  1. Yep always been a pickup man!! RIP Joe
  2. Plus they are mighty tasty. I had a co-worker some years ago that had a side business cooking chicken on a stick and such at craft shows and such. Well another co-worker provided the turkey breasts, Tommy the cook cut them into chunks about the size of a hickory nut and fried them puppies up. Just like Andy Griffith said, mmm,mmm GOOOOOD!!
  3. As my usual custom of drinking my morning coffee and perusing the news, I looked out my window and noticed this. There were blue birds, blue jays, wrens, cardinals and squirrels and they had no clue nor were they concerned that there is a world wide pandemic. As the whole world is in turmoil among humans, the animal world is continuing on, never for a moment missing a meal. So I though this verse from the Bible was in order. Matthew 6:26 NLT Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?
  4. Sneaky is a rather "nice" adjective to call these "scumbags" for no better word in mixed company!!
  5. And you never see a fellow with no hands, that absolutely stops his stealing days. I ain't too sure we shouldn't do the same. Danged AJ I figured you to be old, but not THAT old!! I had to do it. LOL
  6. Was that perhaps the veggies & fruit that the little snowflakes have been taped coughing on?? Those little &astards should be beaten and then either put into stocks or tarred and feathered. And then go get the parents that weren't raising them correctly and do the same!! Sorry I have a very low tolerance of such actions.
  7. So true, what are you gonna do shoot the virus?? I think it is wise to have some ammo on hand for a rainy day. For some that is 1000, for some 100,000. That isn't my business nor do I care. In a SHTF scenario unless you are in a tank or armored vehicle I doubt you are going to shoot more than 3 or 4 mags before getting shot yourself. You see it ain't like deer hunting as they don't shoot back.
  8. I really hate to see all this crazy stuff happening. But somehow I don't feel any compassion for the people that haven't bought at least a few guns and a few boxes of ammo over the last few years of milk and honey plenty and cheap. I recall the price gouging after Sandy Hook, I had a friend who personally saw in New Orleans gun show, bricks of .22lr going for $250, and I saw a guy on gunbroker pay $125 for 1,000 large rifle primers. We as humans are our worst enemies in times like these. People tend to panic and that doesn't solve any problems. I wouldn't doubt .22lr going thru the roof and not seeing any for a few years again. It is similar to our grandparents and some of our parents generation: keep food in your pantry in case of a snow storm, hard times or whatever. We are far from wealthy, but we keep food in our pantry, have a nice raised bed garden and we can do without toilet tissue if it comes down to that.
  9. Yea tell that to the sheeple that can't find any ammo for their brand new toy!! I heard a guy on youtube that has his ffl said that guns and ammo everywhere were selling way faster than after Sandy Hook.
  10. Hey guys saw this earlier. It is kind of long, but shows how "those in power" want to flex their muscles. https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/new-orleans-mayor-can-restrict-sale-transportation-of-firearms-and-alcohol/
  11. And just what is wrong with camo?? Camo is the perfect color for men, they drop food on their clothes and dirt and such so it all blends in and doesn't stand out unlike if we were wearing a white jumpsuit like Evil Knievel.
  12. You can still get monkey wards catalogs, but it is mighty thin.
  13. Hey E-4 if you will provide your own T.P. we have a nice new fiber optic with 25.8 mbps download and 2.3 mbps upload. I totally feel for you, in the past we had to do cellular. But based on where you live it is amazing you have electricity!! LOL
  14. I despise both of those species. I would have guineas, but I hate to listen to them.
  15. You are correct, there are people that cannot handle being confined to their small world. Depression is easy to succumb to. We need to look out for our older neighbors, church members etc.
  16. Hey guys, this is what happens when you have too much time on your hands. Do you think that pulling your boat to the lake is non-essential. Really will the LEO think it is non-essential?
  17. I noticed a few days ago that TWRA closed all their shooting ranges until further notice. This is an outdoor venue and most folks don't get within 6 foot unless to shake hands and now we know that is a no-no. But got a notice from Dead Zero that they are hosting a steel challenge match?
  18. Well evidently some people didn't take heed to the previous ones. Hence the reason to cast and reload. Plan on using this confinement to see how many projectiles I can cast.
  19. Prayers for all affected will be lifted. God is and always will be in control. Stay safe guys & gals!!
  20. I was cleaning some weeds off of last years tater patch and uncovered a few taters that were sprouting. So I went to the barn and gathered a bucket of taters with eyes and did my first planting in 4 raised beds. I may start tomato, pepper and onion seeds in a few days. FYI, for the last 2 years I have planted and had good harvest of bush green beans. When the first batch slows, pull them out and replant or start another raised bed. We have carrots, bell peppers, yellow squash in the freezer from last years garden plus potatoes in the barn. I am even considering building about 4 more raised beds. If this covid-19 hangs around for 6 months, those delicious veggies may help our family and the neighbors. Ya'll stay safe and happy gardening.
  21. I had to share this, I figured we all needed a good laugh. I saw this on CL. https://bgky.craigslist.org/zip/d/auburn-free-toilet-paper/7093340235.html
  22. Don't you be polluting my fishing hole!!
  23. Yep Pop pop, been seeing toms strutting here and there. Hope you and your family have a very enjoyable trip and great weather. Spring time is my favorite season. It is the renewal of all the flowers and trees and animals that make you want to get up a little earlier the next morning.
  24. And where might that be if everyone is quarantined and the supply chain for food, meds and other essential items are stopped cold in their tracks? Just saying.
  25. I think the media is trying to create a frenzy that could upset folks going to the polls in November. And no I don't wear or have a tinfoil hat. There are 30,000-45,000 people that die every year of the flu and you don't hear CNN say much about it. There is plenty of toilet tissue to go around if people wouldn't buy 2 years worth at a time. This reminds me of the .22LR "shortage" we had. I would love to know how many billion or more rounds aren't setting in the bottom of a lot of gun safes that will never be shot. But they got em!! I saw a figure and don't know if it was true saying that ammo sales had went thru the roof since the virus got bigger. Are some guys going to shoot the virus?? The figure for .40 cal was something like 470% increase. Oh well lets see what the media can stir up tomorrow. Boy Howdy!!
