  1. If this was it, I would be shootin' first and askin' questions later! :D
  2. Glad to see that they are changing the sight radius on the AK.  I've always felt that it was the only weakness the AK had.
  3. Makes a lot of sense, spending a bunch of money on a trip to Africa, while our soldiers receive furloughs.  Washington is so F'ed up!!!
  4. My favorite auto was a Browning Hi-Power MkIII 9mm.  It was stolen, but it was a super shooter!  My favorite revolver is my Colt Agent .38 spl.  Super trigger and very accurate for a snubby!  The best autoloader I currently own is a Springfield 1911a1 "Loaded" Edition.  My wife owns a Glock 17 that rivals it.  It's just not a sexy as my Springfield!

    Tat Explosion

I don't mind tats and think some of them are pretty cool, especially sleeves!!I Personally, don't think I will ever get one though.  What I do mind is people having X-rated ones and showing them off in public.  My Splash Country story, along these lines, happened several years ago.  There was a young guy there, that had a tattoo over his whole back that showed a skeleton having sexual relations with a voluptuous young woman. And don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude at all, but Management should made him cover that up.  It had no business being exposed in a family oriented venue.   What the heck are people thinking when they get stuff like that inked on their bodies?  I mean at some point you figure he is going to be raising kids.  How do you explain that to them?
  6. Very troubling!  I would love to keep up with this suit, to see how it turns out.
  7. You two are old!
  8. It wasn't that long ago, that you could pick these up for around $160.  Welcome to the new reality. :(   Nice pick up!!!
  9. I'll take an All American Burger all the way, with fries!  Oh, you were talking about a blade! ;)
  10. I have always wanted one of these!!!  Beautiful job!!!
  11. Unfortunately, history has proven that you can't trust Governments.  That goes for our Government too.  It may be that the people in charge NOW are trustworthy, but who is to say that the ones following them will not mis-use about this tool, the intelligence community finds so invaluable? Better to do away with this program now and others like it, than to pass this on down to future generations to have to deal with.
  12. Oh, I think history as proven us Christians are as savage as those Muslims, when we want to be and it suits our purpose.
  13. Children will never be allowed to marry parents, nor siblings be allowed to marry each other.  No one would like the results of the offspring.   Most of Tennessee might be in Dixie (East Tennessee did not support the Confederacy, and was considered occupied territory by the CSA.  I'm pretty proud of that), but it won't matter, because in the next 20 years Gay marriage will be legal here.  The next generation is going to see to that.  This is a total non-issue to them.   The Government will never get out of the marriage business, because it's about taxes and benefits, two things the Government can't stay away from.
  14. The $500 I have invested in my .223 Saiga is some of the best money, I've invested in a firearm!  It's simple and rugged and as accurate as I am.  I've been shooting AR's for more than 30 years and I'd pick my Saiga over any of them.
  15. We were talking about this last weekend, at a family get together.  The younger adults were not aware of the older folks definition of the term.  They found it quite funny!!!
  16. Then you would have a more service members on welfare, food stamps, etc, because you can't support a family in the service, on a service member  salary.   I have no problem with gay marriage at all.  My personal feeling is that the Government no longer issue a marriage license.  They should instead issue Civil Union Contracts and leave marriage to the churches.  Marriages would no longer have legal standing, but instead marriage would just be a religious ceremony.  Civil Unions would have legal status.
  17. That's too funny! :D
  18. I bet extra mags are a PITA to find!  Nice looking pistol, though!
  19. Just saw the video on TV.  From the sound of the first kick, till he was beating her up, was about 5 seconds. He beat her a couple of times.  Kicked her in the face at least once.  Went through the house while she was stunned.  Then he saw the ring on her finger, beat her some more, stole the ring and then picked her up and threw her down the basement steps.  He did all this in front of the 4 year old.  She did not scream, because she was afraid if she did, her child would start screaming too and he might harm the child.   She literally had no time to retrieve a firearm, unless she was actually carrying in on her person.  You all should find the video and watch it.  It will make you think about how much time you actually have to react.
  20. I just went up to see if Ms. posted my comment which I sent on the 17th.  The comment I posted was courteous, thoughtful and I thought insightful.  However the censors at Ms. have not posted it.  Nor at this point do I think they will.  The did inform the brainless anti-gun droolers that Ms. was not going to be posting the rest of the her segments.  The Huffington Post is going to.  So you all might want to start checking there.
  21. Long dang way to be traveling in a SHTF situation.  Got quite a few rivers to cross and not a lot of bridges.  Those are natural choke points and points of control for whoever has the power to control them.
  22. Do they not have Codes Enforcement in Rutherford County?  That's who should be serving the warrants.  That is not a LE duty.  Now I could see a Deputy coming a long with the Codes Enforcement Official, if the property owner is violent or threatening.   Spots, you probably shouldn't live in a city, brother.  Just sayin' ! :)
  23. Dolomite, you can have your water tested.  There are several labs in the are that will come out and test it for you, if you don't trust the state to do it.  There are even kits you can purchase, for such things.   http://www.watertestingusa.com/pages/knoxville.html   http://www.microbac.com/our-laboratories/knoxville-division/   You can Bing the Drinking Water Test Kits.  But they are out there and affordable.   One other thing, some one mentioned sometimes having a strong smell of chlorine in their water. Whenever there is a break in the waterline, the utility may increase the dose of chlorine to avoid contamination of drinking water for a period of time.  I am on KUB water and I find mine to be as good as bottled water.  As a matter of fact, I rarely drink bottled water.  I consider it a big waste of money and it empty bottles take up a ton of space in our landfills.  It drives my wife and kids crazy, because I won't buy it.
  24. Yeah, you are right.  That's what we did, performed renditions and sent them to other countries for interrogations.  I believe we have some CIA Agents that can no longer travel abroad because there are are warrants for their arrest in Italy.  So imagine that China could do the same thing.  The thing is, if we hadn't been spying and gathering intelligence on our own people, the Government wouldn't be worrying about all this in the first place.    BTW, interesting article in the Washington Post about the FISA courts, today.   http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/for-secretive-surveillance-court-rare-scrutiny-in-wake-of-nsa-leaks/2013/06/22/df9eaae6-d9fa-11e2-a016-92547bf094cc_story.html   Seems like this is some sort of Secret Tribunal working in our country, one that's not transparent to the citizens of this country
