  1. Yep. With us going through so many with the youth team my wife has been cranking out any number if things. Jewelry, key chains, Christmas ornaments, etc..... I just have to keep her away from the AA's :) She can have all the Rio and cheapo Winchesters she wants.
  2.   I will have about 500 in hand by next weekend. I'm just 10 or so short of that now. My wife made of with a hand full for shadowbox.   I see them going for .04 each plus shipping all the time on the national forums. I'm thinking .05 each FTF. I should have about 400-500 per month for the next few months going forward. I'm usually at Nashville Gun Club at least once a month for their ATA shoot and I'm in West Nashville a couple times during the week.
  3. Wondering if there are any shotgun reloaders in the Mid TN area?   I have a number if new style AA (red) hulls and will have access to a very large number of Remington Gun Club hulls in the near future. I'm just feeling this out to see if is going to be worth the effort to collect the Gun Clubs (getting the kids to put them in a different bin than the regular trash)   The proceeds for the Remington Hulls would go back to the High School team that shoots them.   I would prefer not to have to ship but would consider it if necessary.   I am a benefactor and would place an ad as the hulls become available.
  4. The Alien gear has adjustable cant. It comes at 15 degrees but raising the back clip will lower the back of the holster giving less cant. Not sure if is completely vertical as I went the other way for more cant.
  5. I only own one IWB currently. A Milt Sparks VM2 for my 3" M13. It fits like a glove compared to some cheaper holsters I had tried prior.   I recently picked up a CZ75 PCR to use to replace my M13 as edc and looked for awhile for a holster. I ended up going with Alien due the features/price and the turn around time. I don't have it in hand yet, but placed the order on the 8th and got the shipping notice yesterday, I expect to have it delivered in a couple of days. This will be my first "hybrid" holster. Fortunately they have a 30 day trial period.
  6. Take a look at a Tyler T-grip for your M36. I have them on all of my K-Frames and they do a great job of filling my hand with the magna grips. They also keep the old-school look.
  7. 2 of my daughters work for a popular restaurant in Franklin and one comes in last night after work and tells me the following story.   A group of people having already ordered and halfway through their meal spots another customer nearby with wearing an empty holster. They proceed to pitch a fit and call management over to complain. He responds that it is perfectly legal and there is nothing he can do. They get up and leave without paying. I asked her if the restaurant is posted and she says no. They even went out and double checked for a gun buster and found none. I think if that was me I would have gone over and slapped them across the face with the empty holster so that they actually have a reason to be scared of a piece of leather. Well, not really. Hopefully I would have the piece of mind to try and set a good example as a CCW, but still what a bunch of idiots. Management should have called the cops for dine and dash.
  8. I usually use Music City Pawn at $25 + $10 for background. The best this is they always call within 30 minutes of getting the gun in. I also recently used Saddle Shop for an outgoing at a good price and service.   I just picked up a transfer using Northside Gun Shop in Columbia for +15 +$10 for background and they accept transfers from private parties.
  9. Fast will always be a relative term.   In 1999 I received a large bonus at work and was on the hunt for the muscle car with the highest factory HP. At the time it was the Camaro SS. Not much to look at but since I was a kid I wanted an all aluminum V8 with a manual transmission. At 325hp (flywheel) it would not even be on the radar these days.    Then there is always the question of when is fast enough. 12s, nope. 11s, nope. 10s, uh yeah.
  10.     Amazon has it for 1.99 per episode. I'm not sure if you have to have a Prime membership or not.
  11. I was at the ATA shoot today at Maury CO GC and there was an add on the board for a Winchester 94 Trapper in 44 mag for $600. I'm not sure how old the add is, it did not look too old. I can post the info is anybody is interested.
  12. My across the street neighbor was on a few seasons ago and made it fairly far. I moved a couple of years ago but from what I understand she tours with Blake Shelton now.   My current brush with "fame" is living a few houses down from Victoria Jackson
  13. It's definitely not limited to Ford. Half the motor in my Camaro is under the cowl. Changing number 8 plug is always interesting and that ground bolt on the back of the passenger head is fun also.     Not a Ford but..... The 12 and 1:00 tranny bolts have to be dealt with in the same way on a T56. I drop the tranny mount and lower the tailshaft as far as I can and reach in with about 5' of extensions. Of course the vent tube was on a bracket that was on the 1:00 bolt. To say the least that did not go back in :)  After the first time of using a floor jack instead of a tranny jack I picked up a $50 tranny jack from Harbor Freight. You definitely get what you pay for, but it was better than bench pressing the tranny into place.
  14. I had a 1100 LW from the mid 70's that we tried to see how long it would take to get a failure. We never found out. At 800 rounds without cleaning it got soaked in a rain storm and we had to clean it. Can't say that about the 2014 1100 Trap I had. Better clean that thing every 200 rounds at the most.
  15. That one in the classifieds was priced better than what I would sell mine for. It's been 2-3 years now that the prices went through the roof for a true JM.
  16. COZI TV has back to back Dragnet and Adam-12 starting at 10:00 am weekdays. It comes on one of the WSMV side channels (4-3 for you OTA Folks).
  17. From what I understand the only difference is the Remcoke or fixed choke. I've swapped the 28" barrel off of my mid 80s 1100 with my recent made 1100 Trap 30" barrel without a problem.
  18. Thanks for the information. I ended up going in a different direction. I think the seller just did not want to go through the effort to deal with the FFL on his side. He ended up selling it locally.
  19. I stopped by the Saddle Shop and spoke with Bill but no luck on the transfer from a private party. He did have a nice Winchester 61 behind the counter though :)
  20. Anybody know of an FFL that will take a transfer from a private party for a long gun? Preferably in the Franklin area.   I usually use Music City Pawn but I don't think they will do a private party.
  21. For OTA go to tvfool.com and enter your address to get an idea of what you can expect to be able to receive.   I went with the Tivo as it had to be an easy transition from cable for the rest of the family. It gives me 4 tuners and the guide which was a must. Not a big fan of the 14.99 a month fee, but it's a far cry from the 200 a month I was giving Charter. I also have a Roku that get used mostly for Sling. But maroonand white is right. At the stroke of 8:00 last night it died :) I had to catch the 9:30 for WD.
  22. Look for the SN# on still on the tang and not on the left side of the receiver.
  23. Have they taken the Hunter's Education Course? Some of the area fields require this to be able to shoot. I know Henry Horton does.   You might check with 4H. My neighbors home school and mentioned that one of his boys shot Trap with 4H a couple of years ago.   We try to get to together with her friends/team mates once a month at Henry Horton to shoot a few relaxed rounds. Let me know if you are interested and I can let you know next time we go. I just started shooting trap myself a couple of months ago and it is nice to have a relaxed group to practice with.
  24. http://www.shootatatn.com   http://www.shootata.com   No more local matches until Mid-September though.   Depending on how old your girls are: http://www.tnsctp.org   Most of the area high schools seem to have a team. My daughter started two years ago as a freshman and loves it. Some of the area teams start them younger. We have a 8th grader on the team this year.   She took SCTP Varsity Lady this weekend at Maury Co. Just two targets out of first over-all. Where I managed to score a whopping 80 and according to the score keeper was in first place for shooting most falling targets :) I tend to wait a while to pull the trigger.
  25. On the south side are Maury County Gun Club, Henry Horton State Park and BIg Springs.
