Checkpoints bad.  Citizens do have the RIGHT, maybe not on paper but it's damn sure is a natural right,  to carry on their lives and go about from to and fro without government intervention and checking out said peoples  "just to make sure they're not doing anything bad".   Why is is thread still lingering?

  My absolute limit is .40/round for brass-cased 55 or 62 gr FMJ's. Subtract .10-.15/round for steel-cased.  Still absurd prices for that stupid little bullet.   In other words, what it's going for now if you are patient and shop around.

I prefer Plantman....if I had to choose.     But I do think his suit might be made out of grass.  ;)

Modifying to the point that it is no longer C&R only would apply if you wanted to resell it.  Has nothing to do with what you keep.   For example, if you put some type of plastic stock on a Mosin then tried to sell it to a C&R holder in another state then you could not do so.  It would have to go through an 01 FFL.

I'll go on record as recommending any flavor of the Savage Mark II with a bull barrel.  Mine is amazing when I do my part with the right ammo.

I tend to agree with Robert.  DC is a fantastic place if you care anything for history.  Nearly all of the museums are free and you're already paying for it so why not enjoy it.

Garufa was the name of a sailboat I lived on for 2 1/2 weeks in the Bahamas.  Best vacation I ever had.

  It was designed for Garands, in other words it's M2 ball.  Great stuff with nice, reloadable brass.

Go to Bill's Outpost in Alcoa.  UPS usually delivers by noon and they usually have the whatever in their books by the time you get there.  They're also happy to do it.   They also have a massive selection of very, very well priced guns.  Better than any in Knoxville.  You might check there before ordering anything online as their prices are very competive.

  The paper used to publish results here.  Not sure if the still do but when they did it seems the checkpoints netted a bunch of citations for busted tail lights, suspended licenses, etc.  Maybe one or two DUI's  on average.
