Even in small town Politics, Dems are still dirtbags.
Garufa replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This might be a big news flash to many political junkies, but most of the assholes at the top (federal level) started at the local level (city, county, then state). To paraphrase the tree-huggers with whom I have no particular problem.... "Think nationally, act locally" BTW, Dems are not the only snakes in local politics. The shenanigans of these East Tennessee republicans will make your blood boil. ;) -

There will be a new president before Corker is up for re-election. I believe he's in until 2018. Thank you republicans of Tennessee. -
List of the traitors that vote today with Reid

The extent of my leeway given to the Two Tools from Tennessee is that they only voted YES to end debate and allow the bill to proceed to a final vote, just like all the other R's mentioned. The final vote was 54-44 with the TTT twins voting against. The two missing votes are from Republicans. Guess they can now say they had nothing to do with any of it. http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=113&session=1&vote=00209 Same silly, stupid crap those two pulled on the last gun control bill earlier this year. -
That Obama thing's a real beech...call from a family member

Pull the emergency brake and spin the steering wheel. Turn right around from where you where going. That is the best course of action. -
I believe what 10-Ring has is Virginia Creeper. Erik, pulling up 'sang at BSF I'm pretty sure is a Federal offense.

They're both crazy as a shithouse rat.

Here is a dose of Big Brother you might not like...
Garufa replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That's a tricky one as they seceded from Virginia (C.S.A) to rejoin the union. -
Never heard of them. Looks like they are trying to get into the barrel making business and promise those who contribute riduculously low-priced barrels, when they start producing them. Their website shows they already make uppers/80%lowers. It's a gamble for sure.

I don't know about all that but I will attest to the fact that in 2009 that box of ammo was no more than $14.97

Maybe we will get to see Homeland Security in action

I knew the first time I heard the term "homeland" after 9/11 it was all over. -
I predict the finale is going to be horribly disappointing.

Take it to the UPS hub on Callahan Dr @ I-75. You'll have to ship it next day air.

They have to log the firearm into their books which doesn't take more that a few minutes but some dealers will make you wait a while until they get around to it.

I'm thinking the "Made in USA" is correct for this specimen based on some Googling around. The Standard Catalog may not be entirely accurate in it's description Dave.
-
DaveTN is right on the serial number range. It is a K frame, not N. The 1945-1948 range is S811120-S999999. I'd call it 1946.
-
Definitely a pre-model 10 postwar manufactured M&P. The frame could be actual war-time production, thus the Made in USA instead of 4 line Marcas Registradas. They made many of these during the war for military use and had a lot of frames left over at the end.

Homeowners insurance: Changes to roof coverage
Garufa replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
I have heard other companies are starting to do this as well, especially after the storms a couple of years ago. They shelled out untold millions for new roofs. Have not heard from my provider yet, so I don't know what their policy is. Personally, I think it's a crock. With auto insurance you are paid the replacement cost of your vehicle, so if they have to replace a 5 year old car it is assumed you can find the same make, model and year as that value. You can't go out and find a used roof to throw up on your house. Say you're 12 years into some 25 year shingles and disaster strikes. Now you're going to get only 50% of the replacement cost of new materials, and you HAVE to get a new roof, an expediture you had not planned on for another 12 or 13 years. It's a rip, IHMO. -

You caught me in the middle of thinking, Mav. You quoted while I edited. ;) -
Another reason people need to start paying attention when they're driving around here so they don't cause a "wreak" and subsequent explosion.
