all the fuel system and fill the fuel tank and store them for winter. Good thing about the Marine Stabil is it is designed to work on items that have a oil gas mixture required.

  11. Small engines have it the worst, specially the lawn equipment that doesn't get used in wintertime. I use 100% gas in my mixed fuel equipment, and add stabil in straight gas engines. So far my power sprayer is the only damage so a carb rebuild is in it's future.

  12. There is plenty of demand for 100% unleaded gas, it's just too expensive at the moment. I bet most that have small engine equipment would buy it if it was cheaper. But the .gov made it a law that gas would contain at least 10% renewable energy, and corn was the cheapest.

  13. No, they definitely denied they were here at all. There were pictures, a bit grainy, that they said were just large house cats, bob cats etc. It wasn't until they were caught on game cams that they had no choice but to acknowledge them. Now they are saying that "no population" line though.

  14. Don't you know all the anti-gun people wet their panties when they watched and listened to that Sheriff almost celebrating a woman protecting herself with a firearm and killing the bad guy with a head shot in the middle of the night. Also telling folks that everyone should get a CWP and trained on how to defend themselves with a firearm...................

  15. It is hard to beat 150 grain Remington Core-lokt for price and performance.

  16. All of them. I've always had great results with 150gr Remington Core-Lokt and Federal Power Shok.

  17. There's no such thing as enough winter to kill them off. Ever been to Canada or Alaska? Winter just makes them bigger and stronger.

  18. I believe we have Black Panther deniers here on TGO. The problem is the actual sightings outside of our area are re-posted as caught in area and shared. A large vibrant population is not probable. pass throughs with a few locals is possible and with the size of the Park and no residential, it's virtually impossible to confirm or deny. Hope we actually do have a few, protected (by accident) through the NPS. Here is an actual sighting of one in it's winter environment.
