Doesn't matter what state law is if you break campus regulations and get kicked out.  If you read the link I posted, UT considers a bow and arrow or anything else that delivers a projectile a weapon.

Definitely a no-go at UTK so I assume it applies to all UT campuses. I do believe they allow, or did at one time, students to keep such "weapons" at the PD and check them out as needed.    You can search this doucument for weapon....http://dos.utk.edu/files/Hilltopics%202012.pdf     Can't speak to what other universities and colleges in the state do, I would assume they all have similar regulations.
