1. I'm seeing it as well.  I feel like I live in a country full of sheep.  Fortunately I'm in a position where I can pretty much tell people that they are idiots and walk away.  I've already deleted several people off of my facebook that don't agree with me.
2. Yeah I know I have too much time on my hands.  Respond quickly before they come to carry me away.  I was undecided which subforum to place this in, so I thought I would just put it in General Chat instead of 2nd Amendment since it touches on government conspiracy quite a bit.   I'm going to go out on a limb here. I'm sure that I will be ridiculed by many and thought to be crazy by several as well. I'm not saying that what I'm about to say is 100% the truth, all I'm saying is stop and think about it and tell me why it could not be the truth. Since and including the Columbine shootings which occurred on April 20, 1999 there have been 29 mass shootings in the United States in which 5 or more people not including the shooter were killed. In most of these shootings many more than 5 innocent people lost their lives. After the most recent shooting many people are speculating that President Barack Obama will takes drastic measures towards gun control by exercising his executive powers. Here is the part where you will think that I've gone off of my rocker... Perhaps the United States government has perpetrated these killings. Throughout the last several years the United States Government has tried to get more power over its people. In my opinion it is their ultimate goal to have total control over us and our possessions. However that pesky 2nd Amendment keeps getting in their way. The first thing that dictators such as Stalin, Hitler, Qaddafi, Castro, Mao Tse-tung, Kim Jong-il, and Pol Pot did was disarm their subjects so that they could not fight back. As the saying goes "The man who hammers his gun into a plow will use that plow for the man that didn't" we will be slaves to our government if we give up our guns. At this point the government has the attention of the antis and the fence sitters. No one but the true patriots will defend their rights if an executive order is signed. There is nothing that the NRA can do to prevent an executive order from being signed. I believe that it is possible that the powers that be have decided that a fair fight against gun owners and the NRA is too difficult so they have decided to fight dirty. Is it possible that the government staged these killings so that the president would have a chance to strip we the people of our second amendment rights without due process? Could it be possible that the powers that be are taking our arms from us to be compliant with Agenda 21? There are many instances throughout history of governments taking control over citizens after they have stripped them of their arms. Why let history repeat it self? Will I get arrested for writing this? I think the 1st amendment is still in effect, though it will not be for long if we loose the 2nd. Will a team of government assassins kill me in my sleep tonight for possibly predicting what the government was possible trying to do anyway? Stranger things have happened. But, I really don't care. This is just an attempt by me, to try to get you to think, I'm not asking anyone to agree with me, all I'm asking is for you to ask if what I have presented here could possibly happen?  I'm wearing my tin foil hat a little tighter tonight.
3. I have refused to watch anything about it on TV.  Not because I'm ignorant, but because I'm sure they are trying to sensationalize everything.  I did confirm the story on a news website after I heard about it but that's all the attention that I have given the media concerning this situation.  I really do believe that when the media harps about these things copycat incidences will take place.  I really do think that Morgan Freeman said it very well...     We are riding a fine line between limiting what the media is saying and stepping on their first amendment rights.  Personally I don't want to infringe on anyone's constitutional rights anymore than I want them infringing on mine.  However, at the same time I hate to see the media sensationalizing such a tragedy while making the shooter a household name while all the while forgetting about the victims.
4. They even have one for my Browning BL-22.  I've looked everywhere for that.  Mods, could we sticky this by chance?
5. RGIS as in the inventory company?  I worked with them several times in my retail days.  Very hard working people.  They were usually fun to be around too.  I think you will have fun with it if you let yourself.
6. Congrats on the job.  Fortunately my employer could care less about my beard.  My wife is my beards worst enemy.  Every time it gets long enough to score a guest spot on Duck Dynasty she makes me cut it.
7. I was playing around with different browsers I tested Firefox, which is my default, Chrome and, Internet Explorer.  The test speeds were 30 Mbps, 27.37, and 20.8 respectively.  FYI.  Had no idea that browsers made that much difference.
8. Yeah it looks like you can get your service through a direct sales person for about 1/2 of what you would pay by calling the office, I'm happy!
9. This just in http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/pao/news/boating_restrictions_near_dams.htm
10. I recently became a Comcast customer. The way to do Comcast is to locate a Comcast direct salesman. I happened to have a friend who works in direct sales and he got me hooked up nice. I really just wanted internet but wound up with internet 30 Mbps,) 200 channels, and a home phone for $79.99 a month, not a promo price that is the permanent price. You save about half going through a direct sales person. Another benefit of direct sales is that if I have a problem be it billing, service, anything I call my direct sales person not an 800 number of someone in India. I did have to place a call to him when the install guy came out and tried to charge me more than I was quoted, the problem was fixed on the spot. I've heard many bad things about Comcast but I really like it so far, and I really like that I have a representative that I can call anytime that will take care of my problems if I have them. If anyone in the Knoxville area is interested I would be glad to pass along contact info. Wow Sam, you are smoking it! I feel that my connection is pretty fast but I'm thinking you can see the future on yours!
11. Nothing unusual about mine probably it was a Ruger Mark II.  Not really a great carry gun but it worked well for qualifying.
12. I have some mixed feelings but I'm not necessarily opposed. On one hand I say anything to get more hunters in the woods is a good thing (until they are in my woods.) On the other hand everybody and their brother hunts rifle, muzzleloader gives those guys that want to do something a little bit more challenging an advantage of not being as crowded in the woods where the deer are not as spooky yet. I was also opposed to allowing crossbows to be used in archery season but I haven't personally noticed any more people in the woods because of that either.
13. Unacceptable. A responsible dog owner would take care of the containment issue and then get the dog. OP, you are a more tolerant person than I, that dog would have been toast the first or at latest second time I saw it harassing my livestock.
14. This really puts this car thing into perspective doesn't it? For me I just really have to draw the line at automatic transmissions. Nobody really needs one of those and they are so dangerous because they make it easier for stupid people to learn how to drive. If NFL players were not allowed to drive cars Jerry Brown would still be with us today.
15. Ever heard that saying about people might think that you are stupid if you don't say anything, or you can open your mouth and remove all doubt. I think that applies to Mr. Costas here. Stick to Football Bob, leave the guns to us.
16. It's about the only thing that I make a point to sit down and watch each week and is about the only thing the wife and I enjoy watching together. It's refreshing to see "reality TV" about a family with morals and scruples. Very nice contrast to pretty much everything else on TV. When was the last time there was something on TV that didn't have, cursing, sex, drugs, violence, etc. and was actually successful? Also interesting factoid, Phil, the father was a QB for Louisiana Tech, Terry Bradshaw was his backup QB. All of the Robertson's except one have college degrees and many of them have post graduate degrees. I'll let you guess which one didn't get their degree.

18. Looks like Costas just doesn't know when to shut up. He's elaborating on Sunday night's statement and making even less sense. Here is an excerpt:
“Here’s where I stand: I do not want to see the Second Amendment repealed. … People should be allowed to own guns for their own protection. Obviously, those who are hunters. … Access to guns is too easy in some cases. I don’t see any reason a citizen should be able to arm himself in some states in ways only police or military should — to have a virtual militia [by] mail order or gun shows. Why do you need a semi-automatic weapon? What possible use is there? … Whitlock wrote about a gun culture. That’s what I was focusing on.”
And the full article... http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/wp/2012/12/04/bob-costas-calls-jovan-belcher-commentary-a-mistake/
19. I had a relatively new radiator in my truck that had a small leak, so small that I had to pressure test it to find it. The leak was actually where the transmission cooler line went into the radiator. I put a huge glob of JB Weld around the leaky area and let it sit up good. 3 years later it is still holding great.
20. Sometimes I think that it is a little weird that I despise guns stores even though I really like guns. Guess this is why. Seems like every time I cross the threshold of a gun shop the people behind the counter are filling my brain with lies and high prices. Most recently was something to the effect of "Semi autos will be banned after this year so you should go ahead and buy this $500 SKS here."
if it is NOT LISTED in the HUNTING REGS, it cannot be legally hunted. Dave S
A couple of years ago I saw a very strange looking deer not too far from my house. I knew for certain that it wasn't a white tail. When I got home I called my game warden buddy and described what I had seen and where I had seen it. Instantly his reply was "I wish you would have shot it." Turned out I had seen a fallow deer that had escaped an enclosure. He told me that it would have been legal to shoot because it was a non native species and Tennessee had no season on it. Generally though just following the book is a good way to keep yourself out of trouble.
22. I'm speechless, sure the comparison is ridiculous but I thought that I would pass this along as I believe that it is important to know what the opposition is saying about us. http://dailycaller.com/2012/12/03/anti-gun-sports-columnist-jason-whitlock-the-nra-is-the-new-kkk/
23. Just once I want someone to die of a papercut sustained from a liberal publication so that we can call for a ban of such publications.
24.
Eric Holder?
My thoughts exactly! That train wasn't headed for Mexico by chance was it? There are binders of drug cartels down there.
