  1. Cool thread!  Are these 9mm or 7.62x25?
  2. The first gun shows I attended were there.  Might have to go to this one.
  3. Ya'll got to remember, these shows are mostly for entertainment only.  I surely hope you all aren't expecting to pick up anything useful!  If you want something useful, go on Youtube and watch some Ray Mears vids or some of Mors Kochanski videos.  Those are full of good info about surviving in the wild.
  4. I would like that trade!  But I like revolvers, especially older ones.
  5. Same here!  I'd be leery of any group that would allow you to be a member too!
  6.  Looking at my collection, I would select my Remington 521 and my Ruger Blackhawk .357/9mm convertible.   I am cheating, I know, buI I don't care.
  7. Saiga makes a .308 too.  Doesn't get in less complicated than an AK.  Should be able to get a new one for around that price. Great rifle in a great caliber!   http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=356178043   BTW, I wouldn't worry about them coming to take them away, later on.  Which they may do.  I'd get one before they no longer allow them to be sold.
  8. The Savage 99 is not a single shot.  I believe it's a internal box.  Another lever action you might want to consider is a Winchester Mdl 88 in .308.  Obviously, they don't make them anymore, but they were a top notch modern lever action when they were made back in the day.  You still see them around from time to time.   I would think that a lever gun in .357 or .44  would be the ticket!  They seem to be rare as hens teeth, though.  However, there were a couple of Marlins in .357 for sale here in on the board, this week.
  9. I would LOVE to have one of these in .357/20ga!  To me, that's the ultimate combo!!!
  10. I have a Ruger MkII Target and I love that thing! I've never had a mis-fire or a jam.  It's plenty accurate.  I can't recommend them enough.  Everyone should have one in their Safe.
  11. They are hard to find though! I don't think they are made anymore. Savage is making a Model 42 now, which is an updated Model 24 with plastic furniture. It come in either .22LR/410 or .22WMR/410. http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/Model42 As for the inserts, I've read good and bad things about them. It's probably not something I would buy.
  12. I'd go for the 686, then the SIG.  Not a Mini fan.  I've had two of them and will never have another, so I would stay away from that one.  But that's just my 2 cents.  You go with what you like best of the the three. :)
  13. I've heard good things about these pistols. How does it shoot?  Looks like it would conceal well, due to the flatness.  How ergonomic is it?
  14. Moped

    FAL vs G3 vs M14

If you don't like the AR10. then I'd go with the PTR and never look back..
  15. Erik, you are exactly right.  Thank the press, the NAACP, Obama, Holder, Liberals and McCain, because they are the ones beating the drum on this!
  16. I have no problem with an officer using an AR in this capacity, but how does an LEO search and cuff a suspect, while trying to hold onto the rifle?
  17. Not straight up.  The Glock is worth more.
  18. Sure hope it's true!  If so, CYA Piers!  Don't let the screen door bump ya in the bum on your way out!!! :)
  19. Prayer sent!
  20. Not sure there are many places that sale 28 gauge shells anymore.  410s are expensive as heck, now!
  21. That thing looks like a BRUTE!!! :)  Congrats!!!
  22. Complete cigar noob here!  So you can't purchase JRs locally?  A friend of mine gave me one to try a couple of weeks ago and I went to the shop he frequents, but they had none.  Explains that!  I was looking for a JR Edicion Limitada Montecristo.  I did pick up a Padron 3000, a Room 101 Serie San Andres and a Rocky Patel Sumatra for this weekend's festivities.  We are camping!!! :)
  23.   On this, we can agree! :)
