  1. Take some white spray paint to that steel and you can see where you are hitting it a lot easier.
  2. My old boss came home from work one evening and his wife said "do you know what your son did today"? And then told him Zach thru his demilled hand grenade thru the window, and my boss said it must have been a heck of a battle when you have to toss a grenade into you own barracks. I don't think she found that amusing.
  3. Thanks for the info Legion. Neat to have your grandfather's medal. Thank you and all servicemen and servicewomen for their service!!
  4. You are correct 2 wrongs don't make a right, but 3 lefts do!!
  5. 1 extra mag in front pocket, and extended mag when on church security, always 2 or 3 in my truck's console. I would rather have too many as not enough!!
  6. How true Ronald. I remember a few things my dad told me and 1 was not to tarnish your good name, because that was basically all you had going for you. He said you screw up and lie or steal or whatever and you could move to California and that bad rep would follow you. It certainly isn't the same world we grew up in. At age 9 I would buy a box of .22 shorts for plinking and squirrel hunting for $0.39, now kids can't buy knives, spray paint or glue for model cars. What a sad state of affairs!!! And ponder on this for a minute or two, we all had our own guns or access to them and no-one that I know even thought about taking a gun to school to shoot anyone. What went wrong? It isn't the fact of easy access to guns, it is some societal problem. Possible a parental problem??
  7. If I had to guess I would say the 80's. But it is just a guess.
  8. Sort of like allowing a wuhan virus to escape and come here??? I said a long time ago, never have to fire a shot, just turn the germs loose!! Can't see them, can't defend against them unless you have a MASK!!!
  9. Just like the Supreme Court, they aren't there to make laws. That is job of Congress. The BATF doesn't have any authority to make "laws". And unless I am a complete moron their suggestions are just that.
  10. My son said his banker told him this "coin shortage" was a bunch of bull. He said it is all part of "the" plan to quit using currency and going to "the chip", no credit cards, no currency, just a chip or "NO SOUP FOR YOU". Truth or not I do not know. Just passing it along. I guess when people refuse the chip and they won't take the money, I don't know what folks with hungry children would do, but I have a really good idea!!
  11. I had a friend back a few years that him and his dad would reload .45acp on a Dillon Square deal and his dad would tell Paul, hey we got some empty brass that needs to be filled. It really bugged him that they had brass that needed to be loaded. I like to keep a good bit loaded also, and it sure is nice in these panic times to go out and leisurely crank out 500 rounds of .38 just to go plinking with.
  12. Use a slingshot, much more efficient!!
  13. Mr. Slick Willy Clinton got me into reloading years ago. When I heard they were trying to make primers with a specified life span it got me to thinking a nice pistol, rifle or shotgun would be a very poor weapon without ammo. A 2 Iron would be much more efficient. So I started reloading, 1 reason I never have been fond of .22 WMR, I can load lots of more powerful ammo cheaper. Hey Raoul you aren't the one picking up Dennis brass are you? LOL
  14. Yea it certainly is more expensive, granted I cast my own lead bullets. But I can load 9mm, .38 special, .40 S&W and .45 acp for about a nickel a round. That would be $2.50 per 50 round box or a savings of 63,8% based on the 9mm I just purchased. And btw I don't even own a 9mm, got that for my son.
  15. Just a heads up for anyone wanting large rifle primers. Midsouth shooter supply has CCI and Federal magnum primers for less that $0.04 each. Passing the info along.
  16. I bought some 9mm fiocchi 115 gr fmj for $15.95 box of 50 locally. That is $0.32 per round.
  17. Personally I think driving without headlights should be punishable by flogging. I see idiots every time I drive in the evening that don't have their lights on, and in the fog and pouring rain. Personally I WANT people to see me and maybe, just maybe stay on their side of the yellow line, which is a dream.
  18. But would you sell every last primer that you had for money? I certainly would not. I will share with friends and sell to some for just what I paid for them. I will not be a scalper. If these idiots keep doing this the ammo companies are going to raise prices thru the roof and say that we will pay whatever they charge us. Primers can be reused, it is a timely process, but it can be done.
  19. You think that is bad I heard from more than 1 source when the .22 "shortage" occurred more that 1 brick of .22 was sold for $250, depending on if it was a 500 or 550 round box price per round would be $0.4545 to $0.50 each for .22lr. That is needing some .22 pretty badly.
  20. I just saw 5,000 Winchester small pistol primers go for $750 on GB. I need to add that this is plus shipping of $20 also. That would bring it to $154 per 1,000. Folks are desperate. I saw large rifle primers go for $150 back around '08.
  21. There is a hickory on the property line and it has dropped several immature nuts. Go figure, so Greg you can come pick them up if the squirrels and mice don't get them all!!
  22. I searched for this before I started this. Thanks Mac
  23. Hi all, a neighbor who is part time here and part time in Fl. and me were talking about security camera's. I have wi-fi and he doesn't, does anyone have any suggestions on a system? Thanks Mac
  24. Thanks all I got a set of Hornady Nitride on the way.
