  1.   I don't know but my mom had a station wagon just like the one it the background.  I loved sitting in the "rumble seat" that faced backwards.
  2. I'm hell around my 1/3 acre estate with an electric Craftsman chainsaw.  :D
  3. Pulling out that old box of Winchester .30-30 with a $6.95 price tag from TARGET can make me feel a little old.
  4.   The Tavor intrigues me as well but what makes it a $2,000 rifle?
  5.   Zero chance.
  6.   Can't think of a one.  There are tons of famous people from TN, even East TN, that's easy.  Figuring out who's not from here but lives here ain't easy.
  7. OP asked who LIVES in East TN, not FROM here.   So whatchaya got?
  8. Is "The Great Outdoors" some new WalMart logo?
  9.   I understand Rock Island now makes one as well.
  10. Starship Troopers is an outstanding movie!  It's one of those cinematic masterpieces that causes the channel surfing to stop.  The goofy, over-the-top bravado and cheesy lines make it a classic.    Plus Denise Richards is was hot.
  11. I'm beginning to think the Tri-Cities crowd has no clue as to what's going on there.   There aren't but two towns in the whole county, Erwin and Unicoi itself.  Not surprised there's some type of malfeasance going on.  Interestingly, Unicoi is a Cherokee word for "hazy"  or "fog-draped".
  12.   The problem is how HUD will actively target zip codes and areas that they deem in need of "diversity".  It reeks to hight heaven and is the height of social engineering.   The explosion of suburbs in the past has, in part, been a direct result of people wanting to get away from unsavory elements.  Now the federal government will do everything they can to ensure that you can't get away.  They can't afford to do it, but then again, the average hard-working middle-class family will now find it even harder to afford living in an area free of scum depending on the extents this directive goes.
  13. You did very well.    Gen 2 Glock "compacts" are the epitome of plastic fantastic.
  14. Also, maintain a relaxed grip on the pistol.  Holding it with a death-grip like it's gonna come flying out of your hands also contributes to the problem.
  15.  I saw that earlier Lester and though about throwing it up here.   Maybe some concerned citizen will stop his antics one of these days by just hitting the gas.
  16. Have you seen how they drive?
  17.   And an M1917 rifle instead of an M1903.
  18. Their website advertises it as "Nashville's most seasoned gun range".   That's an understatement if I ever heard one.
  19. Don't forget Das Boot.
  20.   True, their website will tell you the same thing.  $3 for orders under $25 or $4 for orders under $40 if you have a dealer license on file.   They are probably the biggest retailer of gun-related parts and equipment in the world  other than Brownell's but apparently it costs too much for them to fill the simplest orders.
  21.   It has the recoil of a pellet gun.
  22. Now I'm astonished they ever allowed firearms in the first place.
  23. You chose wisely.
  24. Pretty cool.  I'd be a little concerned over availability of the moon clips.  8-round .30 carb clips aren't exactly common.    As a side note, I've always kinda wanted a Ruger Blackhawk in .30 carbine.  They are absurdly loud as I assume this Taurus is.  :D
  25. There is no extra charge for shipping ammo other than the weight.  BTW, ORM-D is being phased out for a more UN acceptable designation, at least as far as labelling goes, effective 1-1-2014.
