  1. Good choice on the headers. I picked up almost 30 rwhp when I put in the headers w/o cats. I know the 5th gen factory exhaust in better than the 4th gen (damn y-pipe!) but I would still expect a pretty increase. Between the gears and headers I lost over 6/10s in the quarter mile.
  2. Yes. It is a stroked LS2 block with PRC 237 heads and a Ed Curtis spec cam 236/244 114+2 with .631 lift. It still has the old Grotyohann 1 3/4" headers in the pic. It now has Kooks 1 7/8" headers.
  3. 2000 Camaro SS 6 Speed Bought it new 2 weeks after my youngest was born and she drives it school now occasionally. It went 11.9@115 with the stock heads/cam/shortblock. With ported factory heads and a little cam best was 11.2@124. Stepped up to a 6.6 with after market heads and a good sized cam a couple of years ago but never finished the tuning. It still is very rich at WOT. Intended build number was 600.
  4. Perhaps I am not the most culturally diverse person. But I have to ask. What the hell is up with this guy's hair? Is that a puppy cut?
  5. Something a little different. A S&W 422. I have a 6" model I picked up a few years ago for ~250. It runs anything for SV to mini-mags. Mag prices are a bit steep though.

    Sig 226 or?

I went through the same thing last year. It was between a CZ75 and a 226. I ended up with a PCR and love it. The only complaint is the grips are just a tad too thick for y hands. So I thought I would go with a single stack. Went back to the range and rented a 239 and put 100 rounds through each again. I liked the trigger much better in the CZ. Just need to get some thinner grips.
  7. Mike Orlen has a very good reputation but is in MA. It most likely will not be a Rem choke as the older fixed choke barrels are not thick enough. http://users.dls.net/~rdouglas/MikeOrlen.pdf
  8. I picked up the large competition bag about 3 years ago and it's been great. Versatile enough to go from a day of pistol shooting to an all day ATA shoot. Big and strong enough to hold a full days load of 12g. The included gun rugs are nice as well as the mesh bottom brass bag. Only issue I had was a ring on one of the pocket zipper pulls opened up and the pull came off. No biggie.
  9. Just be prepared to open your wallet Damn things new cost more than most of my guns. Look for a used one. They hold their value fairly well but can be found used for ~900.
  10. Was there any mention of the scheduled ATA shoots? I have not shot out there yet and had a couple of their shoots on my schedule this season.
  11. Good to know. I don't care enough to follow this. But you obviously do. Let's replace the joint with something legal so you won't continue to be distracted by it. Substitute a large can in a brown paper bag. He is sitting in the driver's seat of his vehicle drinking and in possession of a gun. Should that be ignored as well? Just as been mentioned on earlier posts that you continue to ignore. It is illegal to in possession of a gun while under the influence ANYTHING. So the Cops ignore the guy drinking in his car with a gun and he drives off and kills someone while DUI. Does that answer your question as to who is harmed by his actions? This is as bad as the BLM members when questioned about black on black violence. The question is always ignored and the rhetoric fires back up. Ignoring the problem is not helping anything. We all get your point that you've beaten to death that there are laws in place that we do not agree with. Yet as responsible adults we obey these laws and if we do break them we protest in court not on the street with a gun in our face. Condoning other behavior is ridiculous. I seriously doubt that anybody here wants/needs you as their moral compass. At this point I am bowing out of this "discussion". Leroy/TNWNGR are doing a good job of voicing a sane/responsible perspective.
  12. Wow I was quoted twice in one thread. As long as you have a medical card your statement is correct. Only 3 have recreational use. From the Federal perspective it is legal in exactly zero states. No where in the world is it completely "legal" to smoke pot. I think I like the way Leroy said it. " Back to the issue at hand"
  13. If we agree with it or not a smoking pot in public is currently illegal in most states. Possession of a firearm (even if legally owned) while under the influence is illegal. Would it be any different if he was sitting in the car drinking alcohol?
  14. Unless you shooting .410 is a requirement you would most likely be better served with a Model 25.
  15. 03CR - I hope you do get back into it. I know as the parent of a young shooter I truly hope that my daughter will continue lifetime with the sport. Maybe in a few years your little one will want to take it up with you as well. It is a fine thing to stand on the line with your kid in competition and watch them smoke em
  16. Honestly what ever 2 3/4 dram 1 1/8 shells that are the cheapest. I mostly use Remington Gun Clubs or lately I like the Clever T1 shells. Cheap and break targets like AAs in my BT-99. My daughters 1100 Classic Trap hated WInchester Super Targets (white box). Fail to eject far too many times.
  17. Dicks usually has RIo and I believe I remember seeing it on the shelves at Academy as well. Not sure about those specific hunting loads though. I am usually looking for the blue box stuff
  18. We shot singles and ATA state together back in June. I was the guy with the BT-99. My actual name is Mark. I usually shoot around the Nashville area. NGC, Big Springs, Henry Horton and just joined Maury County.
  19. My vote is for gimmick also. My daughter came in with the ammo from the NRA grant this year and I got all excited when I saw flats that said AA. At least until I got the box open and saw the Tracker label. I would much rather have all of my shot payload usable and not stuck in the wad. They also tend to confuse the younger shooters and scorers. Everybody thinks that orange wad is a chip.
  20. Can't believe I missed this thread until now. DOH! Both the Grand and JO Nationals (for my daughter) is on the list next year. I'm switching guns this season and decided to take August of to get ready for 2017 season. 2016 was my first season and had some poor scores early (Ok a couple later also ) that had me stuck in D class all season. Finished with a 88.96 avg in singles. Oh so close. Gotta stay out of D class, she is starting to make fun of me! Shotgunshooter - Are you in the picture with the guys wearing the Kolar shirts or is that your thumb on the on the lens? I wonder if we have shot together in the past.
  21. 3" S&W M-13 in a Milt Sparks VMII. Mostly filled with +P 38.
  22. For those down south. I was recently turned on to Gina's Pizza on the south side of Franklin by Target. I'm on the north side on Spring Hill and drive up whenever we want pizza. Have to wrap it in a giant beach towel to get it home hot, but it is worth the drive.   I hate all chain pizza lately, Not sure what the hell they've done to mess up it all up. I think I've worked at a number of them many years ago and don't remember ever putting out anything that bad. Even during buffet across the street from campus. But then again the manager at Mr Gatti's gave us free reign over the beer tap so that might have something to do with the remembering part:)
  23. We usually stay within a 50 mile radius. There are enough clubs with shoots here that we can shoot almost every weekend and not drive more than 45 minutes.   We should be at the State shoot at Nashville Gun Club in June but I am thinking at taking Nora Ross's Clinic in early April over at Hog Heaven GC in White Pine. I should be able to gather about 1K a week from March till late June. I'm thinking about .03 each FTF.
