    FFL problems

Nothing wrong home home based FFL's but this whole thing sounds kinda shady to begin with.    I wonder what happened to a certain somebody's transfer business in the Nashville area when things didn't work out as expected for the former FFL holder?  Point being, if one suddenly looses the FFL and has inventory and the property of others on hand what happens?
  2.   Nope.  Not all imported ammunition is military surplus...or crap.
  3. There have been a lot of good shows on HBO but Thrones is probably the best ever.   SPOILER ALERT My favorite was Eddard Stark but he got his head chopped off by that little punk and put on display.
  4.   That is not surplus ammo that everyone is fretting about.
  5. Looking good.  So will that take standard AR clips?
  6. I believe the holes you see are for QD sling mounts.  The only place a screw goes in on any fixed AR stock is in the butt to screw into the buffer tube.  That was fun to say.
  7. Here's my bb repeater...

    Gas prices

Whoever thinks domestic oil production will lower prices is living in la la land.
  9.   JoeBob has that for $64.95.....http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/MAGPUL_MOE_Rifle_Stock_MAG404_p/mag-404.htm.  Then add the kit for $38.95...http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/A2_Rifle_Stock_Completion_Kit_p/brn-080-000-554.htm you're at $103.90 shipped.   The PSA kit was last priced at $119.99.  Hint:  on their out of stock stuff you can click "add to compare" then the compare button and it will show the price they were charging.    If you've never ordered from JoeBob's be assured they are one of the finest online stores out there....fast shipping and excellent customer service.  I'm not the only TGO member who can say they've got a lot of my business.
  10. If you ask me one big reason is there are just too many shows now.  It's gotten out of hand.  Knoxville averages at least one show per month.   When I was a kid there were like 2 shows a year (in Memphis) and they were mighty good shows.
  11. If you really want something like a PRS JoeBob sells them for $209.95 (with free shipping).  http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/MAGPUL_PRS_AR15_M16_stock_p/mag-307.htm   Then you'll still need the kit.   Or you could go old school and get a complete A2 stock kit for $58-$64....http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/AR_15_Standard_A2_Buttstock_Assembly_Kit_Black_p/utg-rb-t469b.htm or http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Standard_A2_Buttstock_Kit_p/rra-ar0074k.htm
  12.   They will be moving to 7.  No big company in their right mind would deploy 8 on a wide basis unless they have some massive in-house training program and IT staff who will even fool with it.  Large organizations will be on 7 until a suitable replacement is released.
  13. So now they must approve how you can shoot a gun?  The ATF already approved the thing.
  14.   Lying about it is one thing....a totally unacceptable thing.  Dressing the part is an entirely different matter.  I wonder how many free meals this punk has gotten.
  15. The NRA is not going to go up against the ATF for one specific type or "brand" if you will, of ammunition.  First of all, there are substitutes so no one's rights are being violated, other than in the pocket, but what does the government care about that.  Second, the NRA has some deep pockets but not deep enought to fight this battle.
  16. Moisten the leather and stick the gun the gun in there, wrapped of course, and let it sit a while.
  17. Go Windows 7.  I imagine it will be around a looong time.
  18.   How so?  Did he outlaw self-defense on military bases?
  19.   You would think but in our enlightened society even those on a military base must "shelter in place".
  20.   Thanks.  I knew there was something posted on Fox in the past couple of days like this.
  21. Just happened to me.
  22.   Pick up two more cases of what, 7N6?
  23. Many gun owners are too high-strung for this kind of tomfoolery.  Somebody's gonna have a stroke.
  24. I think I saw a boobie come out.
  25.   Louisville actually.  Just across the river in Blount County.   Shame all the troubles they've had.  They were the only importer who knew how to tastefully put the required marks on guns.   I know they have/had a physical building in Louisville but their imports are marked TGI INC KNOX TN (or something like that).  I believe that also have a PO box in Knoxville.  It's hard to keep up with many of these businesses, especially the Knoxville ones...there are several that most (or many) have heard of that are located here.
