  1. My internet here sucks, did you get the thumb shelf on the left side of the slide for your support hand? I think that is one of the better frame upgrades I have seen on an Agency gun. I hope it shoots good for you, those are supposedly amongst the top tier of glock pistols. When I took my Defensive Handgun 1 course from Sage Dynamics I got to see Aaron Cowan shoot his and it seemed to be very reliable.
  2. Lowe's carries a wide variety of soft sided tool bags that have some good features for a gun bag such as: 1) Zippered top 2) Multiple interior pockets 3) Padded shoulder straps and heavy duty handles 4) Reinforced bottoms Add in the benefit that heavy things like guns and ammo don't look out of place in a tool bag with the comment already made about how you typically dress and no one will give you a second look. Plus you just feel and look so much more manly with a tool bag concealing a suppressed AR pistol than a tennis racket bag with a folded AK.
  3. I have had an RMR on a Glock 17 and Glock 19 for a while now. I am very pleased with it and won't have a carry gun without one. It did fail me once and it was so bad that I had to send it in for repair. Trijicon was very easy to work with and fixe the issue. Back up sights with any slide mounted optic is mandatory.
  4. I had a chance to hold the 80% Glock lower produced by Polymer 80 this weekend. I'm very glad I didn't jump on the band wagon before I got a chance to hold it in my hands. It is very slick and has an overwhelmingly blocky feel to it. I know the Glock isn't exactly spelt, but I was expecting better. I will be holding off for a better option. On the plus side, the beavertail looked really big and should be very functional for anyone with large hands. Did anyone else get a chance to see them at the NRA show?
  5. I bet that was a fun time.  The moving 6" steel at 100 yards sounds very humbling.
  6. I'll be there Friday with two of my buds.  I still have one open seat in my truck if anyone wants to ride with.  I plan on being there a bit before the doors open and walking around until my legs fall off and then driving home.  Hopefully I'll find something I can't live without like a new trigger for my Rem 700 or at least a few T shirts.
  7. I like the MLOK system and have it on my AR-15 as well as my M&P 15-22. I've never had Keymod so I can't compare it to that. My hand guard is an ALG V3. It is very light and was inexpensive. So far it has done what I need it to do with minimal issues. It has a built in QD socket near the barrel nut, but the socket has become distorted from use with a QD adapter. As such I now have a MLOK QD adapter installed on the front of the hand guard that works great in addition to a receiver end plate socket from Magpul. I like a Magpul grip and have used it for years. I use a Magpul MS4 sling and I think it is okay. I will be looking at other sling options in the future, but this is a low priority for me. I use an X300U on my AR-15 mounted at the 12 in front of my forward sight. The one on my Glock can easily replace the one on my AR if it becomes damaged. I use a Magpul hand stop kit instead of a VFG or AFG which I have used and never really liked, maybe if I used a scout light at the 2 it would make more sense. I have some of the MLOK slots on the hand guard blocked off because of blowback and heat from my gas block. And finally I have a suppressor from YHM that I highly recommend. Below is a picture of my AR-15.
  8. Good on ya'll for doing this.  Too far away for me to drive to, but I'm glad to see this event is happening.     What's a spiting contest?     Are you inviting the local media?
  9. I skip alot of what doesn't unterest me so one day will be fine.
  10. What makes it the absolute best survival knife out there?  It just looks like a knife to me.
  11. Man I'm glad I saw this.  I was thinking about buying an X95 from Prepper Guns.  Now I'll just wait until I find one locally.  Thanks for the heads up on avoiding this business.  If Century does right by you I will still buy their product, but if they screw you I'll avoid them as well.  Good luck.
  12. Shotgunshooter is in. PM me for details on where to meet up. Still have one seat available.
  13. I will be driving from Clarksville to Louisville on the 20th of May for the first day of the exhibits at the NRA annual meeting. I had three buddies lined up to travel with me, but two have backed out. I'm offering a ride up there early in the morning and back late that night to anyone* that wants to go with and is reasonably close to my route of travel. Veterans from the Fort Campbell area are preferred. *Disclaimer you must not be a hipster liberal waste of space time vampire full time all time welfare recipient to ride in my truck. There will be a red blooded American bacon eating test to weed out any radical extremist muslims and vegans.
  14. My 5.11 has been working very well for the last two years.
  15. Never seen dryers used before. If these pallets don't work out I might try one if it costs less than a pallet.
  16. I deprime before. I use stainless wet tumbling and figure clean primer pockets are cool. I also batch reload so doing a single process a few hundred times is no big deal to me.
  17. Looks cool! Where's the suppressor?
  18. Todd sounds like a bad day. Good thing a man like would easily find gainful employment and as such won't be trying to rip off wallets. In addition as I walk around America I see people that have more common DNA with Sloths than Todd. Couple that with an iPhone and this gets easier and easier. Todd is smart enough not to pick me over an oblivious blob ten feet away. Fred sounds more accurate. Fred is still plenty scarry. Ambushes are tough to survive and I bet Fred will bring friends. Furthermore, what if Fred is actually 110 pound Franny? Bottom line I get the message. Sweat more bleed less. Thanks for sharing.
  19. I didn't realize it was so rare. I have a box of 50 I'll trade someone for a box 50 9mm FMJ training ammo FTF in Clarksville if anyone is interested.
  20. I was there last weekend for a pistol class.  The owner is a really nice guy.  I would describe the range as spartan/no frills.  It is exactly what you need and not much else.  Lots of construction underway.  If I didn't have access to a private range and I lived near Dover I would shoot there on the regular.
  21. You should really look into the Ruger Precision Rifles.  Guns and Leather had one in 308 a week ago.  For two rifles, it would likely save you about a thousand dollars and a great amount of time.
