  1.   Weight is totally irrelevant, contrary to what some people think.   Unless wrestling it involved, then it definitely is.
  2. Since the debate continues I will ask what I asked in the first epic thread and got nothing but politician responses.   What would YOU DO as a licensed and permitted handgun carrier if someone was on top of you slamming the back of your head into the pavement?   The events leading up to your potential death or permanent disability are really irrelevent.  At the point Zimmerman fired the shot heard round the country he was in such a postition and the events leading up to that do not justify his "taking an ass-whoopping".
  3. It is a parts gun manufactured post war "maybe" using surplus parts, in other words, a replica.  In that sense it is not a "true" Lithgow.  Several outfits produced and/or sold these rifles, Jovino (or JJCo) for one, Navy Arms was another.    Start Googling Jovino Lithgow, Lithgow no markings, etc., you'll get the idea.   That being said it might be a fine rifle, but if you're wanting something authentic this is not it.
  4. Looks like you got the canned response for birthers.
  5. What markings and dates are on the receiver "wrist"?    It is marked Jovino or JJ CO anywhere on it?
  6. Impeachment proceedings begin in the House.  ;)
  7. So does Aero make Surplus Arms & Ammo lowers?     Maybe they have the Colt syndrome.
  8. So just how many scouts are gay?  Are they even old enough to be gay?
  9. East Tn, like many other places, is absolutely being destroyed by prescription narcotics.    It's gotta stop.
  10. Pretty ammo does not shoot any better or worse than ugly ammo.    That's all I have to say about that.
  11.   It costs money that could go towards ammo.
  12. First, go setup a target.  Then what I would do is take the upper completely off and take out the BCG so you can see down the barrel.  Put it on some bags or some other steady rest.  Look down the bore at the target then adjust the dot to be about the same place.   Put rifle back together and start shooting for fine-tuning.   That's the cheap and easy way to do it.
  13. This is relevant to my interests even though I have not yet started loading for the M1.
  14.   That $3 is the "special handling charge" for spending under $25.   I'll say it again, Uncle Larry really needs to work on those shipping costs.  Missouri ain't all that far from TN.
  15.   Do you have any idea what VHS players cost when they first came out? CD players, computers, DVD players, cell phones, plasma and LED tv's, etc, etc, etc?   Within the next 2 - 3 years any idjit will be able to print out a gun for a fraction of that $1,750.
  16. Note to self:  put needle-nose pliers in range bag.
  17. It always amuses me to hear dealers bitch about no one buying.
  18. The ignorance of people in this country never ceases to amaze me.
  19.   You might be surprised (or maybe not) how much that very thing happens at gun shows.
  20. If you can run through 1000 .375 H&H Magnums we should package you up for sale.
  21. This is pretty significant considering there are 64 counties in CO.  So here you have 54 of 64 Sheriffs standing up.
  22. Uncle Larry really needs to do something about his shipping costs. I'm a big fan of MidwayUSA but MO is not that far away from TN and that shipping price schedule by dollar amount orded really bites me.
  23. I want lumens of the sun.
  24. How many lumens is it?
